I previously sent out a review on the company's failure to follow up on a problem with the laminated wood floor. Since then, the company sent a man out to deal with the floor. He didn't remove and replace the flooring boards in question (gaps) , as i had hoped, but he did glue some floor boards together at the butt ends and removed the gaps. Time will tell if that is/was a solution or it proves to be a band-aid. read more

The owner came out to our house and gave us his recommendations and estimate on 1200 sq. ft. of engineered wood flooring. We were very impressed with Alan and the products Wright Flooring carries. Alan suggested that with our floor plan, to install the flooring at a 45 degree angle. With that amazing suggestion and their competitive price, we were sold! Our Wright Flooring installers, Ray and Luis, were very professional and knew their job well. Their attention to detail and "doing it the right way" was greatly appreciated. We were recommended by our neighbors for hardwood flooring to Wright Flooring and after meeting Alan who came out & did a walk through of our condo, explained in detail the product & brought physical samples of several colors, we didn't need any other estimates. We scheduled the work & Alan explained that his installers would move the larger furniture & anything we couldn't lift which was a big help. The installers were Hayden & Hector & they were on time, very professional, very personable and kept everything clean while they worked. The flooring looks different than I remember. Liked it better in the store, but that is my fault. The owner is quite the salesman. We didn't even get past the front door and was sold his favorite brand? He took us out in the warehouse and assured us he had plenty product to complete our job. Didn't hear anything prior to the installation date, so my husband went to the store to assure that the owner had the correct baseboard per the picture I sent him. Good thing my husband went because the baseboard was not correct. He also told us that he did not have enough flooring to complete the job. After my husband told me what was happening, I called Alan and asked him where the additional flooring was. Long story short, he was not very nice that I questioned him. He got nasty. When the day came, there was enough material to finish the job...1 piece of flooring left. Other than that, the installers were great. I just read the other customers' complaints who have had trouble with Alan and his company. Their experiences and ours are almost identical. My floor was not dented and chipped. It had a bubble in the kitchen and a chip by the leg of the dining room table. Which I believe was caused by a defect in that piece of flooring. These floors are well cared for. I was also told by Alan that they were top of the line and perfect for us since I had grandchildren and a pool. I don't have dogs, but my daughters do. He assured me that the floors could with stand that. He originally put in the floors in the living room, dining room, family room and master bedroom. This was very costly. He was also going to do the kitchen and back hallway after the cabinets were installed. When I called to make arrangements for the installation, suddenly the price had gone up considerably. I decided to get other bids; he was rude then too. That should have been a red flag. He actually called me back to see if i was going to have him do the installation. I told him I was using Blind and Shutter Gallery. You can imagine the response I got. Just to be very clear about this, Dave at Blind and Shutter got in touch with the manufacturer as did I. The manufacturer sent him replacement flooring and paid him to replace the piece with the bubble and those around it. He was very professional. I saw those glowing reviews, but i wonder how long their floors have been in. It will be interesting to see how he handles any issue they may have now that the money's paid. That 20 year warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. What a joke, he had the DM from the manufacturer come out to determine if it was their fault. Although they claimed it wasn't, as I said before they did replace the defective piece. Alan does a lot of business with this company, so I'm sure if he wanted me to be a satisfied customer, he could have gotten the same result. read more

Will never use again or recommend. They do not stand behind their workmanship. We used them based on a recommendation from a friend and were gone when flooring was installed. Not going into details except to say they don't back up their product OR workmanship, are very over priced, and have caused us more money because we flew down to have floor fixed and they did not show up. The product we chose is beautiful! We love the look of our condo. Alan suggested we do our bedrooms and we're glad he did. It looks gorgeous. I am unhappy with the workmanship. Two corner cabinets in my kitchen were damaged during the installation along with a cracked tile in an adjoining room. There are a few panels that move under foot, I'm not sure if this is normal. I called Alan upon our return this fall. He said he would get back to me and has not. I am disappointed in the follow up. I would warn people to make sure they are on site during installation. read more

I had been wanting to replace my carpeting and could not decide between tile, carpet (again), wood or laminate. Narrowed it down to wood vs laminate. After speaking with and visiting Wright Flooring Alan gave me the education I needed. I knew the look I wanted, I had a budget in mind & with that showed me & recommended laminate and showed me various price ranges, colors, lengths. I live on a first floor condo in a flood zone & have an older cat. Laminate was the right choice, stain resistant, easy maintenance. From the initial showroom visit, to taking home a few samples, to measuring/estimating, to scheduling, to the guys arriving on schedule & finishing on schedule), cannot believe how smooth everything went. They were professional, courteous, respectful of my furniture and tidy. I didn't even have to be there. I was, when they were almost finished, to ask them to tweak placement of a few heavy pieces of furniture, boom, done. I know this was a small project to them, but I felt I was treated as equally as if it were a huge commercial or personal project. read more

Product is great, Floors look great. I was told by a worker that the flexible vinyl baseboard around our kitchen Island (which is curved) did not come in white and I would have to paint it. I was previously told by Alan Wright before the job was done that it would match and it is stated in our contract that it would "match". It is tan. The rest of the house is white. It CAN be purchased online in white. They also neglected to remove the sharpie marks from the floors and door frames in half the house. My husband contacted the owner and he said we can buy a can of acetone, my husband said this was unacceptable and that he should send someone out and Alan stated he would, about the baseboard Alan responded the tan is what he had and it could be painted. 3 weeks later and haven't heard anything. I went to the showroom, upon entering Alan was heard cursing at someone on the phone. Then yelled to his assistant "Who's there?" She stated my name. He yelled "I don't know who that is!" He came out and said "what's the problem?" I said I would come back at a better time. He insisted I tell him the problem. I did. He again stated I could just buy acetone. I addressed the baseboard, He cursed and yelled and dropped F words. I cried. He stated "oh, you're going to cry now? Get out of my F store." He did not offer to fix the issues after the phone calls and in person visit. We paid $13,000. I did not provoke this behavior! He could have handled this better and I would have come back. He has an anger issue. read more

I purchased a house that had laminate flooring installed by Wright Flooring 9 years prior. The rest of the flooring in the house is fine, but the front entranceway (approx. 40 sf) squeeked loudly and the floor was soft underfoot and visibly buckled. You could stand on it and bounce up and down in places. I called Wright to see if it could be repaired, and Mary came out. She called Tom and held the phone while she walked on it and he could hear the squeeks over the phone. She returned a few days later with Tom, who said he was Director of Operations. He pulled up the quarter-round and sills, removed a few boards, and showed us how the subfloor was choppy and uneven. Wright Flooring installers had removed the previous tile in the entrance, but never ground it down or smoothed it with a layer of Quick Set. Laminate can be laid over almost any other subfloor, but the surface must be smooth. Over time, the lumpy subfloor had caused the problems in this area, which the previous owner just lived with. Tom told me (in the presence of Mary and my tenant) that the change of ownership voided the warranty, but because of the small area and improper installation, they would make it right. He was going to call a few places to try to find extra pieces of the boards since it was discontinued, and get back to me. I was surprised and impressed. Weeks passed and I never heard back from Tom, and several calls and messages to him weren't returned. I even spoke with Mary who promised that Tom would get right back to me. Finally on my 5th call, the owner Alan answered the phone. I tried to explain the situation but he stopped me when he realized I was not the original owner. Wright Flooring's owner told me in no uncertain terms that they would not be making any repairs. He likened it to buying a car and trying to bring it back 9 years later. I tried to explain that it was a small area, improperly installed, and how Tom had left the sills and quarter-rounds off, since he was "coming back" to fix the problem. But Alan said "you're not listening to me," the floor is out of warranty and there's nothing they would do. Add rudeness to not returning phone calls. And, apparently the Director of Operations isn't authorized to make commitments on behalf of the company. I hired a handyman who pulled up the boards in the entranceway and smoothed the subfloor with Quick Set. After it dried, he re-laid the same original boards, sills, and quarter-rounds. Problem solved. It took 4 hours, cost me $325, and for such a small price it cost Wright Flooring a bad review and the loss of a future customer for all of my Cape Coral properties. read more

I wish I had read these reviews. I hired this company several years ago to do 3 rooms and a hallway. I called them back to fix a corner area that needed something to make it look right. I called and they came and never fixed it and I never could get them back. As the time has gone by I decided to put a Murphy bed in one of the bedrooms that had previously had two twin beds. So now I see that this flooring under the beds is full of hammer marks so I am now looking at lots of dents. No need to call about this since they never came to fix a problem before. I do not recommend them and they had me buy extra flooring in case a repair was needed so I have a box and a half and they should have kept the full box and refunded that money. read more

Beware!! I had flooring installed in my house. Even though it is made in the USA, it is cheap and I already have problems. The flooring will have to be replaced!! And the installer damaged both walls and cabinets which is my problem because the contract excludes damages from installation. I wish I had read the reviews before I when ahead with this company. The floor looks good but be care full on the quote. Allen made it sound like the base board would be no charge, but in the end he said only the labor is no charge. My wife was there and thought the same as me. So be carefull with the way he quotes the job. As others have written here as well, the owner, Alan Wright is one of the rudest, most belligerent and unprofessional individuals I've ever encountered in the home improvement industry. Wright Flooring was brought into a water remediation project via the contractor (Baker Construction Grp-Fort Myers) I hired for the job in early Aug 2017. Initially, Tom was my sole contact with Wright Flooring. Tom was both courteous and professional, albeit, it took a long time to get floor samples that matched the existing floors they were replacing. I honestly think they are spread too thin at Wright; but that's a different story. When they finally got the samples, Hurricane Irma hit SWFL, thereby pushing back my project again, because the floors were "lost" by the transport company. I accepted that "stuff happens" and patiently waited for a new shipment to arrive, which took yet another 3 weeks. Once the floors were received in late Sept, Tom set up an appt to install them the following Tuesday, Oct 3. I called Wright Flooring Oct 2 to confirm they were coming out the next day and that's when I encountered Mr. Wright. I honestly thought Tom was the owner and had the temerity to ask to speak to "Tom Wright". Well, that didn't sit well with Mr. Store Owner Alan Wright. I could actually sense his bruised ego over the phone. The call went downhill from there. He questioned who I was since he never heard of me, I explained I had only dealt with Tom, then he said he didn't have a contract for me, until I asked him to look again through his files and he found it, then he said I wasn't on the schedule for next day or any day for that matter. I asked him to call Tom so we could iron out the discrepancies. I thought he would put me on hold and call Tom from a second line as a typical professional would do, but heck no, he called Tom on his cell and put it on speaker, where I could hear him berate Tom, after Tom told him he did in fact tell me he could fit me in. He berated Tom for a bit and then Mr. Big Shot turned his wrath on me. He was belligerent and rude, he swore at me. It was a profoundly surreal experience and needless to say, I was floored (pun intended). I have no idea why this man is so angry, or why he believes that you can speak to a customer like they're dogs, but as you can see by several other reviews, it is a pattern not an anomaly. Needless to say, I told my contractor, Baker Construction Group, that I would not allow Wright Flooring to step foot in my house and also recommended they never use them again. If you're a masochist that needs your floors redone, this is the right company for you. However, if you value professionalism, run away quickly from Wright Flooring. read more

I wish that I had never hired them. I contacted them in early November regarding my flooring buckling. Tom came out inspected that there was no dog uri8ne and stated that the floor could have waster damage even though there is no water in my entryway or dining room. He told me that the floor would be replaced at no charge and the most I would pay would be $150 for the labor he scheduled me for November 11th. I had to call them and was informed by Mary that Tom had hurt his hand and would call me later. Again I called the office and got Tom who told me that he would by out on Monday. Well I took time off for this repair, again I had to contact the office and Tom said his injury was worse then he thought he rescheduled me for November 26th, I informed him that it was Thanksgiving weekend but he assured me someone would be there. Well, you guessed it no one showed or called. My son then called Alan and was told that they have to reschedule as Alan broke his leg. I was rescheduled for December 10th, again I had to call the office and was told they were running behind but would keep in touch, again they didn't. My son called the office and we were rescheduled for December 23rd, guess what the truck is now broke down, we will keep in touch. Now we are scheduled for January 14th. Guess what someone finally showed up, however, the terms have now changed. I am to pay for the flooring and installation sound familiar. When I told the installer that was not true and to get Tom on the phone he did and Tom said that is not what he told me. I told him how does he know what kind of damage is there until the floor is removed. He instructed the installer to pull up the floor. The installer refused and informed me that he was not doing it and he had better things to do like with his kid than to do this with me. I said get to Tom on the phone. With that he put the flooring in my garage and left. No one should be treated this way and am fortunate my son can install the flooring. Please do not do any kind of business with these people. read more

Liars ! Sold us crap flooring to unload an over purchase another customer couldn't use. Being pet owners we were "assured" this was the highest quality. Puppy had an accident and the floor was wet less than 5 minutes before being discovered. The floor is already ruined and was down less than 24 hours. They won't repair it because that is not covered on the 20 year warranty. The floor is the cheap kind and used for numbers of apartments at a time. We've been had. Took advantage of an old lady. The owner was also very rude and arrogant on the phone with me. Never use them and I will NEVER recommend them. read more
