    Hot and sour malatang
    Ankita S.

My husband, his parents, and I came to dinner here recently for the first time and had a very nice meal! We came about an hour before close and were seated immediately as the restaurant was not very busy at the time. Our waitress brought over and explained the menu to us. We got a couple of the bottles of teas that they keep in the cooler at the counter. We tried the honey and the green honey - both were good with mild sweetness. At first glance of the menu, it didn't seem like there were many vegetarian options, but our waitress explained that all of the malatang options can be vegetarian because unless stated explicitly, they were made with vegetarian broth. We decided to get a couple orders of the egg rolls for the table and then my husband and I got the hot and sour soup malatang with noodles six vegetables instead of three because we decided to skip the meat and the hibachi mixed vegetables with noodles as well. The egg rolls were delicious - crispy and tasty! The wrappers were a little different than what you normally associate with egg rolls, but I liked it quite a bit. The mixed veggies with noodles was delicious! It was super flavorful, had a nice sauce, and paired great with the noodles. The malatang was fine and plentiful, but I didn't find the broth to have a lot of flavor. Of note, even though it doesn't state on the menu, our waitress told us we could ask for almost any dish to be made spicier. For dessert they only had one option available which was the lime jelly. The jelly itself tasted plain but was in a bowl of a lime flavored juice or syrup that gave it the flavor. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and was actually rather light and refreshing. Overall this was a good experience and I want to come back for more of the mixed vegetables and to try the dry mix malatang because that might be more my speed than the soup!

My husband and I had been waiting for Wukong to open, after Koko's had closed. We charge our car at the Electrify America station in the same parking lot, so it's always exciting when a new place opens up. We stopped in just a few days after Wukong opened, and even being a new business - they were on point! The restaurant was decorated very nicely, everything was very clean and inviting, and the menu looked incredible! The server that we ordered from and chatted with was so nice and kind, wanting to make sure to explain everything we were ordering and what came with it, etc. She also came over to ask how everything was after we got our food and had eaten for a while, and was very interested to make sure everything came out perfectly. Great service. To start, we tried the Crab Rangoon, which were super creamy and flavorful. I hate when rangoons are chunky and fluffy inside, making it sort of dry. There was none of that here! Just a really good, high quality version, which isn't easy to do. We tried two entrees - the hibachi and the Malatang soup. Both come with different proteins you can choose, and both were fantastic! For the Malatang, we ordered the Hot and Sour with fatty beef. The broth was SO delicious and full of flavor. It definitely had a bit of heat, but only for a twang of flavor, not to just be hot for the sake of being hot. The meat, veggies, and noodles all worked so well together - it was like heaven in a bowl. The hibachi we ordered was the Steak and Chicken. It came out full of the proteins in a tasty hibachi marinade, along with some grilled veggies, also in the same sauce, and a side of brown rice (that was great when mixed in with the veggies and meats!) The hibachi also came with a side of Yum Yum sauce like you see at the tableside hibachi experiences, but you could have it on the side and dip it yourself here, which I liked! For Wukong only being open a few weeks, they have definitely already impressed me a ton, and I will for sure be back many times. Definitely check them out next time you're in the area. Or just make the drive out there - you won't regret it!

ABSOLUTELY, THE BEST ASIAN RESTAURANT IN THE METRO AREA! 1st time was take out for hubby and I. The second time (2 days later), went in with the family! Truly, blown away with yummy and the service is outstanding! I would post more pics but I ate it so fast ... I forgot to take one until it was nearly gone. The portions are large and I still smash it within a small amount of time! I seriously, put the fork down! We plan to go back tonight or tomorrow!

Yesterday, my family and I ventured out west and were in the the mood for Chinese. We found a delightful Chinese restaurant right by the Super Target right off 177th and Center WuKongs Asian Restaurant It was amazing!! They specialize in their version of a Chinese Hot Pot, the Malatang I ordered that. I picked 3 types of meat and combined it with 3 vegetables. I asked for a spice heat level of 3. It is served in a rich broth. My daughter ordered the Orange Chicken which was pretty tasty. We had eggs and crab Rangoon to start and they even had chicken nuggets for my less adventurous granddaughter Vickie was our waitress and she was amazing and very informative She was delightful. Thank you WuKongs for the delicious meal and great service We will be back

    Pork bone broth malatang

I saw this place opened up recently so we decided to give it a try. I've never had malatang, or cooked hotpot, before. It's like regular hotpot except you choose the toppings and soup base and they'll prepare it for you. I ordered the pork bone broth malatang, which was one of their new broths they just recently added. It was pretty good, but a little bland for my liking so I added some chili oil. The beef and toppings were cooked perfectly and everything was served pretty quickly! Overall, everything was pretty good and I would come back.

Really quite disappointed. I asked for no onions and I got a TON of them. And I think in the chicken meal I got, there was a dozen or so cubes of chicken. I was planning to go to Panera, but the line was long and I thought I'd try a local place to gives some business. The food tasted good, but in my opinion. Not worth $18 for this and the Gyoza. I probably won't go back. If I wasn't back at work, I'd likely take it back.

A new restaurant that took over for Koko's Korean Chicken, and previously 5 Spice restaurant. You can order at the counter or use the self kiosks on the side of the wall. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken and Steak combination. A salad is delivered in a plastic container with salad dressing. The main entrée comes later, already in a takeout container. The steak and chicken lacked some robusto flavor, even though dipping sauce is included. Overall, service is very good and the restaurant is well maintained. 4 stars for the service aspect, with the combination plates needed a bit more flavor.

    Crab Rangoon

New Restaurant and it did not disappoint. The crab Rangoon's are very good they did not skimp on the filling and they have a nice crisp to them. The yogurt drink was very refreshing and the hibachi was a good portion. Service is very friendly and you can also order through a kiosk will be coming back

First time here and absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back again. Love the way it looks inside and the vibe is amazing. Thank you to the owners for wonderful hospitality and service. :).

Found this place online. What a great place!!! Super clean! Everyone is so nice and like. The egg roles are amazing!! Totally homemade. The crab Rangoon's are filled to the max. Both the egg rolls and Rangoons are not oily. The chicken and steak hibachi was delicious and well seasoned. Portions are great! A must try for those in the Omaha area

I typically don't leave reviews but Wukong was a unique find with such lovely staff. I've never tried Malatang before but I wanted to do something new. It's sort of like hot pot because of how much flavor there is but instead it comes separately and I got to choose three meats and three non-meats from the list. I got the hot and sour and all the ingredients came together in the bowl. I was worried they would be soggy but they were actually the perfect texture. I'll be coming back here in the future, I definitely recommend it.

The Oreo one caught me off guard because it reminded me of Oreo fluff. Super airy and the Oreo flavor wasn't too overpowering.
