They gave us a time frame and called before coming. They also pre-provided the plumbers name who would be servicing our home and just some info about him like what his hobbies were. Great personal touch and we felt like we already knew him. There is a level of comfort there. The plumber quickly diagnosed what he needed to do when we told him what happened. He came in and quickly resolved our problem. A very nice polite young man who enjoyed his craft and is very knowledgeable. Lastly their price is VERY FAIR. Not expensive and that is also a plus. While we hope never to call them again, if we needed to we will call Universal Plumbing. Give them a try!

I also realized a glue joint on an elbow had come loose and the pipe had been cut off at an angle and not properly seated during the installation process. It was definitely not installed per local pipe codes and I don't believe the the young men doing the installation are licensed certified plumbers. When I contacted them about the problem they said I was "lucky" my warranty was almost expired!!! What company would not correct a problem THEY CAUSED REGARDLESS OF WARRANTY! NEVER AGAIN!

Told…read moreit finally became available and that the technician Jimmy B, would be available Wednesday between 2-3 pm which was fine. Got a call from Jimmy Wednesday morning asking if he could come over earlier. No problem! Come on over! Jimmy arrives at 12:20, and removes the temporary lock, and after some adjustment procedure on the new lock, it was installed. Door now locks perfectly, and is back in the original looking condition. The original estimated labor charge was now paid. The process of fixing the Pella French door took longer than expected, only because of getting the needed replacement parts. I don't hold that against Handyman as it was beyond their control. The work done by Jimmy B was first class and yes I would recommend Handyman to those who require that type of service.

I really expected there to be a long wait for an appointment but he was scheduled within days and was able to quote and complete the job same day. I needed a 20 amp dedicated circuit for a home based 15 needle embroidery machine and really didn't want to pay an electrical so got some "advice" and concluded we could put a 20 amp circuit in place of the 15 amp. Three months in, I noticed that my lights were flickering in the home office whenever I fired up the machine or plugged an iron in. I did a quick internet search for possible reasons and quickly determined that I likely had a fire risk so I went to my trusted Yelp to find an electrician. Sure enough my hunch was right. We had Help!! put in a true dedicated 20 amp. No more flickering. While we had him we decided that lightening strikes near the house were too close for comfort and we have way too many electronics and energy electric car plugged in so we had him install a whole house surge protector. Very reasonable. Will definitely use again and highly recommend!
