What a fun show!! I really enjoyed the entertainment. The tables and chairs were a little awkward. I'd rather have round ones, instead of the rectangle. It was difficult to really turn your chair and still see around the person sitting next to you. The service really sucked. I think there was only one waitress for the 250+ people there. She didn't get to us until 50 minutes after the show started. But, the show and actors were great.

1 of the best shows....watched it 2x w/family & friends via subsequent visits though.

Review #380: Walking down Memory Lane to 'Menopause the Musical,' Broadway show @ Harrahs, Vegas. (Will return to add pics later.) Definitely watched this show at least a couple times in subsequent year with friends and family. This hilarious Broadway/Comedy was showcased inside Harrahs, Las Vegas. The actresses were all extremely professional and performed their hearts out....since I'm writing these show reviews now, I must be missing out on an overdue trip to Vegas....

My out of town friends had some comped tickets for the show and called to see if I wanted to join them. I had seen the show ten years ago with my wife and I was bored and thought it was silly although I could appreciate how it applied to women and spoke to them. At first, I said I wouldn't go, but then I thought, "Why not?" We met for dinner at Harrah's where they were staying before moving to Green Valley Ranch, and after dinner, we had over 1/2 hour to be at the show. I noticed that Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley was part of the cast. This time, I watched the show with a different mind set. I wasn't expecting anything earth shattering story wise and I just enjoyed the vocal talents of the five women in the show. The story takes place in a department store and the women, individually or in groups, share their menopause stories. This cast is quite talented. There's not a whole lot of acting but the vocals are the important part for the show. The showroom is on the second floor at Harrah's. Our seats were against the wall and they became quite uncomfortable halfway through the show. I wanted to stretch my legs in some manner but there was nowhere to move them. I was glad I went to see the show again and I would recommend it!

I loved the music and entertaining cast! It's funny and relatable. A must see if you want to laugh

Great cast! I love musicals and I've seen many over the years including Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia, Lion King, and Miss Saigon are among my favorites but I've been putting off seeing this one, Menopause The Musical. It was supposed to be good, hilarious, and the parody of the songs entertaining... well, it was all of the above as my hubby and I watched it for the first time over the weekend on a Sunday showing. Saw ticket offers from $61 to $75/each but I purchased a Groupon deal for $89 for 2 people. For those women who are experiencing "change"... hot flashes, insomnia, memory loss, expanding waistlines, failing eyesight, night sweats, mood swings, well, there's nothing fun about these symptoms... until now! Clever parodies of popular songs from the 60's, 70's and the 80's kept us entertained as they made fun of aging woes. Songs included music like "Stayin' Alive" (Bee Gees), "California Girls" (Beach Boys), "I Got You, Babe" (Sonny & Cher) just to name a few. Four ladies: a professional woman, a soap star, earth mother, and an Iowa housewife took turns doing solos, dance numbers, and chorus numbers. While I had a great time my poor hubby had a difficult time understanding some of the issues and the topics. LoL! but he did enjoy the music! The cast was amusing and all were very talented and funny. I hope the soap star (one of the women on the cast) had her real hubby participate in the audience as she singled out a man in the center of the crowd and started to flirt and make sexual innuendos to him as part of her act. All in all a fun evening. There was audience participation at the end where the cast asked women to come up on stage and dance with them. They were then each given a small gift after the show. Hope I didn't give away too much as far as the storyline... well, there's really no storyline, just little scenes of symptoms relating to the characters on stage. Review #0455

Menopause The Musical is currently playing at the Harrah's Hotel, specifically the Improv Showroom. I came to see this musical this past Friday with my husband (yea I'm one of those wives who drags her husband to everything). I wanted to see this musical because I had heard so much positive things about it. But unfortunately, I found it to be a bit boring. The musical's main premise is transitioning into menopause. Now I am quite a few years away from menopause, but based on the main symptoms highlighted (brain collapse aka memory loss, hot flashes and weight gain) that were joked and sang about throughout the show makes me dread menopause even more. The musical takes place in a department store and 4 women basically talk (and sing and joke) about their difficulties with transitioning into menopause. The story line is rather lackluster and the acting is just okay. But the voices sung by 4 talented ladies is enjoyable. But with a slow and lack of story line, I didn't really enjoy the musical as much until towards the end (starting from the lingerie scene until the end). My husband, and a few other husbands as well who got dragged to this show by their wives (glad to know I'm not the only wife who does this) seemed to be playing on their phones and/ or surfing the net (free WiFi at this hotel). One thing that really annoyed me was that during the show, the men who were controlling the sound and lighting kept talking. This was not the first time Menopause was shown at the Harrah's and in the showroom, so I don't understand why there would be talking among the men on the appropriate time to cue up the volume and spotlights. With their conversation, I missed some dialog. With this show, I don't think it is worth paying full price. Make sure to check out cheaper tickets at one of those tix 2 night booths along the strip or on line. At first I thought maybe because I have not experienced menopause myself, but figured that the show needs a bit more work to it to make it a little funnier and maybe update the song choices. By the way, at the end of the show, the actors ask women to come up to the stage to sing and link arms with them. If you go up, you will get a little pin as a souvenir.

What an AMAZING show!! I was able to attend the show on Saturday, 3/09/19 with my Mom and sister. We basically sat 2nd row, center stage, so we were right there for all the action! The setting is informal, very club-like. The seats were very close together with a very small table for 4 people to share. It would have been much more comfortable if the tables were larger or at least spread out a bit, so you didn't feel like you were sitting on your neighbor. The service was also a bit slower than I am used to as it took about 15 minutes for two sodas to be delivered and the venue is quite small. With that said, I found myself totally lost in the music and the hilarious lyrics! The writers are spot on and I found myself literally belly laughing for most of the show! The cast was simply perfect! Cindy Williams is featured, so it was really cool to see one of my favorite ladies from a childhood tv show in person and she looked wonderful! (Booboo Kitty Forever!! ) She came in at perfect times during the story, but I wish she had been in more of the production. The other ladies in the cast were complete divas in the most complimentary way. Their voices were beautiful, their moves were flawless, and they made me laugh and laugh!! One of the highlights was the end of the show when they invited women from the audience on stage. I was hesitant at first, but went up when encouraged by my mom and sister. I was so glad that I did! So fun!! Definitely check out this show at Harrah's when visiting Vegas!

A friend and I attended An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live at the House of Blues…read morein the Music Hall at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on May 24. We were in town to attend the BTS concert on May 23, so this was a last-minute decision. As such, there were only five seats remaining for the May 24 performance. I ended up with two non-adjacent seats in Section 204 for a total of $831.85, purchased through TIcketmaster. We dined at Caramá by Wolfgang Puck, which is close to the House of Blues. We left the restaurant at 6:30pm, thinking we'd walk right in as our tickets "said" 7pm. Instead, we found a long line of patrons winding around the venue, almost to the escalators to the tram station. There was a sign stating that doors open at 7, performance at 8:10pm. Sheesh, had we known this, we could have taken our time in Caramá. After passing through security, we could go to the merch line or into the Music Hall. We opted for the merch line, where we picked up a t-shirt and a bag of guitar picks. Entry to the Music Hall requires walking down a set of stairs to the floor level and then up several sets of stairs to get to the upper level. Section 204 is accessed by walking down from the upper-level aisle. My friend went down to row B, seat 14, which was the aisle seat on her row. I was three rows back, in seat 12, the third seat in from the aisle. Each seat gave us unobstructed views of the stage down below. I really liked sitting in the upper level ... I think we had better views of the musicians than those sitting on the floor. There is a bar at the front of each side of the upper level of the Music Hall so one could get a drink without having to go back downstairs. Each did brisk business throughout the evening. Carlos and his 8-member band played for two hours. He took very little or no time between songs, but he did chat with the audience on two occasions. During this performance, he had a second keyboardist (I didn't catch his name) to the right of guitarist Tommy Anthony. His drummer, Cindy Blackman Santana, is a whirlwind ... She played nonstop during the evening with explosive power and energy. She was amazing! I really enjoyed his concert, maybe a bit more than the BTS concert the night before. Sacrilege? No, Santana has been active for sixty years. He is legendary ...It was a "not to be missed" opportunity to experience one of my heroes growing up. On a personal note: Carlos used a PRS Private Stock 24-fret McCarty Singlecut Trem with 23k gold leaf applied over the maple top. It's a stunning piece of art. PRS made twenty copies in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Private Stock team. Alas, I want one! If you have an opportunity to see Carlos Santana, do it! The Music Hall in the House of Blues is a perfect venue to experience a legend. Highly recommended!

Immersive shows that require audience participation are tough even in Vegas (ex: Disco Show closed down, same premise.) If your time slot group is small, everyone is shy or somehow Southern Baptist and don't believe in dancing, the experience is going to be not as fun. The show starts out as a reggae dance hall with a DJ and a bar. The drinks are super expensive. Make it more affordable and I think people will loosen up. Subsequent rooms have a fairytale quality in retelling the story of Bob Marley. If you didn't see his biopic prior to coming to the show, I'd advise doing that so you have the gist of the timeline of his life. The show is heavily dependent on how much you're willing to dance to the music with whoever else is with you. If everyone stands around while the performers dance around you, it's going to feel like a long show. When I went, I had just arrived back from a cruise to Jamaica maybe 2-3 days earlier. Of course I came back with a terrible sunburn and physically couldn't dance because my skin hurt so bad. Lol of course. I felt bad because I try to be a good sport so the performers don't feel bad if everyone isn't participating, but all I could do is sway. If you don't like to participate in shows, are very shy, don't like reggae this show isn't for you. If you like to dance and you're interested in Bob Marley, I'd go to this. Visited: October 2025
