It is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Two hours are enough to experience it all. There is a splash water park with many slides, a refreshment stand with good snacks, a botanical garden, a walking trail with several benches, a gazebo with a bench underneath, and plenty of good spots to picnic. Today I saw several banana trees, a teenage girl posing for photos in her sweet 16 ball gown, a protective swan father guarding his two cygnets and life partner, an amateur fisherman doing a catch and release although fishing is forbidden in the lake, and some youths joyfully playing soccer on the grass. A local resident told me that last Fall he even saw a baby fox wandering around. Geiger Park is a must visit for those who admire nature and seek adventure. It is also a great date spot. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Today, one staff member offered me a free potted Zinnia plant, but I politely declined.

Sprinklers are turned on during the summer (don't forget your kid's bathing suit and towel). Where the bathrooms are located at inside the community room, there's a billiard and ping pong table, a water fountain and vending machines for your convenience. I would have stayed longer but I had errands to run. Paid around $22 and change (tax included) for the day. Price is per child with one adult. Any additional adult is $5. They accept credit cards. Not sure about cash. If you're leaving but plan on coming back the same day, let them know so they can put a bracelet on you. The place is very clean and there's a lot of things for a toddler to do. I saw kids up to maybe 5-6 years old that seemed to be having a good time. I was actually pretty surprised at the size of the place and expected it to be smaller. There's slides (1 spiral and 4 straight ones), a ball pit, a trampoline and tricycles to name a few. The tricycles are for slightly bigger kids though. I have an almost 3 year old and he could barely reach the pedals but was still content with me pushing him around on the "track". You put your shoes in the cubby holes before entering (make sure to wear socks!) and there are small tables and chairs inside the area that you can put your jackets/bags on. You can also eat in this area. Just no food and drinks in the actual play area. There is also bathroom/changing facilities in the back (not sure how many or the condition they're in as I didn't utilize it during this visit - will update this when I visit again). I saw a little refrigerator at the front with drinks and snacks on the shelves I'm assuming for purchase but I didn't purchase anything. Overall, I would highly recommend coming here if you have a toddler! Great all day price, very clean and can come and go as you please without paying more for the day. Todays visit to the Community Center in Syosset Woodbury Park had an Hour long Holiday Magic…read morepresentation by the Silver Songbirds. ( see pix) For those who might be using a GPS be aware once entering the park to make aright turn and follow to the back parking lot where the Center is. The group was lead by Susan Lilli's - Conductor & Narrator. They sang a variety of holiday songs and did a few skits, also handing out candy canes to the audience. "Nancy" played the drum for " Little drummer boy". They ended with "Auld Lang Syne wishing the audience good holidays and Happy New Year. In the back there were a few snacks for the sharing. The building itself has some children's decor, a display of wall tiles and a little Christmas tree in the hall.
