If you come here, you're paying for the entertainment and not the food. My friend invited us to watch the jazz band perform anime / game songs with a hint of cartoons and 90s mixed in. The live music was amazing. It's too bad this band seems to only perform once or twice a year. Highly recommend them! As for the food - everyone is asked to buy at least $25 worth of food, and I would've paid that just to watch the band so it was a bonus. The food itself though is nothing to rave about. I got a $15 small piece of miso black code hand roll with some vinegar sugar rice wrapped in soy paper. I could've made it at home. The Japanese Mille crepe was decent, and I think not bad for the price. I wish they sold non alcoholic fun drinks (mocktails). I would've spent it on that and a dessert. Outside of the food being average and overpriced, the service was excellent! Our server was so diligent and always refilled our waters whenever it went down. I'd come back if any shows interested me but wouldn't go just for food. read more

It was a busy event, so it took a while to get acknowledged. However once I was acknowledged, the server was kind and efficient. Sushi was delightful. Decent. Chill vibes mostly. If you're ordering a cocktail, minimum is $25 for ONE drink...which could be enjoyed at a nicer, more upscale establishment. Or somewhere on the strip for that price. If you go during a busy event, be prepared. There's only two restroom stalls which equates to discomfort and long lines. Parking lot has a lot wanderers. Be cautious of your surroundings. read more

Spent our Valentines night at Maxans and wow! Listening to the band on stage was such a treat, and I loved how they decorated the place and gifted us a single rose (the details matter!) The food itself was soooo great: we ordered the fried chicken, croquettes and two sushi rolls. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The friend chicken moist and seasoned right. The croquettes were a little larger than we expected, but fried just right! Definitely consider visiting them on your trip in! read more

I went to Maxan Jazz Club for a friend's birthday. When I walked in I was greeted by smiling faces who then asked if we were there for the party and we said yes and they directed us to where our tables were reserved. This shows that there was great communication and planning when my friend planned her party so the greeters knew where to direct us etc. It is a small venue with the focus on the live music and performances, so this is not a place for those who are looking for a quieter atmosphere. But is perfect for those who want to have some food, drinks, and enjoy entertainment! They even opened up the dance floor in the front for people to dance if they wanted. The lychee margarita that I had was delicious. Very strong lychee taste which made it incredible. :) Water service was slow, but it appeared to me that this was not due to a lack of attentiveness but rather because of staffing. I believe there was only 1 or 2 waitresses for the entire evening who did all of the tables. That is unfortunate food/drink orders, and drink refills were slow, but it is difficult when there are not enough staff. You could also walk up to the bar yourself to place an order, but would wait just as long for the food still. The sushi was high priced, but delicious. The sushi chefs used to work at Nobu and it showed based on the quality and presentation. Expect to pay a lot of money for food and drinks , but if you do not care too much about that and want to hear music, this place is good. There is only one bathroom because this place is small, so depending on luck, you may or may not end up waiting for the restroom. Just keep that In mind. My opinion about this is neutral. The restroom was clean, as was the rest of the club. The musicians that played when I was there were both entertaining and talented, keeping the audience engaged. It seems during musician breaks that there are different things. When I was there , there were people who would walk up to the front and speak about their business and there were also different business cards on the table and a raffle you could enter to win different things these solopreneurs were offering. I was not super interested in that part, but understood it appeared to be a part of this club's business model which was fine for me! I still had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday. I would come here again for a birthday or other event, because I feel this is an intimate and fun venue, but would probably pick a different place if I wanted to be able to easily hear conversation with friends/family or wanted a different kind of vibe. Please take into account when you visit the type of business model/vibe this club has :) but it was fun! read more

It's a fun concept that mixes jazz with Japanese food. They have different performers each day, you might want to check if you like the singer or band before you make the reservation. We are not impressive at the singer that night we dined in. But the band is good, and the guest singer (main performer's husband) is great. Loved his vocal and chilling style. The food is not the main thing here, remember you are here for the music. Nothing outstanding here when it comes to food. Salmon and scallops sashimi are good, but uni was a disappointment. Good service but it's more like a one time experience thing unless we have the performers we like in the future. read more

Our first experience was the BEST experience. Our server was Brenden and he was amazing, kind, and fun. The band was awesome, the atmosphere so clean, chic, and modern. Loved the sushi! Highly recommend this place for a date or birthday celebration. They're charging $25 minimum food and drink to come here now. We were planning on grabbing a drink and watching spoken words, but got so turned off by the huge $25 minimum/person. Wanted to check out a small jazz club/lounge and found this little place. It exceeded our expectations. The music was top notch. Katrina was the singer and she was so much fun. And the food was great! We tried the Yellow Kama and Hot Mama roll. Also had the yellowtail sashimi and cucumber salad. Delicious! I'm SHOCKED this place has good ratings.... My friends and I walked in and we first noticed it smelled terrible and it was pretty hot inside. We gave it a chance still but decided we weren't gonna get any raw fish from here. The jazz band that was playing said they were taking a break and during the break, the restaurant had 80s dad rock music BLASTING!! It took away from the relaxing jazz experience we hoped for. (Also this place is too small for the loud af music along with groups cackling loudly, my friends and I were very overstimulated) We waited a while for our server, he finally came up, wiped his sweaty ass hand on his forehead and said "Have you been helped?" We said no and he said "well, I'm here!" and just stared at us!! Wtf??? No "hi hello how are you my name is ___ I'm gonna be your server"? We wanted a relaxing vibe night with good food and genuine jazz music. We were met bad smell and heat, with loud rock music, a sweaty unprofessional server, and also TERRIBLE fake AI ads on the screen that had nothing to do with the restaurant. I didn't know what to expect prior to entering but all I knew was that it was a Jazz Bar. When I got in I was greeted to live music with different renditions of popular music which is always fun and entertaining to me. All the chairs and tables are angled towards the stage so you'll easily be able to view and enjoy the live music. Alongside with music, they offer sushi and other Japanese dishes. And I will say that the sushi is actually really good here. It is even better than some other sushi locations because their quality is actually good. SO that was truly surprising. They have a variety of drinks here as well, but the interesting part to me was that they had a wide selection of quality sake which definitely paired well with the sushi and Jazz. They might have Japanese Whiskey as well based on what I saw but I couldn't confirm it with my near sighted eyes. read more

The atmosphere here is incredible. As I approached the building, I wasn't sure I was in the right place, but stepping inside was a complete transformation. The room is perfectly dimly lit, keeping the focus entirely on the talented jazz performers. I also appreciated that the tables were spaced well enough to allow for a private conversation. While the food felt a bit overpriced for the quality, the music more than made up for it. My girlfriend and I had a fantastic first experience with live jazz. read more

First time coming here for a special event for Tokyo Groove an all girl jazz group from Japan. The music was excellent. Service was good. We couldn't choose our food from the menu it was one fee $85 for a set menu. The food presentation good but the quantity of food was very minimum for the price. We got a soft crab appetizer, ground wagyu patty on a bun, 3slices of wagyu steak on a bowl of garlic fried rice and 2 mochi ice cream balls. I would have been happier selecting my own menu equivalent to the $85 price. I wanted to try out the sushi since I heard good reviews about how fresh the seafood is. I don't know if I would return on a preset menu event. read more

Came on a Thursday night to see Rita Lim. Ambiance was nice but nothing exceptional. Service was excellent as our waitress was friendly, polite and answered our questions. I had the yellowtail kama and rice which were excellent and satisfying. The yellowtail kama was a nice size and delicious, nicely grilled and moist. Can't eat this without rice! The venue itself is very low light & romantic feeling. The food is was wonderfully delicious! I had a spicy tuna roll & the cream crab croquettes, and both were exceptional. The portions were generous, and the quality was high! Presentation of the dishes was also A+. Service was fantastic from beginning to end. Found this hidden gem when looking for places to celebrate a birthday! The had an incredible jazz singer with a band that were amazing and we had delicious sushi for dinner while we watched them perform for a few hours. Delighted to discover a place that is serious about its Jazz, has comfortable seating, and outstanding sushi at affordable prices--though the cocktails were a bit pricey. It's about ten minutes off the Strip, west of the freeway, in an attractive stand-alone building, just off Flamingo Road. Service was attentive and friendly. No cover charge for the music--just a $25 minimum per person on food and beverage. The performers were local jazz composers and their friends--three sets, as part of a jazz "summit" event. So the music was primarily original (and excellent!) with a couple of standards thrown in. We will return next time we are in Vegas. read more

Oh man, I have been dying to come here! The food blew me out of the water, and the music was absolutely fantastic! We were a party of three, and shared almost everything. Left satisfied! We ordered; Miso cod, Yuzu chicken salad, uni pasta, takoyaki, A5 wagu beef, and a tempura assortment. We also ordered nigiri; sea bass, freshwater eel, ikura, Hamachi (yellowtail), Tuna, and Scottish salmon. The A5 wagyu beef was Japanese Wagyu. It is served with a hot stone to cook it on, which just elevates the experience even more! It is served with a little mushroom which is also so complementary. The beef was so decadent and just melted in my mouth. Overall the entire experience was worth the price. A fantastic extravagant night with beautiful jazz. Definitely will be coming back!
