I am new to the area and was looking for a program of some sort. I stumbled upon reviews for Burg Crossfit's Revive program but quickly learned it had already begun. Olivia invited me in to check out the gym to see if it could fit my needs. I had no Crossfit experience. I would not say I have ever been athletic. Walking into this gym was a bit terrifying. I could see all the equipment that it looked like I would hurt myself on. I saw exercises I had never done before. I write this now two months later. I am stronger, faster, have a much better body awareness, weigh less and not scared most of the time. The members and the trainers have been great, very friendly. And I cannot say how great it has been to work with Olivia!! She pushes me to work hard but in a good way. And we are always doing something new. The boring stuff- they accept credit cards. This gives me plenty of time to get home, eat breakfast, pack my lunch and shower before heading out the door. I arrived a bit early to do a little meet and greet with Becky. She gave me a run-down about what to expect and then we chatted a bit more about my goals, any injuries that might prevent me from doing a movement, and other information I would need to know in order to make my session as successful as possible. We also took a moment to take starting measurements to help track my progress over the next 21 days. During both our chat on the phone and in person, Becky made me feel at ease. Her warm and welcoming personality shined through- even when she made us do burpees later on in the session. As the other members of the group trickled through, everyone seemed pretty happy to be there. They too were welcoming, and very inspiring throughout the workout. I noticed that many of the women that were in this class (it was all women, however men are totally welcome, there just weren't any there that session!) were from all different walks of life- different ages, sizes, shapes, abilities. Throughout the 45 minute session (in between the sweat and burn!) there were lots of laughs, connections made, and support all around. Becky is what I call a sneaky trainer: her positive attitude, fun workout routines and motivating words make you totally forget what you're doing. By the time the session was over, it felt like it had just begun! Sneaky, sneaky. There were only a few movements I needed modification with, and Becky was quick to provide me with some options. She also took a lot of time monitoring the other clients, making sure their form was correct and that they were getting the most out of their session. We ended the workout with a great stretch session, and in the end I felt fantastic and was already thinking about what the next workout would be like. Structured Fitness has been central in both my fitness and lifestyle transformations. Working with…read morePhil taught me how to push myself beyond what I thought was possible and take a conscientiously healthy approach to life, not only in terms of diet and exercise but also in terms of how I perceive my own capabilities. Phil taught me that "a well conditioned body is a well conditioned mind." When I started with him, I weighed in at about 220 lbs (on a 5'7" frame), with most of the weight coming from body fat. Worse, I had no insight into my physical health and no drive to learn how to change things. I don't doubt I was one of Phil's tougher clients, but he was so patient throughout my time with him. Days when I was dragging or not pushing myself, Phil was able to use his positivity and encouragement to get me through my training. Now, I'm at a healthy weight for my height and I workout 5 days a week on my own. I'm grateful to Phil for helping me slim down, but what I really owe him for is changing my mindset from "who cares?" to "dedication+determination= transformation".

I remember seeing it on the hit TV show Shark Tank and it looked fun and different. Growing up I surfed the east coast and was sure that with this past experience it would help me. As I write this my calves and shoulders are still screaming at me. First, I tried their Surffit Burn class taught by Pamela this sites proprietor. There is no way to explain the burn from diving onto a surfboard held by three stability balls. It is a constant motion. I am in love with it already, I can feel my body changing. The next night still being sore I thought I would try the Surffit Yoga class, sounded much easier. Again, I was wrong it was harder. I enjoy trying new ways to work out and this is by far my favorite and feels like I'm getting the best results. One their website it mentions your first class it $5 I would recommend trying it out!

I opted for the boot camp version over the personal training, price being the main factor. The facility is new, placed in the former Shapes location with all new materials and all new equipment. The boot camp classes are offered several times a day, 3-5 in the morning and a few in the evening as well, making it easy for everyone. My favorite coach is Coach Kristy, she's really energetic, very positive and encouraging. She makes you know that you CAN do what she wants you to do, even though you think you're about to die. So far, my favorite class has been Boxing day.
