Since we live in the neighborhood, we're all excited to see this building that's been vacant for YEARS, turn into a business. Would I have liked it to be an InNOut Burger? Yes. Are we good with it becoming a WSS? Sure. WSS is an acronym for Warehouse Shoe Sale (yes I was curious!), an athletic shoe/clothing store started in 1977 in L.A. First off, when I walked in the door, in running shoes & workout gear, no less, I was not greeted. As I walked throughout the store checking out the merch, I was never acknowledged. A simple "Hey! Welcome to our store. Are you looking for anything specific?" would have sufficed. I mean, really? How hard is that? I think there were three employees working the floor. So yeah, a big fat F for customer service. As far as their inventory? It's pretty epic - they carry many brands, styles, sizes, colors, etc. Their shoe selection is immense and available for men, women, children and even toddlers. I was pleasantly surprised to see they carried Doc Martens. But again, it's a retail store, so how about train people to be friendly and approach customers? I've also worked retail and it's amazing how much more you can sell people when you are genuinely interested in helping them. When you spend the time with them, they often buy more than they planned on buying because maybe you were able to answer questions they had or suggest a gift for a family member. Now that I've read other's reviews, I see that customer service is not their thing... I'll probably go back just to see if this changes b/c maybe they read these reviews! read more

We have been here on numerous occasions throughout the years and have never had an encounter with such a rude cashier like Briceida, 25159. Her attitude is enough to make me say I would never shop here again. It truthfully seemed like she isn't happy to work here and takes her frustration out on the customers. She made the comment to me "Can't you see there's only two of us up here on the cash register" during one trip. On the other she was eating up front at the cash register and being rude to other customers in front of who also mentioned her rude attitude outside of the store. Is decent customer service no longer in the training courses? After reading through multiple reviews it would seem like many of this store's employees would benefit from a customer service refresher course. read more

Recently went there for a return and left by being threatened. I had to call corporate on the girls working in the front since they kept making remarks making me uncomfortable and nervous when i simply went in for a return. Rosario the girl who was working the register refused to state her name and refused to allow me to speak to a manager before she threatened to call security on me. Only reason i have her name is because it was on the receipt. I left scared and confused and I did further escalate to corporate crying over the phone along with all the information I had. I went in for a return today 2/12/25 since my husband and i purchased shoes for our son last week, the employee working last week was super sweet and we ended up buying the shoes after trying them on in store thinking we were safe. We returned them after realizing they were too big with different socks but never worn out or used in any way. And thats what i told Rosario after she made a snarky comment about how they were worn, i even asked to watch store footage of the day we were there because it proved we tried them in store but she refused after giving me such a hard time to let me speak to a manager she ignored my asking. She then made tap my phone on the apple pay for my return and when it didn't beep and automatically printed my receipt the lighter skin/light blonde haired girl behind her giggled underneath their breath almost to make me feel stupid. When she handed me my receipt she said "I hope you have a better day" and that's when I asked for her name so i can speak to a manager again because I know a passive aggressive tone. She said "i dont have to give you my name, i will call security " and then the lighter blonde haired girl raised her hand to point at the door after i started taping for my own protection and yelled at me to "GET OUT!" I had never been more scared or hurt in my life and i still was refused to speak to a manager. I do work retail so i understand the frustration of not having a good day and still trying to serve customers but this girl could've just kept her mouth closed rather than threaten a customer. read more

I will never buy anything again at any WSS. I ordered merchandise online and I was waiting for an email saying it was shipped. I searched my order on line to find my tracking number then only to find out it was lost. I paid for this merchandise and was informed that I would it take anywhere from 7-14 business days for a their investigation with FedEx. I was clearly angry and asked why would I have to wait for my merchandise when WSS or FedEx messed up? It's Christmas time and what I ordered is a gift. In my whole life I've never heard of if something gets lost the buyer has to wait. They resend the item and the merchant deals with it. This is why I will NEVER deal with your stores online or at a physical location. You treat your clientele like we are the thieves. I will inform all my family and friends to be very weary about ordering anything from your stores . Your store policy needs to change for your clientele. read more

I've been to this store at least 10 times, spent a good amount of money here. I was Christmas shopping and only had one item in my hand. The cashier that was claiming she was the manager singled me out (Im a black man). The $30.00 hoodie out of my hands saying she needs to hold it at the register and I can have it after I paid. I wasn't near the door or doing anything suspicious. I hadn't been in the store for more than 5-10 minutes. The store had at least 10 other people in there with handfuls of items and she said nothing to them. After I purchased everything I asked why she did what she did, she talked over me, had no customer service skills, then banned me from the store. This place has a good variety of footwear, accessories, clothing & more for the whole family. Thier prices are very affordable with a good selection to choose from. Customer service was non-existent when we were here. We don't live in PHX but whenever we are in town we stop in to check out the new products. I went and spent $650 with my son, we bought 2 pair matching red and white Nike Air max, matching red Nike hoodie, matching white Nike shirts, arriving home i checked the shoes, they didn't feel like Nike's. , there was glue showing up on the side of the shoe, that day I wore the white Nike shirt and the hoodie on top of it, couple hours later when I took the hoodie off, my white shirt was painted red. The next day I went to return them but I was missing the receipt but luckily (I thought) the girl that charged me the day prior, the same girl was working that day as well. When I asked to return the stuff she asked me for the receipt, I told her I don't have the receipt but instead I asked her did she remembered that I was here yesterday, she admit it that she remembers but she cannot return my money, but she can give me a gift card and I can shop for other things which at that moment wasn't the correct answer that I wana hear, so I left with my fake nike's read more

!!!!!FATPHOBIC AND ABLEIST!!!!I came in earlier this week to buy some shoes and I recently injured my arm and I have a brace on it well a worker Claudia came to ask if I needed any help but in a rude way & I said "no I'm fine thanks" after I paid and was about to leave the store I overheard Claudia tell another worker "why shop if you are disabled fatty" I turned to look at her and saw she was mocking me by bending her arm as if it was her with an injured arm & started to laugh at me she then proceeded to flip me off.
