This place was a whole lot better when it was called American Self Storage. I gave a 30 day notice on December 27, 2023. Asked did I need to give a written notice and was told that I could go ahead and give a verbal. It was fine. I signed paperwork stating I will be terminating my contract with them. I was told I had to vacate by February 1st and did not have to sweep or anything, just leave the door open. I vacated the storage on Jan 25, 2024. Midgrade has charged me $165 for February and some other bogus BS charges. I left this storage unit in a clean condition and swept out. Bad enough the storage unit has a serious leak problem and leaked onto my couch, as well as other stored items. So of those items belonged to my late father. I am a disabled veteran on a fix income and cannot work due to serious health problems. So sorry I don't have extra money to just allow $165 to be taken from my bank account, like it's chump change. I never in a million years would have thought I would have issues with a storage facility that I been doing business with for 20 years. Then again this place is no longer own by American Self Storage original owners. Midgrade has taken over and at this point appears to be getting over on people, especially disabled veterans. I will not be doing business with this place ever again and will not recommend this place, like I had been doing for so many years in the past.

Wrapping furniture in plastic wrap versus moving blankets. Sliding the furniture down 2nd floor stairs vs carrying it. Dragging aluminum outdoor furniture across concrete. Marring walls and doors in our new home. I could go on and on and on! All I can say is RUN don't walk away from using this moving company. Read all the other 1 star reviews and take heed! Yes, they gave me a credit because they didn't want to deal with an insurance claim. If you do use them PAY for the extra insurance. Not that I'm convinced it would pay out for the damages.
