I visited this location to find some shoes for Work. Alex, the salesperson was very helpful. Alex brought me 5 different boxes of shoes to try on. All suggestions where amazing. I purchased the Skechers' Hands Free Slip-ins. This was my first pair ever. The Slip-ins, are very comfortable and stylish. They were also on sale, so I bought 2 pair. The only difference with this style of shoe is the insole isn't removable. With the welcoming high level of customer service that salesperson Alex had provided, I would gladly travel to the east side for that again. Thanks Famous Footwear!! read more

I want to take a moment to share a very positive experience we had at this Famous Footwear location, especially after a very discouraging one at the Christown Spectrum location on 19th ave and Bethany Home rd. My son, who has autism, has been practicing independence by making purchases on his own. At the other location, he had a very negative experience where the manager, Justin, was dismissive, condescending, and outright refused to help him with a simple shoe return. That experience left him feeling discouraged and unwelcome. Coming here, however, was the complete opposite. Alexis was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive with my son. She treated him with respect and dignity, never once making him feel "less than" because of his disability. She processed the return with no issues and made sure he felt supported through the process. This is what good customer service looks like, it's not only about helping with a transaction, but about valuing every customer as a person. Alexis turned what could have been another frustrating day into a positive and empowering experience for my son. We are so grateful for her compassion and professionalism. I truly hope Famous Footwear recognizes and appreciates employees like Alexis. She represents the kind of values and customer service that every store should strive for. read more

Horrible customer service! Alexis, 'the manager', provided terrible customer service and was very unprofessional in her behavior, verbiage and attitude despite not a single customer in the store. I called this, famous footwear Location to check a few gift card balances because I buy them in bulk and the cashier Sal was by far the best sales rep I've came across even though it was just over the phone. He was very helpful and determined to provide me with what it was I was seeking. If you come into the store, I recommend asking for Sal because he does have care and concern for the customers by a mile. Thank you so so very much. Huge place, with a massive selection of shoes. The prices are very good and a sales even better. Good place to shop for cheap shoes and enjoy the air conditioning when it is 47 C Degrees outside ;-). read more

Not very good customer care. As I entered I asked the sales girl if they would prefer I left my bag from another store up front she said yes and took it from me. I asked for my bag after I paid and one of the items was broken. The clerk even found amusement in my problem and repeated " not my fault " and "the store isn't responsible" . It was just a $6.00 item from the ross next door but a sorry that happened would have been polite. Certainly not the insinuation that I brought it in broken. Thank goodness I didn't have something more important in the bag I left in her care. I did return the shoes after I met my friends for dinner. There are lots of famous footwear stores pick a different one to give your money too. read more

FAMOUS FOOTWEAR - YO NO ENTIENDO THIS FAMOUS FOOTWEAR'S MANAGEMENT ENJOYS PLAYING WITH YOUR MONEY. My husband and I purchased, and ultimately returned, a pair of shoes from this location. We had our receipt, and the shoes had never been worn. Assistant Manager Alondra helped us complete our return. We had made our purchase using a Visa debit card. We specifically requested Famous Footwear to run our card as a debit, not credit, card. Alondra completed the return and said the funds would be put back on our card immediately. We don't do a ton of returns at stores, but every place we've ever paid with our debit card, we were refunded either immediately electronically or in cash. However, the funds did not go back onto our card. We returned to the store. First, Alondra would not come speak to us, only sending messages like a child's game of Telephone through some poor kid working the front of the store. When we insisted on speaking with Alondra, the assistant manager and only supervisor on staff that evening, she came out. We asked again when the funds would be returned to us. This time Alondra shrugged us off and said she had no idea, that we should talk to our bank. We asked why she didn't tell us all of that when we made the return. She gave us a snide grin and said we didn't ask. This is where it became outrageous. Alondra then decided to start playing games. With the same snide grin, all of a sudden Alondra starts saying, "Yo no entiendo." That's right. She began to play an "I don't speak English" game, even though she had already clearly identified herself as the assistant manager. My husband asked her in disbelief why she suddenly didn't speak English. She said just kept on grinning and playing stupid. Why asked why, when Famous Footwear demands payment at the time of payment, Famous Footwear is so comfortable not caring when its customers receive their refunds. Just more "no entiendo." We asked for her full name. She said Famous Footwear policy is not to give her full name. We asked for her last initial. She said Famous Footwear's policy is not to provide that. Her English was just fine when she wanted it to be. We asked her to write her name down. She refused. We asked for the actual manager's name. She would only say he'd be there the next day. In short, we will NEVER make another purchase from Famous Footwear and especially not this location. Famous Footwear should be ashamed that they have promoted someone interested in toying with their customer's money for her own entertainment into an assistant manager's position. And that assistant manager is playing "I don't speak English" games with the customers. We live in Phoenix, AZ. It is important for customer service industries to have Spanish-speaking employees. But having someone use their bilingualism as a ploy to screw paying customers out of their legitimate refunds. Shame on Famous Footwear for protecting and promoting someone like that. read more
