Pine View is a nice little course to play if you're in the area. The prices for a round of 9 during…read morethe week are pretty average, and there's a smaller, cheaper par 3 course (the Little Pine Nine) to play if that's your thing. The driving range is standard, but they have an automatic ball machine right next to the range so you can skip the clubhouse altogether. They take pretty decent care of the course, though the Little Pine course is much rougher. Fairways are nice and short, and everything is well-watered. I've played both the back and front nine, and while they're hugely different, both are fun to play. I enjoyed them as a very very new golfer, but so did my father, who's been playing much longer. A few words of advice, though-- call ahead to find out when the leagues and private lessons are. We got stuck once behind a group of women practicing after their private lesson, and it was horribly frustrating. We waited nearly 20 minutes for them to play a par-3 hole. Also, wear bug spray. Not a little dab. Not a little tea tree oil. I mean about three quarts of high-DEET deep-woods-off. The mosquitoes are absolutely vicious, especially on the back 9 and the Little Pines, which are shadier courses.

He was a white older man with short brown hair. He said that he was "warning me that I was aggravating them" even though I simply threw the ball back over to the people who asked and they were happy. Then I was on the grass next to the sidewalk (not fairway) and he told me that I needed to get on the sidewalk while he drove across the fairway to tell me this?? Does that make sense? Even though he drove on it to scold me, another 5-6 group of boys were on it the fairway at other holes and he didn't tell them anything. Completely disrespectful and distasteful. I used to work at Eagle Crest, so I know the rules, thank you very much and I am absolutely disgusted with management. Go across the street.

We joined as golf members in 2018, unsure if we would use the course enough for it to be worth it,…read morebut have absolutely loved being members. The course really isn't all that busy so it was easy to get out most of the time. That meant that I could get a lot of golf in with my 7-year-old son who is just learning to golf. The course was in really good condition for most of the year and took a bit of a step back after golf season, but that's fine with me given that the money raised there goes to make the membership a lot more affordable. The course has a lot of variety and is quite had in places, so there is a lot to keep you coming back for. The restaurant is also very good. We enjoyed taking our kids there throughout the year.

The concussive impact while I was in motion driving sounded like my car had been shot with a gun. Had any of these golf balls hit a person in the head they would likely be dead. Police report made with Ann Arbor city police. I went over to The Ann Arbor Golf and Outing and spoke with the *district manager* who was there on duty sitting with a group of men at the golf clubhouse bar. I requested a word with him and showed him the fresh damage to my vehicle. He stated that they have no contingency plan to prevent balls from going over their fence and striking cars or people saying it just happens sometimes with bad shots. I pointed out that once should be more than enough to look into preventative solutions and that other vehicles had been struck by different golf balls in the same time frame as Ann Arbor Police were already on scene taking report from other drivers who's vehicles were struck and damaged while driving down the busy city street. I reminded the Golf and Outing Club manger that the stretch of E. Stadium Blvd directly in front of them is also directly in front of The University of Michigan's Big House Stadium and is frequented regularly by an enormously high volume of pedestrians including children on a daily basis. When I asked him directly if preventative safety would be initiated by him now alerting the golfers to be careful, the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing Club district manager laughed saying that they were currently having a tournament and he would absolutely *not* tell his golfers to shoot more carefully. Clearly transmitting and demonstrating the attitude of not caring at all about the avoidable danger the Ann Arbor Good and Outing district manager then just strolled away from me back to the golf clubhouse bar. Speaking with my auto insurance provider I am told the smallest amount of money it is going cost to repair my completely totaled windshield will be $500 out-of-pocket. For our household that is not insignificant. Maybe it is laughable for the district manager at the Golf and Outing golf club and its members, but it's certainly not a joke for our single mother household. Anyone who golfs there should understand completely that Ann Arbor Golf & Outing Club is fully aware and not at all bothered or concerned about pedestrian safety or automotive safety whatsoever. Someone is going to get seriously injured/die from being struck with a golf ball unless the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing Club agrees to address their safety failure. The fact that they were so nonchalant in caring or expressing any care about safety of people on a public street really was shockingly impressive.

He suggested that we play hole 13, then finish on the nearby hole 18 and get a raincheck for nine holes. I was baffled, the weather had become very sunny, I paid for and wanted to play an entire round. I did notice, however, that there were no golfers behind us. Why? The staff decided that their personal aspirations were far more important than doing the job they signed up for. They effectively "shut down the course" because they felt the power to do so. After the round I drove by two courses that were very active with business. Just a horrible experience!

I advise maybe getting someone more professional that actually knows proper phone etiquette throughout the entire phone call not just their little intro, especially at a golf course. Not the best way to make people want to attend your establishment, taking my business elsewhere!!

The management replied promptly and offered to bring us back for Mother's day. Four of us visited again for Mother's Day. (Not the whole brood) if you read my previous review, the following may make more sense. Smaller tables (including us) are sat in the dining room that features a beautiful large bar in the center. The bar seats many and is elevated from the dining room. The dining room has high windows that overlook the golf course, with a fireplace and is so much quieter. When passing through the buffet/large party room, to our table, it was a madhouse. Large tables, large families and lines of people at the food stations. The brunch at Polo Fields is popular. The food is excellent. The service was a marked improvement this visit. We saw the same waitress throughout our visit. Water and coffee was filled by an assistant that was on top of the refills in the room. We also enjoyed the drink specials available. Crepes, smoke salmon, salads, prime rib and ham, but don't forget the wall of desserts! This visit, there were always plates to be had and hot coffee in our cups. It was excellent food and a wonderful brunch experience. Our meal was comp but we paid for the drinks and my husband tipped her generously (~$40) as we would have if charged. Thank you Robert and Polo Fields for having us back. Highly recommend their special occasion brunch.

I put down a deposit of 50% of the total cost as requested by the fitter. On February 23rd , got a call from the fitter telling me MOG couldn't order the shaft without 100% of the total cost prepaid. The new delivery date was a week to ten days from the 23rd. I waited a week and called to check the status of my order. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes while the person checked. She came back on the line and said the person whose job it is to order shafts had forgotten to do so. At this point the fitting was over two weeks ago, without any action by MOG. The young woman apologized and said the shaft would be ordered the next day, with an expected delivery in a week. Of course, that didn't happen. Long story short and over a dozen phone calls to MOG I was able to pick up my new driver shaft on March 19th. Remember how I said I'd paid 100% in advance for my order? The counter guy apparently didn't know the process and couldn't read the computer properly so he tried to charge me again for the shaft. I said I'd already paid for it. He said, "How do I know that?" Fortunately, he managed to figure out the MOG computer system that showed I had indeed paid 100% in advance. The good news is the MOG fitter did an excellent job and I'm extremely happy with my new driver shaft. The bad news is the MOG retail staff is poorly trained in how to get answers to questions regarding special orders. The bottom line, for me, is that after a couple of decades of doing business with MOG, including getting fitted for a set of irons and a complete driver fitting prior to my latest purchase, I'm not going back to MOG for anything, not even to hit range balls.
