Food was delicious. Got ribs, corn fritters, sweet potatoes fries. All delicious, however the fries were a bit greasy for my liking. I would get the corn fritters 10x over again. Ribs were tender, juicy, and delicious highly recommend. Food took about 20 minutes for our to go order. They did run out of bags & to go silverware so I'm glad we didn't order coleslaw being were from out of town. They need to makes guests aware of things before they order. read more

I'm absolutely done with this place. I can take bad service from time to time but this past weekend was the icing on the cake. Service seemed better. Drinks came quick. Meals were served rather timely. As usual, their food is decent and I was hungry for BBQ. Yet, as I take my first bite, what's staring up at me but a rather robust looking dark hair. I'm bald. My wife's got long hair. Not a chance this came from us. The plate went back and off to the side I see one of the meal prep guys. Brown hair. Ball cap. Facial hair. Zero hair net. My stomach churned. My meal came back (meat only), without the sides. The sides never came. The manager comped my meal. I'm done with this place. We've been in and out several times. Service has never been good and now hair in my food - that's the straw that broke the camels back. Eat at your own risk. 6 months ago - We've been here a few times now. The food is good. The problem, for the cost of the meal, service is horrible. It's so horrible I will look elsewhere before I come here again. I'm going to have to be real hungry for BBQ to return. I don't care how good the food is, when staff ignore you, are short with you, are very inattentive, then pump you for a tip; I'm not impressed and will be reluctant to change. I go out in part to be waited on. I can cook on my own treager just as good but I dine out to avoid much of the hassle of cooking. Please step up your game. Yeeeee Haw! Ok guys this was our first time trying this place, we live about an hour and a half away and let me just say right away we WILL be back! This place exceeded all our expectations of a BBQ joint! For a lovely Friday Mid-Covid19 evening this place was doing its best to get people seated and served with only being able to seat at half capacity (again, thank you Covid) we decided since it would be a good 30+ min wait for a table we were pointed in the direction of a back corner booth dedicated for their To-Go order customers! That was slicker than deer guts on a door knob!!! We got to sit and look at the menu in a relaxed manner as we got to smell the BBQ smoke and watch others dining in and enjoying their southern comfort foods. There were so many folks callin' in and placing orders and this waitress was doing it all!! She was answering the phone, pushing out to-go boxes and soon she took ours too! She was so informative and doing it all with a smile on her face! I couldn't believe how popular this place was! We wanted to get a little taste of it all! We ended up ordering a variety sampler appetizer plate that included some of them Corn Fritters y'all rave about, you know those ones you dip into that honey butter?!! Fried green tomaters, cheese curds, onion straws, fried pickles! We got a tasty meat combo that included wings, St Luis style ribs that were falling of the bone quicker than you can say "your cinch is loose", and of course pulled pork! Should I have taken photos?! Yes, did I have the time to when I was having a good ole' fashioned backyard food-gasim' ? Shoot no! We found an outside table to enjoy our spread which could of fed a at least a couple of hungry barrel racers and their 6 dogs!! Them girls can eat! Covered in BBQ sauce and baked beans we had to slowly back away and quickly draw our selves back to our trusty steed (in this case our Subaru Outback) and packed up our left overs to try and make it back home only to race each other in the morning to see who gets to the left-overs first! Whoever you're with that's wanting a crazy good meal with a broke cowboys wages you just send them over here to Wubba's and you'll be doing the Texas Tango in no time! Since we were traveling, we did not want any leftovers and the menu seems to encourage to share items, We shared a Pork rinds w beer cheese dip, BBQ judges combo w extra side, tri-tip salad.  Believe it or not, it was the perfect amount to feed 4 adults and 2 kids who eats adult portions.  It was very nice to sample the different bbq meats.  We love the fried pork rinds!  It sizzles when you dip in the cheese. read more

First let me start by saying we aren't big complainers. We normally eat just about anything and we are usually pretty generous with our rating on yelp however, thinking about our experience with Wubba last night, we're just going to be honest. Maybe it was the time of the evening we arrived, maybe it was because it was a holiday and all of the good stuff was gone by the time we sat for dinner, maybe it's always bad. I don't know what happened, but it was not great. We rode into town late on Fourth of July, everything was closed near our motel except this barbecue shack. We walked in and the hostess told us the wait would be about five minutes. About 10 minutes into our wait, she came and told us they were all out of every side dish on the menu. She said they had a very busy day and there was nothing left. We contemplated leaving but decided not to because we were worried that no other restaurant would be open at this hour on a holiday. 15 to 20 minutes later, we finally stood up to leave. More tables were empty than full and the wait was getting ridiculous. At this point, the hostess walked up and informed us she had a table ready. When we were finally seated, we noticed the table was a little sticky.A young man came right over and wiped the table for us. The waitress informed us they still had a few sides, we were able to get mixed veggies and a baked potato dinner. We ordered something called a judges plate to get multiple types of meat which were mostly fat and barbecue sauce. Tri-tip was mostly fat, the ribs were like gristle and pieces of bone that flaked off in your mouth when you tried to eat it. We had ordered enough to take home with us so that we could have it the next day on our travels but opted to just let it go to the trash. And as for those side dishes, they were cold. Cold vegetables, cold potato, and by potato I mean the tiniest darn potato you've ever seen. And I'm not just saying that because were from Idaho. It was not a potato that you would use for a baked potato, it's the one you chop up and throw into your eggs for breakfast. We took a slice of berry pie with us so that we had something for the road the next day, The jury is still out on the pie as we haven't tried it yet. read more

As with about 99.037% of places give you way too little au jus. Same here and some of it got spilled on the way to the table. I adjusted quickly to the bbq sauce on the table and it worked out great. Had the smoked beans. They were good but just barely could be called warm when they hit the table. Had a salad side the was fresh and crispy. I ordered a Wubba's Burger with cheddar cheese. What I received was a burger patty with blue cheese crumbles... yuck. The waiter took it back which was nice & I waited for another 15-20 minutes for another burger. My brother ordered medium rare prime rib and a Coors Light. Out of Coors, out of Bud Light, and any light beer. Hardly any beer in stock. Took 20 minutes to receive our drinks. When he was given his meal, the prime rib was as red as could be. Barely cooked. We are meat lovers and enjoy medium rare meat, so we know how we like it cooked - what he got was definitely not medium rare. Our waiter took it back and brought back a new slab of meat that was a gnarly looking color. Not much flavor. Fries were good, I had a yummy mixed drink and enjoyed their mixed drink menu. This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had dining while on a trip. My wife and I came in and placed a order for take out. It took them 45 minutes to get our order completed. The restaurant wasn't more than half full. The waiting area had wood,unpadded benches to wait on. We got back to our room and sat down expecting a good meal, as we'd paid 23 bucks per person for their tri tip meal. I asked for medium, my wife medium rare. There was no pink in any of our pieces and I know why they included au jus. It was so dry, you needed it to be able to swallow the meat. A storm was in full effect and took out the power in the whole city of Klamath. I had called about an hour before closing and before the power went out. I asked for their hours and Parking accommodations for big rigs as we were highly recommended!! Again, on arrival we were bummed to see the power gone. But this great crew understood our hunger and eagerness to try they're bbq. The cook said "I'll serve them" no power, just flashlights. Act of God before our eyes. The power came back on and the time was passed closing, Bit we were treated as if we were the first customers of the Day. No hurry, No lack of service and the Food was absolutely GREAT!!!! We have been to Kansas City for their bbq and let me say this is right on par. The smoke was perfect, the chicken shredded with a fork, the pulled pork have amazing flavor, the brisket had a beautiful crust and just melted, the ribs tasty. A special call goes out for the creole rice and baked beans. Best baked beans i think I have ever had. We bought their bbq sauce just to try and recreate the magic at home. read more

We walked to this place on July 4th to pick up dinner and eat at our room in Days Inn nearby. We had a bit of a wait placing our order since it was busy, but picked it up within 20 min. We tried their chicken bbq combo, salmon combo, pulled pork and beef (wet wubba) sandwich along with creole rice, cole slaw and corn fritters. All of it was pretty good for our layover at a random town on the way to Crater Lake and ideal to watch the neighboring fireworks with. Prices seemed reasonable and staff was friendly. This was a good, gluten-free dinner. It wasn't quite five stars, but it was good and worth the visit. Our server seemed well aware of gluten intolerance. It was not crowded on a Thursday night. We were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered an IPA, and my wife ordered a glass of Cabernet. It took a little longer than expected to get the drinks. Mine tasted pretty weak for an IPA. Later, when the check came, it was apparent that I was served a Coors Light. Not having had one for many years, I can now say with personal knowledge why I won't have one again! The BBQ was good. Unfortunately for Wubba's, they serve Kansas style and we love Memphis style. The side dishes we ordered were creamy mac salad for me, steamed veggies for my wife, and gluten free BBQ beans for both of us. All three were good. We love wubbas! This tends to be our go to when we can't decide where we want to eat. The food is always good! I have not been disappointed once. We've also had the family style meal and it is great! Kansas City style BBQ here. The brisket I had was nice and tender/fatty, just the way I like it. They only have one bbq sauce at the table and I liked it because it was smoky and that's what I look for in a good bbq sauce. Love their pork nachos. Love their beef brisket, though it sometimes can be a little dry, on a normal day, it's as good as anything I have ever had in bbq joints across America from Kansas City to Omaha. I really like their meat competition offerings. One of the more expensive dining locations overall in town, but there are plenty of affordable options, too.
