Deciding not to live like this any longer, I took action and responded to an add for the Total Wellness Weight Loss Center in Hayward, which proved to be one of the best decisions that I have ever made to improve my health and boost my self esteem. Less than 7 months later, I'm 43 pounds lighter, my skin is glowy , inflammation is gone, the double chin is gone and those minor aches and pains that you might experience, as a result of aging, have lessened considerably. As I continue with red light therapy, I'm discovering additional benefits such as a stronger immune system. So far, I've not gotten sick with the cold and lingering cough that has been circulating around the workplace for the last few months. What I found most rewarding is Star! Her name fits her perfectly! She owns the buisness and is just a remarkable trainer, full of joy and positivity. It's like having your own personal cheerleader who guides you back to yourself, back to good health, and back to the body of your youth!

I have to say, I didn't have a great experience with Go Light Bariatrics. I had the Stomach Sleeve…read moreto Gastric Bypass done on October 25, 2023. The trip there on 10/24/2023, was uneventful and the first night at the hotel was nice. I was taken to CIBA Hospital, Tijuana, Mexico facility and DR. Zavalza performed my surgery the morning of October 25, 2023. The surgery was uneventful. However, what I noticed immediately was the substandard cleanliness of the hospital room. The day of surgery and two days to follow, my bedding wasn't changed, my hospital gown wasn't changed, I wore the same underwear and incontinence pad for three (3) days, I wasn't given even a bed bath, the janitorial staff emptied the trash cans, I have an allergy to latex and that was the wound treatment used and did a quick sweep around the door. Here is the list of my experience: 1) I was admitted to Ciba Hospital on 10/25/23 for gastric sleeve revision to gastric bypass with hernia repair. 2) I was released to Quartz Hotel, Tijuana, Mexico on 10/27/23 with an onsite patient coordinator. 3) On the morning of 10/29/23, I was taken from Quartz Hotel to San Diego, CA airport American Airlines and waited five (5) hours for a flight to Phoenix, AZ. 4) On the morning of 10/30/23, I experienced nausea, vomiting and increased fatigue. As Post Op instructions stated this was possible, I continued my post op clear liquid regime, hydration and post op medication as required, starting Vitamin D, B12, Calcium as post op directed 5) I contacted my primary care physician for a post op follow up appt. on 10/31/23, as my abdomen and wounds, skin rash and discoloration were starting to severely hurt. The appointment was scheduled for Monday, 11/06/23. 6) On 11/01/23, vomiting, nausea, extreme fatigue, severe bloated abdomen, severe pain around left and right main abdominal incisions. I was cleaning and putting antibiotic ointment on and around my incisions and wound area, which was still severely red and rash from the Ciba Hospital Tape used, which I was allergic to. 7) On 11/02/23, I became pretty housebound due to increased fatigue and dizziness, my urine output had greatly diminished and my bowels hadn't functioned since before surgery. Drinking water and any type of liquid nourishment was impossible to stay down. I speed dialed my primary care physician and requested an appointment that day or the next day. I was given an appointment opening for the next day on Thursday, 11/03/23 @ 3:30 pm. By noon on 11/02/23, I was extremely fatigued and started becoming disoriented, not aware of the date or time. I vaguely remember locking my dog in his kennel about 10:30 am and headed to the bedroom. I was so disoriented; I couldn't focus on putting on my PJ' s properly and crawled into bed. At that point everything went black. 9) On 11/03/23, about 4:00pm, the Mesa, AZ Police Department Officers, EMT's, my daughter and HOA Security broke into my residence. The neighbors had been alerted by my dog howling and barking half the night and all morning. HOA Security notified my daughter and there was no response by me by phone or knocking. I had been unconscious for approximately 27 1/2 hours when found in bed. I was later told that when found, at first glance, I was completely grey, initially cold to the touch and thought to have expired. I vaguely remember being revived for a brief period and briefly revived again in the hospital emergency room. 10) I have vague memories of CT scan, needles that hurt drawing blood and later found out that x-rays and other procedures were done. Unconscious, I later found out that I was admitted to ICU on 11/03/23 11) On the afternoon of 11/04/23, I was admitted to the 7th floor of Banner Baywood Hospital, and later informed that it was the floor for the overflow ICU patients and those in critical care. The staff addressed my concerns in Hospital Hazmat apparel, masks and gloves, as my toxicology screening came back Sepsis Shock positive. 12) During a brief period of consciousness, the evening of 11/04/23, I was informed by a Hospitalist Surgeon assigned my case and assigned Internal Bariatric Doctor. I was admitted and hospital record confirmed treated with the following conditions: (a) Sepsis Shock originated from Ciba Hospital care. (b) Elevated White Blood Count. (c) Bowel Constipation issue, non functioning. (d) UTI from dehydration most likely from days unconscious. (e) Abdominal infection and fluid build up. (f) Incision wounds and surrounding area infection. (g) Kidney functioning involved, (h) Pneumonia. Granted, any surgery may have complications; however, even following pre op and post op instructions, what I experienced no one else should have to live through. I am finally posting this due today; because, these procedures are serious surgery and should be treated as such... Not a week vacation that could have serious if not fatal consequences....

I am 70 years old and had a diagnosis of metabolic syndrome and decided to get this done as soon as I was able. My daughter and granddaughter both had gastric sleeves performed by Dr. Zavalza in 2017 and between the three of us, there has not been any complaints at all. The experience couldn't have been more flawless and the Dr and staff were more than attentive and caring. I have no reservations about referring friends and family to his care.

I had my first ever massage with Tiffanie and yall.... No pain. After it was done, I couldn't believe how easy it was to get up and put my pants on. No pain, no stiffness. She has miracle hands. Like frfr. I'll be going back even if my back pain is gone permanently because the experience was just that amazing. I was so nervous at first, a bit insecure and not really knowing what to expect but Tiffanie was so kind and inviting. There was no judgement. She gave me clear instructions and made sure I was comfortable with everything. She also talked to me about the importance of taking care of myself and even advised on other things we can do for next time - like acupuncture and waxing (for my facial hair). And her music playlist is on point! Thank you to my mans for making me go for Mother's Day and thank you, Tiffanie, for your healing hands.

I almost always have to tell massage therapists to adjust pressure but Tiffanie's was perfect from the get go. I feel like she truly understands the art and science of massage therapy, especially given how insanely tense my shoulders have been. I have a ways to go to loosen the months worth of tension in my shoulders but my massage with Tiffanie was exactly what I needed after a stressful few months! I'm trying to incorporate regular massages for my own self care and mental health and I know I'll be coming back to HoHSpa!

Everyone there is so warm and welcoming, and there is no judgement there at all. There are so much laughter and chatter, it's always such a warm and fun atmosphere. I know it's seems almost impossible to wake up at 5am and be at the gym by 6am for exercise, but once you get into the rhythm of starting your day early and sleeping early, it does wonders for your body and energy! The pricing is also very affordable, and bootcamp membership is offered in chunks of 3-months/6-months/a year. I'm only be in California for an undetermined amount of time, and after expressing my concerns, Mitch was very understanding and accommodating, so we were able to find something for me. Time flies really fast during bootcamp, but what I really appreciate is that there's no pressure to do beyond what you're capable of, you can go at your own pace and no one will judge you. Dianne and Mitch both demonstrate each exercise so it's easy to follow along, and they keep track of how many sets of each exercise we do. One of the biggest things they emphasize is correct posture, so you don't accidentally injure yourself during exercise. I've walked out of gym feeling all my muscles aching (in a good way!!) and I definitely am feeling so much healthier and less antsy I recommended my sister to come here as well and today was her first day of PT. It's her first time going to a gym for exercise, so having a PT to personally guide her was a good choice. She said it was a little bit of a challenge but she appreciated how attentive they were to the exercises she could do and the ones she struggled with. Needless to say, this was a great choice for us!! Thank you so much!

When I'm in a lot of pain, he will lower the pressure to something more comfortable. Others have written that this machine did not help them, but for me I love this massage table, because it works for my back. Over the years I've been to different chiropractors, and every time I've left with some muscles feeling like they were worked over. To my understanding this is normal when a chiropractor pokes, and adjusts your bones/muscle. I recently was in a motorcycle accident so I have been back to Dr. Olberg three times a week for the past few weeks and my body is finally coming back to life feeling normal. His original assessment was easy and he explained to me how your body may (or may not react) to an accident over the next 3-4 months. His explanation made sense on the need to keep your muscles and bones loose and limber during the healing process, so scar tissue doesn't build up, causing new aches and pains. I want to thank Greg for his adjustments thus far as I'm on my way to getting rid of the aches and pains, and hopefully preventing any new symptoms caused from my accident.
