Spent our Valentines night at Maxans and wow! Listening to the band on stage was such a treat, and I loved how they decorated the place and gifted us a single rose (the details matter!) The food itself was soooo great: we ordered the fried chicken, croquettes and two sushi rolls. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The friend chicken moist and seasoned right. The croquettes were a little larger than we expected, but fried just right! Definitely consider visiting them on your trip in!

I went to Maxan Jazz Club for a friend's birthday. When I walked in I was greeted by smiling faces who then asked if we were there for the party and we said yes and they directed us to where our tables were reserved. This shows that there was great communication and planning when my friend planned her party so the greeters knew where to direct us etc. It is a small venue with the focus on the live music and performances, so this is not a place for those who are looking for a quieter atmosphere. But is perfect for those who want to have some food, drinks, and enjoy entertainment! They even opened up the dance floor in the front for people to dance if they wanted. The lychee margarita that I had was delicious. Very strong lychee taste which made it incredible. :) Water service was slow, but it appeared to me that this was not due to a lack of attentiveness but rather because of staffing. I believe there was only 1 or 2 waitresses for the entire evening who did all of the tables. That is unfortunate food/drink orders, and drink refills were slow, but it is difficult when there are not enough staff. You could also walk up to the bar yourself to place an order, but would wait just as long for the food still. The sushi was high priced, but delicious. The sushi chefs used to work at Nobu and it showed based on the quality and presentation. Expect to pay a lot of money for food and drinks , but if you do not care too much about that and want to hear music, this place is good. There is only one bathroom because this place is small, so depending on luck, you may or may not end up waiting for the restroom. Just keep that In mind. My opinion about this is neutral. The restroom was clean, as was the rest of the club. The musicians that played when I was there were both entertaining and talented, keeping the audience engaged. It seems during musician breaks that there are different things. When I was there , there were people who would walk up to the front and speak about their business and there were also different business cards on the table and a raffle you could enter to win different things these solopreneurs were offering. I was not super interested in that part, but understood it appeared to be a part of this club's business model which was fine for me! I still had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday. I would come here again for a birthday or other event, because I feel this is an intimate and fun venue, but would probably pick a different place if I wanted to be able to easily hear conversation with friends/family or wanted a different kind of vibe. Please take into account when you visit the type of business model/vibe this club has :) but it was fun!

It's a fun concept that mixes jazz with Japanese food. They have different performers each day, you might want to check if you like the singer or band before you make the reservation. We are not impressive at the singer that night we dined in. But the band is good, and the guest singer (main performer's husband) is great. Loved his vocal and chilling style. The food is not the main thing here, remember you are here for the music. Nothing outstanding here when it comes to food. Salmon and scallops sashimi are good, but uni was a disappointment. Good service but it's more like a one time experience thing unless we have the performers we like in the future.

We've been to Maxan Jazz Club before and recently came back with our son and family, and it was just as amazing! The atmosphere is great, the music is incredible, and the food was delicious. We had such a fun time and will definitely be back again.

A very nice venue for jazz. Food was very fresh and delicious. We had Sushi rolls. Enjoy the size of the room where the entertainment is. Ryan Baker was the singer and he had the best 3 musicians in this town. Wow! He sang a variety of songs and has a very pleasant way about him. Nice voice. Certainly will return. Staff very accommodating and pleasant.

    Are kids allowed here?

It’s a restaurant, so open to all ages (you just have to be 21 to sit at the actual bar). I wouldn’t say it is necessarily made for kids (being a jazz club, the music is more adult centered and not meant to keep small kids entertained), however, we…

It has a very relaxed vibe.. order at the bar, find a seat, sing along! I'm used to karaoke bars that have private rooms, but it's an experience seeing people sing in front of the crowd! My husband and I shared a huge fishbowl cocktail that was deliciously dangerous, but the unexpected star of the show were their fries! I've never seen a potato cut like that and it's something I've never seen - imagine a potato wedge spiral that's not too thick, perfectly crunchy. We got the Parmesan truffle one and the sauce was so good! Cheese curds were also good! Some notes I picked up on.. it looks like you can reserve tables, bathrooms are the public restrooms outside, and it turns into 21 and older after 10 pm. On the Saturday night that we went, they had regular karaoke on stage with the song's music, then they switched over to karaoke with a live band which was pretty cool! The frequency response was uneven, and some frequencies were given too much emphasis while others were overlooked. This resulted in a dull and lifeless audio experience. The overall balance of the sound was lacking, and the sound system failed to bring out the full tonal range of the music being played. Additionally, the club's sound system lacked the necessary power to fill the space effectively. As a result, the system was forced to operate at high levels to deliver adequate volume, leading to further distortion and a diminished sound experience for the audience. In conclusion, the nightclub needs to make investments in their sound system if they want to improve the overall audio experience for their guests. This includes upgrading the components of the sound system, properly tuning and configuring the EQ, routing and cabling, investing in better loudspeakers and subwoofers, implementing acoustic treatment solutions in the club's space, and hiring a skilled audio technician to manage the sound system effectively. With a better sound system, the nightclub can create a more enjoyable and memorable experience for their patrons.

We were in town to attend the BTS concert on May 23, so this was a last-minute decision. As such, there were only five seats remaining for the May 24 performance. I ended up with two non-adjacent seats in Section 204 for a total of $831.85, purchased through TIcketmaster. We dined at Caramá by Wolfgang Puck, which is close to the House of Blues. We left the restaurant at 6:30pm, thinking we'd walk right in as our tickets "said" 7pm. Instead, we found a long line of patrons winding around the venue, almost to the escalators to the tram station. There was a sign stating that doors open at 7, performance at 8:10pm. Sheesh, had we known this, we could have taken our time in Caramá. After passing through security, we could go to the merch line or into the Music Hall. We opted for the merch line, where we picked up a t-shirt and a bag of guitar picks. Entry to the Music Hall requires walking down a set of stairs to the floor level and then up several sets of stairs to get to the upper level. Section 204 is accessed by walking down from the upper-level aisle. My friend went down to row B, seat 14, which was the aisle seat on her row. I was three rows back, in seat 12, the third seat in from the aisle. Each seat gave us unobstructed views of the stage down below. I really liked sitting in the upper level ... I think we had better views of the musicians than those sitting on the floor. There is a bar at the front of each side of the upper level of the Music Hall so one could get a drink without having to go back downstairs. Each did brisk business throughout the evening. Carlos and his 8-member band played for two hours. He took very little or no time between songs, but he did chat with the audience on two occasions. During this performance, he had a second keyboardist (I didn't catch his name) to the right of guitarist Tommy Anthony. His drummer, Cindy Blackman Santana, is a whirlwind ... She played nonstop during the evening with explosive power and energy. She was amazing! I really enjoyed his concert, maybe a bit more than the BTS concert the night before. Sacrilege? No, Santana has been active for sixty years. He is legendary ...It was a "not to be missed" opportunity to experience one of my heroes growing up. On a personal note: Carlos used a PRS Private Stock 24-fret McCarty Singlecut Trem with 23k gold leaf applied over the maple top. It's a stunning piece of art. PRS made twenty copies in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Private Stock team. Alas, I want one! If you have an opportunity to see Carlos Santana, do it! The Music Hall in the House of Blues is a perfect venue to experience a legend. Highly recommended!

Places I forgot to review when I lived in Las Vegas: Brooklyn Bowl…read more Brooklyn Bowl was both one of my favourite music venues in Las Vegas and one of the places I least wanted to go thanks to it's location. Originally when I first started coming here, parking was a huge issue on my mind and it definitely made me come here less, before I discovered that you could get parking validated at the little shop before you leave and that was a total game changer. The venue itself is pretty massive once you get on the main floor, and if you don't feel like standing during bands you don't care for, you can even chill on some nice chairs and watch on TV screens. Now, I can't actually comment on the bowling or food aspect of this place, but you can bowl for an insane amount of money that is definitely not worth it, as well as order some food which I simply never bothered to do. Throughout the years I've seen artists such as Poppy, The Gaslight Anthem, The Ghost Inside, Hatebreed, and many others and the sound here has always been pretty top notch. I no longer call Las Vegas home, but shows are one of the things I would definitely find myself back for so who knows, I might just return here one day and I look forward to that. Overall, Brooklyn Bowl is a great venue in a cool spot right on the Lynq Promenade. The staff here has always been friendly, parking is plentiful, there's tons of food options, and since it's mostly either here or the House of Blues, most music fans will end up here at some point!

Definitely, not the show for everyone, but if you do attend, definitely go with an open mind for a unique and erotic experience. We have always had good experiences in this venue with all shows we have seen here.

The decor was really nice & the bartender Anthony was friendly & chatty. I got a double Tito's in soda water which cost $28.18. It wasn't busy when we stopped in around 2130 but we did end up going over to the bar attached to it as there was live music that you can actually hear @ 24 Oxford. I will def. stop by here again. Thanks for great service Anthony!! :-)

Truly one of the best venues in town for not only acoustics, but ambiance and quality of shows…read more Every seat in the theater has a great view and it feels like you're right there with the audience. What really stood out to me was how efficient it was to actually access the theater and the lines moved very quickly. Make it a point to grab a drink beforehand. One hack is that they have the artist souvenoir store outside on the casino floor so you can buy your stuff at another point on your trip. I had the honor of seeing Adele and it still lives rent free in my head!

Went here for the Adele residency back in June and here I can say the only good part about this…read moretrip was seeing Adele herself, NOT the colosseum staffers. Colosseum staff is very rude and judgmental and very stuck up. The service is terribly over priced, 57$ for a small drink where the glass and ice takes up 75% of the drink itself!? Not to mention everyone there as well (audience) is very stuck up and rude as well we only met a few people who were greeting and happy to be there, the rest were as if they hated your guts seeing you walk by them. And more like it was a business trip to see the one and only Adele I remember being seated infront of an old woman and her son (I think) and asked her a question on where she got her Adele brochures with photos in it. She batted an eye at me and looked away not saying anything and her son or sugar baby at this point guided her away from me as if I was harassing her. Overall people are stuck up and staffers are rude and not professional at all, if you hate your job just quit simple.

We were given front row tickets to see Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson at this venue. First time…read morehere and it was an awesome venue. Getting in was easy, we got to our seats and it was very cool to be first row. The ENTIRE staff of this Venue were amazing, they were friendly, helpful and all really enjoyed being there and helping everyone get settled. Gladlys Knight, 81 years old and she put on a solid one hour show. She never sat down which is amazing, she did not move a lot as she is aging but the voice, spot on, her heart, so much appreciation for her fans and so grateful to be able to perform all these years and still get a sold out house. She is truly, a beautiful soul inside and out and so gracious. I would definitely go see her again as she sings like an Angel. Such an amazing woman with class and beauty. Smokey Robinson, I saw him a year ago at a different venue, only this time I was front row. One of Motown's best ambassadors ever. There will never be anyone from Motown who is as amazing, gracious and a true performer as Smokey. He is very personal and up close with his fans and is so grateful for each and every person who supports his and loves his music. This man is 86 years old and has the moves of a 50 year old. I wish I could move like him. A 2 hour show and he did not sit down once. He sang, he danced, he controlled that stage and he interacted with the audience. Age is nothing more than a number to Smokey, because he is AMAZING in every way. I am a HUGE Smokey Robinson fan and if I can see him again, I'm there. You can feel how genuine this man is and how much he loves to perform. He is one of the GREATS from the Motown era and is so loved. He has performed with so many and his Stevie Wonder impression is awesome as Stevie is one of his closet friends and it so cool they have been around for as long as they have. If you get the chance to see either Gladys Knight or Smokey Robinson, don't pass up the chance.

I had GREAT seats at that event. service: before the show starts there are some people who will direct you to your seat or what area you need to be in. the lines can be long before you can get drinks even with the multiple bars on the different levels. drinks: drinks were the normal drink price when come to an event. I was able to get a whisky and ginger ale. parking: it will be a pain if you dont get there an hour earlier. Get there early!
