Chef Franco and Nicki came to our vacation rental last night and cooked dinner for 15 of us. They made everything perfect. From menu selection to the day of the party, it was all easy and perfect. Chef Franco showed up on time and brought everything he could possibly need. We picked out a gulf shrimp appetizer, followed by crab cakes. When I tell you these were the best crab cakes I have ever eaten.... I am craving them right now !!! We also had sautéed crab claws, which were plentiful and delicious. At that point, we were all full, but went on to have a Caesar salad, which again was perfection. Throughout this whole eating frenzy, we delighted in watching chef cook every part of the meal. He is not only a phenomenal chef, but so knowledgeable about the area and other parts of Florida. It made for a great dinner conversation. The main course consisted of filet mignon, and a grilled lobster tail. Accompaniments included green beans, and a homemade Mac and cheese. Just watching him make the mac & cheese, the entire room was salivating. Every aspect of the meal was beyond delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection to everyone's personal liking. I really want to leave an HONEST review because I think it would be helpful to people like us who…read morehaven't been to Rosemary Beach (or that area) and don't really know what to expect. We did the taco bar/beach bonfire combination while we were staying in Rosemary and it was a complete let down. The chairs and lights were very cool and picture worthy for sure... but the service and food prep was unimpressive and did not match what we paid for the setup. When we showed up the "wait staff" was a young kid that was not helpful. The food was in tin foil pans sitting out, flies everywhere with not enough paper plates and not enough warm water bottles (the only drink provided.) I went up to him to ask for more paper plates and water and he said "well we outsource the catering and so I don't know what to do... maybe someone got greedy with the paper plates." It was just a pathetic setup that's advertised as concierge and high end. I think the experience is maybe worth $300-$400 and that's being generous. When we got there we tipped the guy in the beginning to insure service and to start off being generous... that was a massive mistake. We reached out for a refund and were essentially told it was not worthy of a refund and that they outsourced catering. Both my husband and I run organizations and I would never dream of blaming poor service on a vendor we chose for our clients... we would take the hit and try to do whatever we could to protect the reputation of our work and companies. I get hiring a guy that turns out to be a dud on the customer service side, I get that you can't completely control quality when you outsource something like catering... but you can control how you respond to the ball being dropped. She offered to host another bonfire but we don't live in Florida and honestly I don't have faith in the redemption. So I am leaving a review because the ball was dropped and the response to the ball being dropped was disappointing... take this into consideration when using this company.
