5 Stars for an independent local bookstore that delivers on great selections, staff recs, banned…read morebooks, and miscellaneous goodies. I was excited to stumble upon Writer's Block, a bookstore I've heard about for years, while visiting the Winter Garden Farmer's Market. The windows beckoned me in and I immediately saw a bestseller that had been recommended to me recently, so I was stoked to spend my money locally. I also perused their stickers, pens, and other fun local goodies while wandering. There's a robust kids section in the back, so be sure to keep walking! I appreciated the many hand-written staff recommendations and teasers for books on the shelf, and also the entire section on banned books that described the reason for the banning. Love a store taking a stance for banned books! Overall, I plan to continue supporting independent bookstores instead of the massive, bloated, unethical, late-stage capitalist hellscape that is Amazon. Hope others are tempted to walk in and enjoy the rare little bookshop the way I was when walking around downtown Winter Garden!

The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and can guide you to what you're looking for, and things are super well priced. I've been to other similar shops that kind of needlessly mark things up, but I really trust the prices here.

I LOVED IT. I've been meaning to read more into my tarot books, but it always ends up getting forgotten about and whenever I do a tarot reading for a friend, I have to lookup the meaning in my book rather than knowing immediately what the cards mean. Deanna was so knowledgeable on each card and made the experience immersive and collaborative. She passed the card around the circle to have each person say what they notice about the card or feelings the card induces. This class was very valuable and I took many notes that I will look back on for my tarot journey. I plan on attending more of her classes and learning more about tarot cards! 10/10 store and 10/10 experience.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. While we wish they sold more masks and costume accessories, we were pleasantly surprised by how many cool items they did have. The store is very clean and well-organized. Highlights included the giant Gremlins and Pokémon vending machine, though sadly it was out of order, it was still fun to see! We also noticed a neat speakeasy out back that we definitely want to check out next time. Overall, this is a great spot for any nerd, collector, or cosplayer. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to come back!

Nice shop and Great customer service…read more While I mainly look for vintage figures the shop seemed to have a nice mix of modern and vintage depending on what you're looking for. They also had a nice selection of comics. My main collecting focus right now is old Mattel Secret Wars figures, while I didn't see any of those the Horror Figure section caught my eye. We ended up leaving with a set of Halloween 3 Toony Terrors and 2 of the 2012 Figures Toy Company reproduction Mego Mad Monster figures. All in all a solid shop we'll stop at whenever we're in town.

They also had a good amount of things for around the house like tapestries and wall decor. They are more commercialized than other metaphysical stores since they are in the mall. But they do have a fair selection for anybody from newbies to the more spiritual. They also had a decent selection of clothing! The service here is always pretty nice, the girls running the store are pretty nice and have good conversation about spirituality. The items in the store aren't really that expensive either ! You are in the mall, so expect to pay more prices though!
