So it is super cute and clean and the beds are very comfortable. It is no longer a bed and breakfast though, it's just a bed. They blamed it on Covid, but it became clear that they just can no longer get it together. Unfortunately, the owner is quite ill, and admittedly on "very heavy drugs," which she asked us to forgive her for while she took a half hour to find our reservation and room. She is also very cranky. I received a 10 minute condescending lecture on how to lock the door and was told repeatedly that "bad boys" break in and wander the halls. There was a helper in the parking lot who was not very helpful. He accused me over and over again of hitting another guest's car, which I did not, as I was the only one in the lot for 2 days. Clearly the other guest hit me when she arrived. I felt harassed. Let's just say they care nothing for customer service. It was very expensive for no breakfast. I can totally see that it had it's day, and many good reviews from the beginning of the year, but must have been a rapid decline. Time to sell. read more

Beds on Clouds is exactly the reason you'd choose a B&B over a hotel in a small ski town. It's eccentric, personal and most definitely unique. The main part of the building is an art gallery owned by a wife and husband who also run the B&B and do the cooking. They clearly enjoy having guests and love sharing their experiences with them. The rooms are all themed, the beds are comfy, and our night at Beds on Clouds definitely colored our Windham experience for the better. Careful with the back parking lot in the snow tho - it's very tight and I was glad I had 4WD and a backup camera to navigate my way out of the lot. read more

Our room was small, very clean with a private bathroom and a king bed that could have been separated into two twin beds. Perfect for a one night/day ski trip. My husband and I made a reservation through booking.com to stay here for Labor Day weekend. On Thursday, I received an email from Rebecca, one of the owners, saying "We apologize for not being able to accommodate you. Our Friday guest, who have been our repeat customers since many years, have expressed the desire to extend their stay for additional 2 nights." Seriously? Two days before a busy holiday weekend, they cancelled our reservation just because another customer wanted to stay longer? How is that acceptable? Before I could even reply, Rebecca called my cellphone, wanting to make sure I had received her email. I told her I was disappointed, but thanked her for letting me know. 5 minutes later she called me again: "Can you keep this just between us and not tell booking.com? because they don't like it when we do something like this". Well, that sounded REALLY SHADY! So of course I immediately called booking.com. They agreed that it was completely not okay for the owners to do this. The customer service rep helped me make a reservation at a different B&B, and gave me a refund for the price difference since obviously the few places still available for the holiday weekend were more expensive at the last minute! I had read the other yelp reviews about the Beds on Clouds owners being fickle-natured (it sounds like they are very kind to some guests, and quite the opposite to others!) but we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt at first. I guess they are nice to you if you've been staying with them for years and are in their inner circle or whatever, but if you're a first time customer then watch out! We ended up staying at another B&B nearby, and since Windham is a small town, we had to walk past Beds on Clouds on our way to a restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. Guess what? Their neon "vacancy" sign was lit! So not only did they go behind booking.com's back to cancel our reservation, but they lied about not having any other rooms available for us! The whole thing was incredibly sketchy, and we were glad to not be staying there. Their attitude made us feel very uncomfortable, and I would not feel safe sleeping under the same roof as people like that! read more

The place was weird and by morning the owners woke us up screaming at us for not being in time for breakfast, www errant shocked...after that they yelled at us once more cause we didn't like the food....too wired for me! My boyfriend and I have stayed at Bed and Clouds for the weekend of Oct 13-14-15. We had a great time. We truly enjoyed our time in the Catskills and a good part of the credit goes to the b&b. Rebecca was kind, sociable and ready to help and work out our needs (e.g. we checked in at 10 PM - pretty late. We checked out at 2.30 PM - it's very rare that hotels let you keep the room that long.). The rooms are awesome. Cute, clean, spacious. I enjoyed my room and I already know which one I'm gonna choose for my next trip! Susumu's breakfast is notorious and I have to tell you: it exceeds its reputation! I had the best pancakes ever. The potato gratin was delicious and the fruit is always fresh and tasty! Great chef! Plus, the location is perfect: main street of Windham, few steps to restaurants and shops. P.s. What a charming B&B ! I had an amazing time there for Christmas. Rebecca & Susumu are exquisite hosts and they are pet friendly. Made my stay the most enjoyable and even helped me with my dogs while I was on the slopes. The whole house is really neatly decorated with a lot of artwork & many antiques. The entire house is running filtered water so you will leave with a shiny hair. Bed was very comfortable as well. Don't forget the delicious breakfast! Susumu is quite a chef! The owner a reservation I made months ago for a festival in June because I wouldn't stay a third night. Original reservation was for two nights and wasn't an issue in December and now no lodging is left in the area. Owner was very rude and hung up on me when I asked for an email confirmation, and emailed me a month later to refund my deposit. read more

Stayed here with my girlfriend before the Warrior Dash. The rooms are incredibly elaborately decorated (our room had leopards everywhere) and the owners are incredibly friendly. The dining room is full of all sorts of strange/cool things that are for sale--Rebecca (I think that was her name) noted "I lived next to a flea market in new york city for years". The breakfast was tasty (croissants, omelette, fruit, coffee, juice) and the art gallery they run is pretty cool, as apparently her husband gained quite a bit of fame for his photography of flags from around the world made of different colored roses. They paid lots of attention to detail (showing you around, a chocolate in your room when you arrive, tons and tons and tons of pillows ha). It was the first time I've stayed at a real B&B and I suppose this was what I imagined it might be like, very nice :) read more

We just had the most wonderful stay at Beds on Clouds! This bed and breakfast is lovely and charming. Breakfast is made by the owners each morning and was delicious! The rooms are very pretty and have modern amenities (showers, sinks, etc). It was less than a mile from Windham Mountain for skiing and had many cute shops and places to eat nearby. Free street parking. Very reasonable rates. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Windham or Hunter Mountain for vacation. read more

Rebecca and her husband were phenomenal! We felt right at home. We escaped the windham to do some skiing. The stayed in the Sunset room. What an amazing bed and pillows... We didn't hear a peep and slept like a king. Bathroom was also gorgeous. We enjoyed the pictures throughout the house. Breakfast was amazing! Chocolate everything, fresh fruit, coffee, oj, omelette, asparagus, ham and Rebecca's fresh baked croissants. We are definitely going back and taking the family too! read more

I cannot believe any of these positive reviews for Rebecca. I actually did not end up staying at this hotel. I booked it in July for an October 29th stay in order to be near my wedding venue for a tasting. I called in August about cancelling my room, as I was moving cross country and wouldn't be going in for the tasting that day, and asked to get my money back. Being so far in advance, Rebecca told me to call back "in a week" and she would handle it. It is now two months after my reservation date (and several months after my initial call). I've called back every few weeks and Rebecca has literally YELLED at me on the phone. She keeps saying she'll call me back and how stressed she is, "owning a b&b is so hard," etc. I have spent a lot of wasted time speaking to this unprofessional woman. I was hoping that after our stay we could recommend this hotel to some of our wedding guests as it is near my venue. I obviously will NOT be doing so. read more

I planned a surprised zip line adventure to hunter mountain for my boyfriend and had the good fortune of staying at bed on clouds for two nights. The hosts Rebecca and Susumu are kind hearted, welcoming, interesting, and generous people. The place definitely had a quaint European charm to it. It was like staying at your family's house. The home cooking in the morning was delicious, healthy and you can tell it was made with love and thought. It was also wonderful to stay next to a photography museum with a professional artist since I'm an artist myself. Rebecca gave us a detailed history of all the art in the room which was very fascinating and inspiring. Upon departure I had told her I felt like I had a cold and she went the extra mile to provide me with some vitamins and supplements to help. Thank you for your hospitality! read more

This B& B is cozy and our hosts delightful. A friend and I went skiing and this was such a comfortable (and colorful!) home to come back to. We stayed on the first floor, but were able to get a peek at a couple other rooms and they are all charming and special in their own way. My Boyfriend and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. Rebecca was a pleasure. We spoke several times before the date of our arrival and each time she was very pleasant. Once we arrived, it was like we were old friends. Being an animal lover, we bonded over her love of Calico cats. The room was cozy and nicely decorated with eclectic pieces thrown about. The first time my girlfriend and I booked the hotel was through hotels.com. My girlfriend, her best friend, and I stayed there for the weekend. We booked the room very late saturday night and Rebecca (the owner) got out of bed to show us a few rooms to accommodate our needs. She was very polite and personable, sharing stories from her very interesting past. Living in Manhattan for so many years, Rebecca and her husband Susumu share a very unique taste of antiques, photography and decor through out the house. It is very clean and everything is in order. Breakfast was our favorite part, as we got to eat everything organic, starting from milk to jams and vegetables being washed with vinegar to get rid of the pesticides, water through the whole house is filtered. Susumu is a great chef and everything that he cooks tastes delicious. We were very pleased with our stay, and went for more weekends to this amazing B&B. When the snow storm hit NYC, we left late at night and arrived at Beds on Clouds at 3 am, she had her phone next to her so when we arrived she took us to our room. As for the other reviews, for canceling on the reservation doesn't come from being unprofessional but from being very loyal and appreciating to customers through time. And also the other reviewer said that he was woken up to screaming for being on time for breakfast, that comes from people that have no courtesy of whatsoever to timeframes of rules of the b & b, people can't just stay around all day to wait when people wake up. Overall, its one of our favorite places to stay. They are very real and interesting to talk to, so we would be going there a lot, driving there as we speak for a fun skiing weekend. read more
