I contacted about eight different companies for a quote, including Rick at Tri-City Plumbing. Rick came out within a day or so and got me a detailed quote a couple of days after that. In fact, Rick was one of only three companies that actually got back to me and quoted the job. I took time to get all my quotes together and by the time I decided on Tri-City, Rick's quote had "expired". He said there would be no problem, he would honor the price and we booked a time to begin the work. The technician arrived right on time and early enough for me to review things before I left for work. These guys are plumbers, they don't cut drywall and they certainly don't patch it. I had done some extensive exploration on my own ahead of time and had things opened up enough for him to do his job. The entire project took three days to complete and at the end of each day any mess was cleaned up and I had running water. As a tradesman myself I not only notice but also appreciate quality work. No disappointments here. Pipes are run straight and parallel and are secured neatly. This was no small job and it certainly wasn't cheap, but it was a price I fully expected to pay. There were no surprises and I paid what I was quoted. A job well done.

We…read morecalled TriCity Plumbing as we knew we needed a little work done for our kitchen reno to fix some problem areas done by a previous owner. I explained to him that this was going to be my forever home and so I wanted to do things right--especially while the walls were open. He assessed the work and made recommendations and gave the reasons why he made those recommendations in language I understood. In the end we redid the whole home! Marc was an excellent communicator throughout the project. Kept me informed but also didn't disturb me while I was on work calls, and for areas where he needed feedback from me he ensured he used my time effectively. This is important to me because I do have many meetings throughout the day. He kept the work area tidy and his work was so precise. My husband and I really cannot say enough great things about him. Even our dog loved having him here. One of the other amazing things Marc did was we had a gas fitter run a gas line to our kitchen for a new stove. Marc noticed that the fitter made a mistake and made sure to make me aware but he did this in a very professional way that didn't call down the other contractor. This really sat well with us and that issue is now being resolved.

I wish I could give these guys a zero!…read more Warning: Be Cautious When Hiring Moe's Plumbing I'm a developer and builder with over 25 years of experience in the industry, having completed more than 30 new builds and renovations. For the past decade, I've relied on a trusted plumber--someone who's honest, reliable, and gets the job done right. Recently, my go-to plumber was tied up, so he referred me to Moe's Plumbing to look at an issue with my Navien Combi boiler, which was installed less than a year ago. Their technician came out, diagnosed the problem as a dip switch setting during commissioning, and claimed it had caused the failure of the three-way valve. He told me the part wouldn't be covered under warranty and sent me a quote for $1,300 to fix it. Before moving forward, I called my plumber and explained the situation. Since he had installed and commissioned the unit himself, he wanted to take a closer look. After investigating, he contacted Navien directly--and that's when the truth came out. The part was under warranty. In fact, Moe's Plumbing had already ordered the part under warranty and had it shipped to their location in Maple Ridge, completely free. When my plumber confronted them and asked why they were charging me $1,300 for a free part, they had no good explanation. He ended up picking up the part from Moe's and installed it himself. The job took no more than two hours. Moe's Plumbing not only tried to bill me for a part they got for free--they also inflated the labor for a simple repair. And when it came time to hand over the part, they made a big fuss, despite the fact that it wasn't even theirs to charge for. Now they're trying to backpedal, saying the technician made an error and that it was all a misunderstanding. That's simply not true. I spoke directly with both the technician, Davis, and the manager, Soroosh Piryaei. I have no doubt they saw an opportunity to take advantage of someone they assumed wouldn't know any better. To me, this was a clear attempt at dishonesty--charging for something free and gouging on labor. If you're considering hiring Moe's Plumbing, proceed with extreme caution.

We were in contact with him over e-mail to set up a time. They told us that it was a $80.00 call out fee and that they would provide an upfront quote (on site) after inspecting the problem. The $80.00 is then supposed to be deducted off the total. However, none of that happened when Moe came to look at our faucet hose. He went straight into putting in our new faucet (which we had obtained ourselves) and didn't provide an estimate. It took him, at most, 45 minutes and that was with plenty of chatter. I shudder to imagine how much they would have charged us if we had been required to use their replacement faucet. The main issue was when I was given the invoice - they billed $300.00. Yes, you read that right, $300.00! Shocking. Luckily, we had what the son wrote in writing and were able to get them to apply the $80.00 from the total. After that experience, I have zero plans of doing business with them again.
