This wonderful family-owned business is exactly what I was looking for. My little Gucci girl is usually very anxious when meeting strangers. She looked very comfortable in Josh's arms before I left, and was completely calm when I arrived to pick her up. I really liked the open design concept. Not a single dog was in a cage, and I was able to watch the gentle groomer as she worked her magic. Every dog looked AMAZING! When making an appointment I made it clear that I only wanted a bath, brush, de-shed, and nail trim. I wanted nothing cut or trimmed at all. The gentleman on the phone assured me that they wouldn't do anything but that (as I do the rest myself at home). When I picked up my dog the groomer I was told that I would have a $15 additional charge since my dog was "difficult to handle" (this had never been an issue at any of the groomers he has been to so I was shocked but none the less complied). She then informed me that she scratched my dogs nose with the brush. I wasn't worried about it at first because I figured it was an honest mistake, it didn't look noticeable at the time, and I appreciated her telling me upfront. I paid and went home. Once I got home his nose was bleeding and he kept licking his private. I took a closer look and saw that not only did they cut around his stomach, they cut the tip of his private and it was also red bleeding. I know that it is customary to do a hygienic clip during a groom but I specifically asked for nothing but the bath and NO CUT AT ALL. My poor dog is now having to wear a cone to prevent him from getting an infection where they cut his private. His nose is starting to heal thankfully but I'm still very concerned about his other injury. I'm disappointed and heart broken that my baby is suffering from something that never should have happened.

And she even added cute pigtails with bows. This business is busy (I'm glad- hope they remain around for a long time) so they book sometimes 2-3 months out, but don't let that deter you, just plan ahead or ask if they can place you on the waitlist. On the day of my appointment, I was nervous and scared, not sure if it was the right time. When they told me "Chas" would be my vet, I felt relieved. Because the last pet I euthanized was nicknamed "Chas," so I know the universe was telling me it was the right time and that my other pets were with me to greet her. I called scent hound first because of their great reviews on Google when I called I spoke with the…read moregeneral manager Dimetrious and I had a lot of questions and he helped me with every single one very enthusiastically and knowledgeable and even better they had availability the same day to wash both of my dogs. I dropped them off two hours later and the service from dropping off to picking up was five star. Scent hound is different than any groomer I have been to they focus on the overall wellness of the dog. Upon pick up Dimetrious went over on a scale of 1 to 5 all areas of my dogs hygiene their skin ears teeth throats nails and any areas of concern. They sell products as well if your dog needs them and also they have membership packages that are great if you bring your dog on a monthly basis or even biweekly. I enjoyed the service so much and I could tell that my puppies did as well so we signed up on the unlimited plan and I am very excited and happy to have found my new groomer for both of my puppies I could not be more happy and grateful to have found them.
