We really like Wright's. They are the only restaurant in the area that uses real tenderized steak in their country fried steak. The servers are always great. I can't say anything bad about this place. My husband really loves the potato salad and fried okra. read more

The foods awful, their service is so rude! They treat their employees like dogs! Rude and always on them about things they cant control! They send the employees home if they mess up once and will not give the waitress their tips until the next day or when their open again! Pretty friendly ladies waiting on customers. We ordered catfish and a BBQ pork sandwich. Very quick to bring out drinks. Not issue parking and no line to get in. They do need to fix the booths. Way to much duck tape holding them together. The tables have advertisements of local businesses. Food is very good. Hot and delicious. The baked beans taste like pork and beans out of a can. Decided to try out this place today and it was awesome! The service was great and the food was amazingly good!. We ordered the crawfish trails and jalepeno slices for appetizers and they were both really great! They had a small salad bar but it was perfect and good. I had the bbq sampler and my husband had the cajun ribeye, both were perfect! We will definitely be back when we are in sheridan! read more

I've went 2 maybe 3 times and won't do it again. I never like the food and shockingly neither does my son who would eat just about anything.

I've eaten at Wright's Ranch House several times before the Covid and during the Covid. I have not found yet any excuse to complain. They're serving staff and their cook staff do a great job. Yes .... I'll eat hear often!!!! read more

Food is hit and miss. Used to be soooo good. Now it's ok. Their steaks are not good and the chicken fried steak is rough and gravy stands on its own. Bake potatoes are always over cooked and hard. The grilled catfish was very tasty- $3.00 extra for grilled. The coleslaw was ok but the steamed veggies tasted burnt- they were mushy. Loved the hush puppies. The peach cobbler was more like bread pudding without the peaches. My husband ordered the bbq bead plate. They brought him fried catfish. When the bbq beef plate arrived, the beef was cold and dried out. A friend who was with us had the fried fish. She didn't care for the French fries - the fried fish was good. She had pecan cobbler with Ice cream - she enjoyed that. I don't recommend this restaurant if you are wanting home style cooking with the homemade taste. read more

I've eaten at Wright's quite a few times; most times, the food is okay. Not spectacular, but not horrible, either. It's normally a good, solid place to eat with a decent selection, considering how small Sheridan is and how few sit-down restaurant options are available. I would have given them a higher rating, but last night's meal brought that down significantly; not necessarily because of the food, but because of the reaction to a small complaint I had about the food, specifically the ground sirloin patty meal. It comes plain, and you can add onions and mushrooms, as well as gravy, for extra. (Keep in mind that the base meal is PLAIN, nothing added on it.) I ordered with mushrooms and onions. Hubby ordered it with mushrooms, onions, and gravy. Mine arrived overcooked and too dry to eat. It was completely dry with no juices running, no pink; I've had similar meals before at other restaurants, and never had them be so dry, so when the waitress asked how everything was, I nicely told her it was too dry to eat and appeared overcooked. She suggested gravy. (Note: my husband was fine with his entree that had gravy, but he prefers well-done meat and he doesn't have dietary restrictions that preclude gravy.) I told her I can't have gravy. She said she would talk to her manager. After several minutes, she came back and said that the manager says that meal is supposed to be dry. Errr... what? Perhaps it was poorly worded, but I don't believe they would purposely serve any meal that way. Honestly, while the manager didn't come by the table his/herself, I think this was a poor response. She did offer to have the cook remake the dinner "more medium" and I agreed. It took a long time for the replacement meal to arrive. Meanwhile, my husband finished his entire meal and sat there. When it did arrive, it was *slightly* less cooked, barely trending toward pink in the middle, but not quite. Still dry. At this point, I wasn't about to bicker about it; I ate a small bit, asked for a to-go box, and was charged for the full meal with no further contact from the restaurant. I'll probably be back, but I won't be ordering any kind of beef if they are going to overcook it -- this isn't hamburger, after all, and the waitress never asked how I wanted it cooked. They do sell steaks, but I won't be having one. In fairness, I think the waitress was new by the way she handled things, but that's not an excuse for the kitchen or for the manager on duty. If I had known I would have gotten the same thing again, I would have asked to order something different -- and frankly, nothing coming out of the kitchen should be coming out so dry that it seems reheated. read more

Came in to eat while passing through town. I had the boneless wings and my husband had the ribeye steak. The wings were hand-breaded but had sauce straight from a store-bought bottle. My husband reported the steak wasn't seasoned at all. We were not very impressed with the meal. The atmosphere and service were very acceptable, which we appreciate! read more

Good lunch place for business and work days. Sheridan doesn't have many options for sit-down places; with wright's being new, you'll see this place packed for at least the first 6 months. i ordered fish and french fries and cole slaw. my food was disgusting first of all fish was not done . i had maybe eight fries and they were dark as though the young man tried to reheat the fries and the fish was so thick and nasty looking. i spent 13 dollars on a plate that look as though the person who prepared it from the kitchen didn't even care. they must have more money than they need. i want ever go back to this place. may want you to check on ur employees. nasty. sorry. but true. read more

I have liked this food up until tonight, I got a BBQ pork sandwich and it had layers of layers ( YES LAYERS) of fat and the bun was brick hard!!!! The $5.99 onion rings were 6 rings AND like the batter was maybe sprinkled on them, in a pile of grease!!! Couldn't eat any of my food!!!! IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! read more

Had a hawg burger tonite that was nothing but gross! The first time the patty was burnt up so sent it back. The second burger was not cooked much better except this time the meat turned the bun black & dripped black grease onto the plate. The owner explained to us it was because it was cooked on a grill not a flat top & we apparently didn't know what we were talking about. Should've just went to Tommy's grill in East End. read more
