We stayed here for a night and it was great. The place is well kept and staff is great. The food was great. Our dog was allowed to stay with us. For a fee. The grounds are spacious and well managed. I will be back now knowing it here. read more

Catskill Seasons Inn deserves every one of its five stars! This was my first time in the Catskills, and the views were stunning, especially with the fall foliage. We came for a work retreat, and the experience was great. David, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so friendly and made us feel right at home (including sharing his chill af pupper with us as we worked). My room was gorgeous, with two bedrooms and a full kitchen space, plus a balcony where I could enjoy my morning coffee while taking in the chilly mountain air. The food was absolutely delicious, easily some of the best we've had on work trips, and they were great about accommodating different diets. The property has so much to offer: fire pits, tennis courts, walking trails, old-school arcade games, and a cozy tavern area that's perfect for unwinding. Did I mention their WiFi is fast too? Though this trip was for work, I'm already planning to come back with my partner someday to enjoy it all over again. Highly recommend! read more

This is the last place on earth I would every stay at. Dirty floors, dirty bathroom, window blinds that don't close. My daughter went to get me breakfast (because it was raining) she came back with three muffins they all were out dated and had mold. Weekend getaway with the family for a certain someone's milestone birthday (let's just say AARP's magazine just arrived in my mailbox, which is pretty depressing!) so we wanted to find something affordable that was also within spitting distance of some of the activities we had lined up. And that's how we stumbled upon Catskills Season Inn. The area: just stunning wherever you look. The Inn is divided into two completely separate halves - Rooms 1-8 (where we stayed) is part of the main building, and the 'chalet' (fancy!) was a bit yonder (with tennis courts and a basketball court between us). The room itself: good, a facelift all around (paint, fix that wacky shower-knob-system, etc.) wouldn't hurt, but it did the job and we didn't really stay in there too long, of course. (And there's a communal mini-fridge for everyone to use and for the few days we were there - someone had a big bag of food that took up most of the fridge, which was selfish and impeded on what we could do/use.) Lots of outdoor space (picnic tables and I think you could grill if that's your thing, a swimming pool that was open but it was a bit too nippy when we were there, and a fire-pit which we took advantage of). The bar and surrounding lounge/room looked brand-spanking new and the pool table was great (including pool cues that aren't warped at all - that's rare, trust me). We had their continental breakfast one morning... pretty basic but it did the trick (well, one gripe: they offered a nice selection of tea bags/flavors but we never did see any hot water and no one was around to ask for assistance). Special shout-out to Ethan - he's a one-man-army - he's behind the bar, he's loading up the fire-pit, he's dropping off towels to your room, he's an absolute beast and one of the nicest innkeepers we ever encountered, without a doubt. I just stayed here this past weekend for a hiking getaway with my girlfriend. I found the Inn in very good condition. The room we had in the chalet had a kitchenette but there was a continental breakfast served each morning over in the other building. The room was clean and comfortable with nice chairs to sit in after a day of hiking. We cooled off in the pool and then spent the evening in the Pub and by the firepit. The staff was very friendly. The Pub had a pool table where we had some local beers and met some other hikers who had the same idea as we did. Will definitely be back as this place was reasonably priced with a great location and a good place to wind down after being out all day. read more

This is the most disgusting hotel/inn I have ever stayed in!! No water which meant no showers for the length of our stay which was 5) days. Our room was on the 3rd floor. No elevators only steps! And alot of steps. Shower was horrible. Way too small for anyone. No Kleenex anywhere. Couldn't hang our clothes because the bar you put your clothes on was broken and kept falling. No maid service to make beds and change sheets. Lots of bugs. Not enough towels and no one to ask! Every time we went down to the lobby no one was ever there. No telephones. Truthfully I would never stay in this place ever again. It's really horrible. Oh and the breakfast was crappy! I know this is a horrible review but everything I wrote was true and very uncomfortable! read more

Where do I even begin... I originally booked this hotel because Hotels.com stated that they were pet friendly and offered free breakfast- this is important because there is no cell service or stores for at least 20-30 minutes in any direction ...They moved us to the chalet- main building does not allow pets but the chalet does. The reassured me that the rooms in the chalet were the same set up. Check- in was really easy. Catskills season inn sent us the keypad access before arrival. When we got there, it was almost 7PM because of all the traffic- the office was not open, not staff around. Later that night, when my husband and I were ready to turn in, we saw multiple stains on the sheets. We uncovered the sheets to check for bugs, we noticed little blood stains all over the mattress cover. The fun doesn't stop there. Because of the stains, my husband and I did not feel comfortable sleeping in the bed. We couldn't sleep on the floor either because there dead bugs everywhere. We decided to sleep on top of all the sheets and blanket- cant begin to tell you how uncomfortable it was. The next morning, we wanted to speak to the front desk- ask for a vacuum and maybe even switch rooms. We checked and checked and finally called the number that was provided in the main building including the hotel number from google. It's been about 24 hours now and still no call back. I even called Hotels.com to reach them and still could not get a hold of anyone. Now, like I mentioned in the beginning- they offered free breakfast- facilities were not open, we checked out Sunday and still no staff around, office closed- we were not made aware that there will be zero help on site during our visit. They left us some expired orange juice in the room. I hope this will get Catskills seasons Inn's attention and maybe finally respond to us. I do not recommend staying here. read more

This place is awful. The pictures shown are not what it really looks like. The little grass they had on the property was overgrown with mostly weeds. This place looked abandoned. When we arrived the windows had no screens and were opened. Apparently the indoor outdoor carpet was replaced and it was glued down because the glue odor was overwhelming. The beds were very old and very uncomfortable. The A/C didn't work and the filter was very dirty. I would NOT recommend this place. read more

Upon checking in I should have known we were in trouble, a current guest was complaining of no heat and a lack of hangers. When we arrived in our room , #24 in the Chalet, it was clean but that was the best thing about it. There was no closet but instead a standalone wardrobe with two sides. The left was for long hanging clothes but there was no bar to hang the clothes on. The right side had a bar and a shelf in the middle which interfered with hanging clothes. We did have 2 hangers provided. The bathroom shower had mold in the grout along the bottom 1/4 of the entire shower. We couldn't find the thermostat for awhile and then checked behind the wardrobe. It was definitely there and hard to read and use. My friends that were in other rooms had similar complaints about the mold in the shower. One said their room came with 5 live bees. This is a place I would definitely not come back to! read more

This is a cute little in not too far from Phoenicia. Stayed here during the week for a few days and it was quiet and had a nice time. The room was very clean and it seems as though they just replaced the carpet. The owner is very nice and accommodating. It was raining so we didn't get to enjoy a fire, but the fire pits are cool. Can't wait to sit around the fire next time. I would recommend this place for a quiet getaway. read more

I made the reservation for Feb 2022 but had to cancel because one of my kids was sick. I requested a refund and was told by Christina, the manager, that she can only give me a credit good for 1 year. I was ok with that until I lost my job in Dec 2022. I called and asked for a refund because of my financial situation. She said she was unable to give me a refund. After speaking to her a few times she said she was able to get me the refund and that it would take a few days to clear. After 1 month I didn't receive the credit so I contacted Christina. She said she never said she was able to give me a refund and that I could only get the credit. I then spoke to another Manager David, I was told the same thing. I am in sales, I do everything possible to make sure my customers are happy. In this current financial climate and the fact that I am unemployed, they could have given me a refund but chose not to. $207.90. Establishments and businesses that cater to the client and customer are what good business is based on. Based on this experience, I would never recommend them. My Dad stayed here for two nights and loved it! The rooms are big and comfy. the kitchen had a set up for him to cook his own meal and make coffee from a Keurig that was in the room. perfect for anyone looking to stay either one night or more. The pool was so clear and they have blow up pool items for you to use. James was the best! he was so sweet and filled us in on everything. Super helpful! I live down the road but if i need to get away i will definitely come stay myself. my dad will be staying here when he comes up and i can't wait to enjoy the food and sit outside at the fire pit ( definitely getting the s'mores) I have heard nothing but great things about the breakfast! Good food in a cute dining setting... if you can tolerate the other customers. Atmoshphere: Nice little complex with a bar and a dining room (both have a completely different vibe). We ate in the dinning room which has kind of an upscale farmhouse feel. I normally wouldn't point this out, but the restrooms are also worth checking out (the men's room has a urinal that built into the wall out of a sheet of solid granite). The only downside was that in a dining room with only two groups we were seated within earshot of a group that spent the whole night engaging in outright racist and misogynist discussion (they casually dropped the "n" word into their discussion no less than half a dozen times). Generally I wouldn't hold the restaurant accountable for their guests, but the waitress came over after they left an apologized (without us mentioning it) but claimed they were regulars and so she wasn't allowed to say anything to them. If you know what a group is going to do and let them in anyway then you bare part of the responsibility for the behavior. Staff: The staff wasn't the most attentive (honestly our waitress seemed to be trying to avoid being in the same room with the group discussed above), but they weren't the worst either. Food: The food was the highlight of the evening we had the Steak (Skirt Maybe?) and the Chicken Marsala, both were amazing although the potatoes were a bit lacking in the flavor department. As a side note I would recommend going on Thursdays when they have a special that is $18.50. read more

Stayed here for a weekend getaway recently and had a generally positive experience. First impressions are not great, it'd be nice of there was a sign saying where to "check in" and where you should park. My wife was a little taken by walking right into the bar where no one really acknowledged us at first. I like laid back and unobtrusive, but not this much. The exterior of the chalet could use a coat of paint and the inside hallway had a run down boarding house feel, but the room was lovely. Little touches like real cups and saucers and the 'pottery barn' accent furniture mixed with thrift shop mismatch keep things from being sterile. The walls are on the thin side. The grounds are a little rough; I'd ditch the eyesore basketball court(?) in the center of the property. A little sprucing up and some added information would go a long way. Ate dinner at the Inn one night and everything was delicious. read more

We had stayed at the Catskills Season Inn and we stayed a few places in Catskills in the past so we seen it all. To our amazement, the premise is very clean and our room is nice and cozy. The beds were very firm and the bathroom and overall space were top notch clean. If I have to list two complaints, it would be that the standing shower section is way too tiny and there should be quiet time observed in the communal room late in the evenings for when people sleep. Maybe put a sign up or something. But other than that, we were very satisfied and the cleaning staffs were wonderful. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs on a Thur evening and I took advantage of their Thur special which is a selective entree, salad, and coffee or tea for $18.50. I had the skirt steak cooked to medium rare perfection. Quite scrumptious. My wife got the a la carte seared scallops with rice and vegy. She too finished her portion. My son got the pasta with meatballs which was a generous portion. To top off, my son had the warm lava cake with raspberry sauce. I showed them my Yelp 1 free draft beer. While they had to check with the owner maybe because they no longer participate in it, they still honor it and gave it to me. Our waitress didn't really make small talks with us but oh well. We still enjoyed her service and checking in on us. We definitely recommend the inn for stay and restaurant for food. read more

My wife and I spent two very peaceful, very quiet days at this vintage style Catskill resort. The staff (especially the Manager, Christine) were pleasant, sociable and fun to be around and chat with. Not too far from Phoenicia or Woodstock. Whether you happen to be staying there for an event nearby, leaf peeping or just need a place to recharge, I highly reccomend it. I had gone here quite a few times with the former owner/chef. Always good! I went here when this new owner took over and the waitress was seriously lacking. Seriously! The food was okay, (although we got the wrong thing and it was not corrected). I have finally gone back for another try. Last night four of us had four delicious meals! Our service was excellent too! This was the Thursday evening specials and I was floored that more people were not out taking advantage of the value. $18.50 for salad, entree and coffee. We had filet of sole, steak, schnitzel and chicken marsala. The salads too were a nice mix of tender greens. Check this place out folks! read more

The bagel with lox is perfection and the fact that I can get it every single day without fail is the bees-knees (eating in the Catskills on a Tuesday or Wednesday tends to be a difficult affair). The bagels have the ideal amount of chew, a fair ratio of lox to cream cheese, and the type of lox they use (cold smoked? Hot smoked? Who cares?) is divine. Absolutely great food, the standard reflected something from a highly rated restaurant. Great selection of wines by the glass too & very family friendly. Where do the friendliest and cutest bugs go to die? The Catskill Seasons Inn - literally. The last night we woke up, the floor by the windows was lined with dead ladybugs and flies. They probably came in through the ceiling crack. Let me start from the beginning. Based on all the positive TripAdvisor reviews, I booked the Catskill Seasons Inn for a romantic getaway with my fiance for President's Day weekend. We even made a reservation at their dining room since the other reviewers highly recommended it and even compared it to Manhattan restaurants. And the reasonable price of $100/queen-sized bedroom price sold us. We got Room #24 and immediately, we could hear the kids in the room above us running and screaming all night long. I could also hear every word of Hannah Montana blasting from the room immediately adjacent to ours. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and make for anything but a romantic setting. And while being away from the hustle and bustle of the city was certainly relaxing, being cut off from all communication was extremely frustrating. There was no cell phone reception, which was fine - we're in the mountains, we didn't expect it -- but there wasn't even a telephone inside the room for emergencies. The second night we ate at the Inn dining room, and the service was exasperatingly slow, and the food was mediocre at best. Comparing it to a Manhattan restaurant is laughable because it was nothing but typical American fare with the basic steak, chicken and fish. You couldn't even order the burger in their dining room. We skipped dessert so we could get out of there faster. The next morning, we woke up to the screaming and jumping kids upstairs and the crying kid next door. We literally raced out of there after we saw the dead bugs by the windows. We kept saying we shouldn't expect that much for $100/night, but with dead bugs, we think we got the raw end of the deal. We'll never go back to Catskill Seasons Inn, and wouldn't recommend it for anyone young on a romantic getaway. If you have kids and want to let them scream as loud of possible, this may be the place for you. read more

When I first got into the room there were several big stains in the carpet. On the floor as well there was food and debris that housekeeping did not pick up from previous. Told the manager, Sverre, who told me on several different times throughout 2 days that he would send someone to clean it which never happened. He finally told me that the vacuum was broken on my last day and that he would have someone sweep it up which never happened. I understand that we are located in the mountains, but there were several bugs flying in the room due to one of the doors being left open. When I told the manager about this he responded "well we are in the woods". Kitchenette and table were a nice touch to the room, but there were bugs being attracted to the light over the table. Towels and sheets were clean, but no hand soap in the bathroom. AC and TV were also a challenge . AC would leak onto carpet at night after being on for a while and makes a noise like a broken car muffler. TV was a complicated to work, the manager had to come and explain there were 2 different remotes. One to turn on the Tv and another to search channels. read more

Catskill Seasons Inn is a charming place to visit and stay. My girlfriend and I took our older dog to stay for a night and a had a great time. We stayed in a room in the chalet. The room was large but cozy, had a nice little enclosed patio attached, and a kitchenette. The restaurant and bar were equally charming, with the restaurant having surprisingly good food (albeit inconsistently sized portions -- somethings reasonable, other things huge, but nothing too small) and the drinks in the bar were well priced. We walked around the grounds in the morning, poked up into the woods behind the property with our dog, and it beautifully peaceful. This is a great getaway, and we'd definitely return here the next time we head upstate. read more

Incredibly rude staff. Reservation was taken for 330. We were not sat until 347 as they gave our table away for a different party of 7 when we were a party of six. A few people showed up at 349 and were told they were not allowed upstairs and the table was full which was not the case after wasting time checking we were told they had the wrong table but at this time we still could not go up as the kitchen was closed. Why on earth would a reservation be taken for 330 not sat until 350 and then half the party told the kitchen was closed. While waiting for part of the party to come down to speak with the woman at the door a man and woman who were already up there tried to reenter and a rude "security" person would not let them go up. The general man had no shoes on and explained They had a group up there full drinks and in unpaid check and all of their belongings. He was refused and told to have his "friends" bring down your stuff then. The woman explained her bag was upstairs as well and they had food full drinks and the bill was not paid. "Security" claimed he did not care and they were not playing the up and down the stairs game with them or anyone else. Talk about rude to paying customers. After the remainder of our party was finally let upstairs we were informed we could order nothing as the bar and kitchen were closed at this point because it took 15 minutes for the whole ridiculous ordeal. We then proceeded to watch two separate tables order rounds of drinks and receive them no problem (I guess we were not locals.) one of our party was pregnant and couldn't even receive a water mind you. Absolutely terrible experience (waitress was nice and did apologize about the situation). The food that was received was mediocre at best not worth the attitudes. Better off eating downstairs or one of the cute local places in town. We've been going here for years and have a house in the area needless to say we will not be back. read more

Had a great, relaxing time at this inn with a group of friends. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant (open on weekends) served delicious food (breakfast + dinner). The bar staff was super friendly and hospitable (ask to take some shots from the shot-ski!). The property is large and has a private hiking trail in the back that leads up a small mountain. Always enjoy staying at the seasons. The room was nice and large. We even had a kitchen off it. It was cold when we got there but it was easy enough to find the thermostat and turn the heat up. We will be coming back to stay many more times. It's close to my family and friends. Love the staff and the new owner is a great guy. Plans to redo a lot to spruce the place up. I suggest anyone wanting a slice of catskill heaven to stay here. It's beautiful scenery lots of trails to hike and a large pool in the summer. Great place for kids also. Food is delish. Saturday night provides live Blues & Rock music. There are sliding doors that they partially close to mute the music in the dining area, but you can still enjoy it and hear it fully in the adjoining bar area. The dining area is spacious. The fried calamari is light and soft which I recommend. The eggplant is perfectly cooked and recommended by the two people that ordered it in the group. The grilled steak is delicious and comes with a cilantro pesto on the side, mashed potatoes and sauteed cauliflower. All 5 people of the group were raving about the entrees they ordered. I'm upset that I have to even give this place one star. To call this place a roach motel would be insulting to roaches. Firstly, there is absolutely no staff around past eight or nine PM with the exception of the caretaker Carlos (the best employee they have by leaps and bounds). "Fine dining late night?" Out and out lie. If they have no reservations they will close the restaurant and bar whenever they feel like it. And the "wonderful breakfast" is 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of toast, 2 pieces of bacon, and 2 sausage links for the low low price of EIGHTEEN DOLLARS. The restaurant opened for breakfast an hour late. Bugs, bugs, everywhere. In the light. On the window sills. Coming out of the AC. On the floors. In the beds. Everywhere. I very seriously considered sleeping in my car. The 2x2 shower stall would not have been a problem had the shower head actually poured water straight down instead of overshooting the stall and soaking the toilet and flooding the floor. I didn't shower for three days. I would have said something had there been someone on the grounds that could remedy the situation. There was no one around for check in/check out during the designated times. I was threatened by another patron with sexual assault which was not the fault of the hotel but an indicator of the clientele. A "friend" of the owners stopped to use their garbage dump and said if I wanted a room with a working shower I should have paid more for a chalet room. Nice friends. Since there was no one around to listen to my complaints I left a note asking for a partial refund due to the atrocity of that place. Vicky called me, finally, the next day around two PM after casually strolling into work. She offered a paltry refund that wouldn't even begin to make up for the absolutely disgusting conditions of the hotel. I was not asking for anywhere near a full refund. After patronizing me, calling me a snob and a liar, I informed her that I was cancelling the entire charge from my credit card because of the hotels fraudulent claims. Vicky is such a lousy businesswoman that she decided to eat the entire amount instead of giving me the partial refund I requested. The hotel also gets zero cell phone reception and has no phones in the rooms. Stay anywhere but here. Buy a tent, mosquito net, and sleeping bag. It will be a more pleasant stay than at the Catskill Seasons Inn. read more

We spent our ski vacation here. The rooms were large and clean. The small kitchen was a savior coming off the mountain. The restaurant is nice, specially if you stick to the basics. the lack of internet or phone was problematic trying to communicate to the rest of the world, but on the other hand ... sometimes it is good to be off the grid.
