We ordered several dishes, including the Peking duck, dry fried spicy chicken, spicy boiled fish, cumin lamb, hot and sour shredded potato, and a cabbage dish. The standout dishes were definitely the Spicy Boiled Fish and Dry Fried Spicy Chicken. The fish arrived in a vibrant, spicy broth loaded with dried chilies, Sichuan peppercorns, and fresh herbs. It had the signature numbing and spicy flavor that Sichuan cuisine is known for, while still allowing the fish to remain tender and flavorful. The dry fried chicken was crispy, well-seasoned, and packed with smoky chili flavor. The Cumin Lamb was another favorite, featuring tender slices of lamb stir fried with onions, cilantro, and cumin. It was aromatic, savory, and paired well with rice. The Hot and Sour Shredded Potato provided a refreshing contrast to the richer dishes, offering a light crunch with a balance of tanginess and spice. The Peking Duck had crispy skin and juicy meat, making it a solid choice for sharing. The cabbage dish was simple but satisfying and helped balance the meal's heavier flavors. While the food was excellent and felt much closer to what you would find in an authentic Sichuan restaurant, the service could use some improvement. Our waiter seemed rushed throughout the meal and interactions felt somewhat hurried. While our food arrived promptly and accurately, the overall experience would have been more enjoyable with a bit more attentiveness and warmth. Overall, Sichuan Bistro delivers authentic flavors, generous portions, and a beautiful dining atmosphere. If you're a fan of spicy Sichuan cuisine or looking to try something beyond the standard Chinese takeout menu, it's definitely worth a visit. I think this restaurant is relatively new, less than 1 yr. The restaurant is new and clean. The bathroom is new and clean. There appears to be plenty of parking out in front of the restaurant. . The strip mall where this restaurant is located is adjacent to the Sam's Club and right next to the Sam's gas station, so the restaurant is next to a high traffic area. I suggest while you are gassing up your car, leave 30 min - 1 hr and get a meal at this restaurant. read more

We started with the bowl of Hot n sour soup! Best I've had in Omaha hands down! Had the fried dry hot pot with lamb. Flavors so on point and mouthwatering! Spicey sliced chicken. I loved this. I'm obsessed. We almost left after waiting for a bit for someone to come to our table after we sat down and I'm so glad we stayed. The food was hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had. The beef dish was killer. Everything tasted super fresh and well made. It wasn't the overly greasy or saucy kind of food I'm used to getting at Chinese restaurants in town. They brought us a little complimentary dessert after we ate and the whole experience was just so nice. The place is smaller so I can imagine they can get busy. A friend and I popped in for dinner the other night and were so glad we did! Service was very slow to start out with, to the point we were talking about leaving, when someone finally came by to get our orders. We ordered Spring Rolls, Chicken Dumplings, Dry Fried Beef in Hot Pot, and Spicy Dry Noodles. The food came out fast and was piping hot, which was a pleasant surprise considering earlier service. The food, especially the Hot Pot, was amazing. I didn't care for the Spring Rolls - they were bland in comparison to the other items, and the wrapper was soggy on the inside (which I loathe), but they weren't inedible. The Nutty Brown Sugar Ice Jelly was a surprise additional to our meal as it was brought to us complimentary. I was leery since I'm not a fan of the texture of boba, but the "jelly" was closer to a jello texture. It also wasn't overly sweet and the milk tea was perfect. This is a fresh clean look at an old tradition in food. My wife and I ordered green tea, spring rolls, combination fried rice, and chicken broccoli rice. The first thing that stood out was the incredible speed, on top of that the food was hot, fresh, plentiful, delicious, and they were very friendly! They speak both Chinese and English fluently so the ambience is authentic, but everyone will dine in comfort here, there's no language barrier. What could be better than great food, fast and friendly service? Well, that would be free cream at the end and a mint! I've eaten here twice and I really like it. Between my first and second visit I went to the Chinese buffet that is about 100 feet away as a comparison and I completely hated the buffet. The staff is super attentive with water and other requests. The second time I had the traditional kung pao chicken and it was very flavorful. The first time I had twice cooked pork and while it was good, it was not what I was used to. There are chopsticks on the table and the menu items are listed in Chinese and English. So, people who really know Chinese food must patronize this place. I wish they had hot and sour soup and egg foo young. I had to both times ask for soy sauce. I'm guessing that's probably because soy sauce is not considered authentic or really Chinese. Or something. Not really needed given the flavor of the food. They play some jazzy Chinese music. Love to see new restaurants open in up in my neighborhood. Stopped by for the first time today. Since I was dining solo today I ordered two entrees. One was the Chicken Lo Mein and the other was the Sweet Potato Noodle with Pork. Both very delish, but for me the Chicken Lo Mein did it.
