W.O.W. is a privately owned business, not a chain or corporation, so they still seem to be focused on customer service as a priority. This was obvious when I showed up as a walk-in without an appointment. No one was available at that very moment, but the representative at the counter called a technician who had left for lunch and asked if it was possible to book me upon her return 15 minutes later. She said, "Yes!". Bonus, the wait was less than 10 minutes. During that time, I filled out a health related form that would allow the technician to do the waxing safely. The facility is clean and modern. They have a soothing color palate. The waxing rooms are large enough for the technician to freely walk around all sides of the waxing table without bumping into anything. The waxing table is quite high, but they do have a stepping stool. The table is strong and able to support the weight of both men and women, but it isn't fixed to the ground, so it will slide if you dive with forward movement into the table. My technician was very chatty, but I appreciated her friendliness, candor and her ability to get the job done. I didn't realize until later that while she was doing my eyebrows, she somehow managed to get a clump of wax in the hair on top of my head. Thankfully with a little olive oil and a cotton pad and then some shampoo, conditioner and water, I was able to remove the wax without removing my hair and without leaving a bald spot above my forehead. That would have been a serious problem! With disaster easily averted, overall I found the experience, the prices and the facility meeting my expectations, so I will most likely return. read more

We only wax is a convenient wax parlor that definitely caters to your needs. Since relocating to Dallas I've had a difficult time finding a sugar bar so I settled to wax and definitely happy I did. Although wax is my second favorite the ladies here took care of me . I was recommended a few items for after care and overall was satisfied with my service. The only complaint I have is the rooms could be a tad bit cleaner. I saw a big dead bug on the floor and the tables where the wax pots and supplies are were dirty. I personally just think the rooms should be spotless at all times due to the nature of the salon . However I will still recommend this salon. The girls were nice, they did a good job. read more

When I got here I was greeted with kindness and to refer to other reviews (which made me a bit skeptical to come here) I was not getting millions of calls to confirm that I was going to make it in. I honestly forgot the name of the wonderful lady who assisted me, but she was super adorable and talked to me throughout the waxing process . I went and got waxed from someone with the name starting with the 'c', overall she was fantastic and I wouldn't want to see another waxer. My 1 star complaint is about the management, and how they handled it when I got charged on my membership extra after 2 months. They told me they don't know anything about it and would not charge my card back. I talked to a woman named Jennifer who was manager and she had the upmost disrespect with my situation, and was no help at all. I had a very bad and unpleasant experience here. I went for my Brazilian wax today , which normally is supposed to be a 45 mins appointment, but she finished it within 15 to 20 minutes. She used very big strips for waxing, and that's why it caused me a lot of pain. The pain lasted for two hours after the session which never happened with me before. This wasn't the first time I was getting a Brazilian wax done, and never have I experienced such pain before. Each place I've been to completed waxing in smaller parts, rather than covering larger portions at once. I had heard good reviews about this place, and thus had decided to go forward with this, but I am highly disappointed. read more

I think one thing that would be helpful for both experienced waxers and those going in for their first bikini / Brazilian, it's good to know your expectations for an experience and to also be familiar with a particular businesses' waxing services prior to the first appointment. For their Brazilian waxing, this location uses a "hard wax" technique which is different than what I had experienced at other waxing businesses. The other business I had gone to in another city prior to living in Dallas used a soft wax technique combined with the cloth strips. The techniques are a little different. Hard waxing doesn't use strips; it is applied at a warm liquidy consistency then briefly left on so it cools to a "hard" but pliable consistency and then is used as the strip itself. The soft waxing instead slathers the wax on, a cloth strip is applied, and immediately ripped off. Now, the hard waxing takes longer, but it was exceptionally less painful than my soft waxing experiences. My esthetician, Lily, told me it is because the soft wax pulls the skin, while the hard wax mostly attaches to just the hairs. Obviously in some intimate areas there will still be some sting when the hair is pulled, but overall I was shocked at how much less it hurt in comparison. I had never done hard wax before this business. So my main point is, don't go in expecting the session to be lighting fast, but know it will be a less painful experience if you are used to the wax with strips / soft wax methods. I was done around 45 minutes. The soft wax place I used to go to before took anywhere from 20-30 minutes for a Brazilian, but they were also applying it fast and ripping faster (as you should with that technique) and it was much more painful to me and once left me bruised. Also I was usually pretty sore and red afterwards - my redness with this salon was gone in less than 2 hours and I didn't experience any tenderness or bruising. Lily was great. Very friendly, thorough, and professional while also taking the time to listen closely to my needs, and even better, put my requests into action! She was very gentle when needed but efficient. She made the new and different experience the best it could be and I will be going back. She also talked with me the whole time to ease my nerves and take my mind off the waxing as much as possible. And the pleasant part was just that the hard waxing experience was less painful and left me not feeling sore and tender afterwards with the same results. read more

It was in 2009 and I came in later on a Thursday after a business event I'd gone to. At that time I lived in Fort Worth. You offered to personally do my brazilian wax because it was my first. You were very nice to start, and in our conversation I told you I was going out of town to go camping the very next day which is why I was getting waxed. You waxed some areas and then after a while said you wanted to stop due to "trauma" (leaving me half waxed). You then started acting very awkward, would not look me in the face, and charged me full price for the waxing despite not providing a full service. You then mumbled something about me coming back the next day, although you already knew I could not. You did not ask me if "everything was alright?" because you already knew it wasn't. Your office also never contacted me after that. To be honest, the entire ordeal was a bit traumatic for me and I tried to block most of it out. I now live in Dallas and drove past your office, on the way to lunch, the other day and was reminded of the poor experience. That's why I am just now leaving a review. read more
