Wife and I had lunch there yesterday. Good, friendly staff. I had the chicken and catfish with hush puppies and Cajun rice. Wife had the Cajun shrimp, catfish, Cajun rice and hush puppies. Food was good. In particular, I thought the chicken was and cooked to perfection. Catfish is supposed to be farm raised but I'm not sure about that. Wife and I wanted Dr Pepper drinks but the soda machine was empty. We shifted to sweet tea but there was none - just unsweetened tea. Two months ago I hated catfish... or so I thought. But they also had shrimp and chicken and I was starving so I popped in for a late lunch and as you can see by my other review, I was incredibly beyond pleasantly surprised at how delicious their catfish is. I forgot to mention I drive all the way from Diamondhead, which is a 62 mile round-trip, but it's worth it! Today I ordered the trio for lunch, but I got tomato relish which absolutely knocked my socks off! I'm trying to figure out what they've done to these, they're green tomatoes that are still firm, feels like they still have the skins on them, but they've been pickled and we taste like a cross between jalapeño, pickling juice and sweet pickle relish. They're amazing! Of course, there's way too much food and if you come in and give them a review this weekend, you can get a free fried pie and 10% off your next purchase. This review is for their crawfish. From Louisiana and was looking for some crawfish in the area. The crawfish were ok. First when crawfish are boiled they should be boiled with the seasoning. Here the seasoning was placed on top of the crawfish after boiling, this resulted in a extremely salty crawfish. The size was average medium with some small. This was some of the best food i've ever had. I had the sample platter and every single thing on my plate was amazing. Put a little bit of that cajun seasoning on top and it makes it even better. Whenever we head to The Rock, eating here is a must. Although this time, a catering order caused a delay in service, the wait was absolutely worth it. The catfish was fresh and crunchy, the coleslaw was delicious, and the mac and cheese was perfect--not too runny, not too dry. This wasn't our original destination but after arriving at the intended place we discovered it was out of business. Eat My Catfish was our second choice and I initially had reservations but I will be a return customer. I ordered the Chicken/Catfish/Shrimp combo and everything was cooked perfectly. The hush puppies were some of the best that I have ever had. They were light and fresh. The fish was perfect and shrimp were great. Lori is so nice she is always smiling when we come in she is always sweet and nice and kind we didn't. Know that kids eat for free on Sunday in till she said they do. Eat My Catfish food is so good even the chicken is good. My family that lives out of state came in and has never ate there and Lori was very helpful because my family likes the everything but they couldn't pick in till Lori said we have a family back that has chicken and fish and we get 3 sides and we can add shrimp to it my family was sold on it.
