Wasn't as Good as the price reflected- party of 8 and 6 of the 8 was happy with their meal. Overall food was high priced and not as good as price shoes. Server was dry and straight to the point acting as if he wanted to speed through dinner. Had to ask for water and new silver wear. read more

We were visiting from Southern California and decided to try 501 Prime. We enjoyed it so much that we had dinner 2 of the 3 nights we were in town. Must have: the Boursin filet. They managed to make this filet so juicy that we wonders if it had been broiled instead of grilled. Either way, it was great. Also had truffle fries and the grilled oysters. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and just a tad soft on the inside. The way you want them. And the oysters were incredibly flavorful. We splurged with the caviar service the second night. Excellent decision. I hope those who live in the Hot Springs area appreciate what a great restaurant they have. For a town of 37k people, this is a true 5 star restaurant. Also, the wait staff were attentive and friendly. What more can you ask for? read more

501 Prime Came here for dinner while visiting and had a solid meal overall. Cool interior, good vibe, and decent service. Not the best I've had, but they took care of us well enough. Started with the spicy tuna tartar "nachos" (17): wonton chips, shoyu mayo, cucumber, yuzu tobiko These stole the show. Super fresh tuna, crispy wontons, creamy shoyu mayo, and that pop from the tobiko. Probably my favorite bite of the night. For mains we got: golden tilefish oscar (63): colossal lump crab, grilled broccolini, beamaise The tilefish was really good. Tender, flaky, with rich béarnaise and sweet crab on top. Great combination. pan roasted monkfish "thermidor" (47): jasmine rice, roasted mushrooms, cognac cream, toasted breadcrumb The monkfish was decent. Good texture, nice sauce, but nothing that really blew me away. Sides: truffle fries (10): garlic aioli creamy polenta (7): roasted corn & tartufata wood fired vegetables (9): green garlic pesto & marinated cherry tomato The truffle fries were crispy with a nice aioli, the polenta was rich and creamy with a deep earthy flavor from the tartufata, and the vegetables were fresh with a good smoky char and bright pesto. Ended with the classic creme brulee (10): local summer fruit & caramelized honey Nice crack on top, creamy underneath. Not the most memorable creme brulee I've had, but still a good way to finish. First list start out was saying the service was phenomenal.. each dish has a special unique twist of its own that is beautifully flavored. Everything cooked too perfection. Place is small intimate with a hint fun flare.. there was a shuffleboard close to the bar area. Our experience at 501 Prime was amazing! The food was delicious, our waitress was wonderful, and they have an excellent bourbon selection. We had the smoked duck egg rolls & Cesar salad for our appetizers. That may be the best salad I have ever had! The black garlic smeared on the plate is delicious. Guys loved the egg rolls too. I enjoyed the truffle chicken & they had the special which was the Grouper. All meals were excellent. This was an amazing dinner! We started off with Oysters and Bacon Jam Deviled Eggs both of which were amazing. I had the Arkansas Cactus to drink and cannot recommend it enough! We sat at the Oyster bar where we had the pleasure of watching the preparation. For our main entrees we had the 20 oz Ribeye (wonderfully prepared, perfect doneness, nice buttered crust) and the Hake fish (also amazing my husband raved about it for the rest of the evening). I've only been here once, had a great experience. I went to Hot Springs on a whim and this place had an awesome menu from a quick search. I got the dry aged tuna belly and I was not let down. I hate mushrooms, but they managed to get me to clear my plate. They know what they're doing in the kitchen for sure. The vibes inside are great, upper scale feeling that match the menu and prices. It's a little surprising from the parking lot to the restaurant, don't be fooled; it's pretty stellar. I would go again hands down. read more

Our waiter was great but ordered a filet mignon and it came out well done after requesting it to be cooked medium. The waiter agreed that it was over cooked and had them cook another one. The second steak came out more medium rare but much better. I definitely felt like the steak was high-quality, but felt that the steak was not cooked very good. Definitely not worth the money. Easily secured a reservation and sat on the patio. Great atmosphere and service. It was our first time eating there and the staff gave great recommendations. We had two appetizers (smoked oysters on sourdough points and kingfish nachos) both were good, but the nachos were the better of the two. Entree was the seared North Carolina bluefin - it was so good! Cocktails before dinner were old fashioned and a crown jewel - both tasty. We finished the meal with a bourbon pecan pie cocktail (shared) and it hit the spot! Lastly, want to commend the staff - my husband accidentally left an heirloom money clip (full of cash) in his seat after waiting for change. Thankfully- Since we had a reservation, they called us after leaving the restaurant to let us know we had left an item at the table. They retuned the money clip in tact with his cash. Went for an anniversary dinner while in town. Made reservations in advance and website was unclear on seating. We were seated at the bar which was a bit loud still completely okay but our server/bartender was not great. Espresso martinis are pre-mixed and not the best. Ordered a different drink which was made excessively strong multiple times and when our duck egg rolls arrived they were pretty bland aside from the chili sauce. Drinks were left empty on multiple occasions with no check in from the server. Ordered filets medium and when they arrived one was obviously medium well. Informed the server eventually when he returned who took it to the kitchen then came back with the same steak & began arguing with us that the steak was medium. We have had hundreds of steaks in Texas, Florida, etc. and know how a steak should be cooked. A new steak was made and it turned out okay but the service we received was unacceptable. The bar manager I'm assuming was profusely apologizing for the other servers performance. We highly appreciate him & If he had been our server I have no doubt we would have had a much better experience. Food all in all was good but absolutely not worth the price tag when the service is that bad. For fine dining prices I believe you should receive fine dining service and that was not the case in our experience. Would recommend going to somewhere as simple as Texas roadhouse and spending a quarter of the price and probably getting 3x better service. read more

We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant when we stopped in Hot Springs for the night. When we walked in the hostess was so friendly and welcoming! It was a Saturday night and full but she found us two seats at the oyster bar. Jay was our server and he was the best!! We basically followed Jay's lead by starting with a dozen oysters and a bottle of wine that he recommended. For entrees my husband had the Diver Scallops and I had the Hake. While the scallops were outstanding, the Hake was out of this world!! For dessert we had the crème brûlée which was delicious!! Even though we sat at the oyster bar, we were very comfortable and well taken care of. For a busy Saturday night I didn't feel like the place was loud whatsoever and totally enjoyed the entire experience! Top notch service and food. I had the truffle chicken, which came with mashed potatoes and carrots and was by far one of the best chicken dishes that I have ever had. My husband got the rib eye with broccolini. The waiter went out of his way to ensure that the hubs had some horseradish creme with steak. We shared an appetizer and dessert--shrimp cocktail and creme Brulee. It was all perfectly prepared and served. We were upstairs in the bourbon bar, there were a few noisy kids and a "rowdier" atmosphere, but it was fun, not a problem at all. Next time, I'll choose to stay on the main floor where it was a much more sophisticated atmosphere. We walked out of there very satisfied and FULL. We will definitely be back. read more

I got a rare steak, it was perfectly cooked and had a hint of smoke with a crisp sear, the bread was sweet with a hint of salt that was to die for. The smashed potatoes were everything. They were perfectly whipped. The Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts were good but not as outstanding as the other items. The ambiance is dark and intimate making a perfect date night. read more

The restaurant is upscale and if you like very secluded, private eating areas, this is the place for you. For me, I felt almost claustrophobic in our booth. As you can see from the pictures, the booths have high backs, and we were facing a long wine wall. Fortunately, our server came to check on us regularly because it would have been very hard to flag someone down. Sadly, there is no bread service, but the deviled caviar eggs were amazing. For my entree, I had the sablefish, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread pudding was great and the chocolate sorbet very nice as well. Their old fashions had a lot of orange pulp, so I switched to a Manhattan. Cocktails were just OK. It was a nice dinner but nothing special and nothing horribly wrong. We ate upstairs , technically at The Bourbon Bar. Everything was delicious. I had the Sidecar drink, husband had the old fashioned. The Sidecar is a tart drink, the Old Fashioned on the sweet side. Husband also had a drink of one of The Blantons, a bourbon he'd like to start collecting. We shared 1/2 dozen oysters. Very good. Then had the Roasted Heirloom Squash Soup. It was a very lovely, creamy fall soup. Definitely one of the Top five soups I've ever had. I then had the Pan Roasted Halibut. It was a firm fish with a beef/mushroom like broth around it. Tasty. Husband had the Seared Australian kingfish (a favorite of one of the bartenders that took care of us). He loved it. Would loved to have tried dessert but was stuffed at that point. The food choices in the gold boxes are dependent on what comes in from their overnight delivery of seafood. That means they can change. Everything else can remain the same. Overnight shipment is the only way you can get fresh fish like you're eating near the coast. It's worth it!! read more
