Pure heaven on earth! The location is fantastic and Karen is a true gem. Rooms were very thoughtfully stocked and exquisitely clean. Highly recommend!

This was a fun and interesting place to stay. My wife and I definitely enjoyed the privacy, the comfortable bed, the amenities (more on those in a minute), and the view. The reason I mentioned privacy is that you have your own little cabin. So right there, that's a big selling point to me - no neighbors to speak of. I mean, sure someone could be occupying the cabin across from you, but still, it's not like you're sharing a wall by any means. And the place itself is a bit away from the center of town, but the location is still great because it's convenient to the town of Sonoita (and/or Patagonia, which is another interesting and fun town). I liked the tour of the facility that I got when I arrived. She did a great job showing me around, explaining how things work, how to lock the door, all that, that was an excellent orientation, and she was personable (I wish I could remember her name though). Now, the room/cabin. We chose Casita room #1, and we were happy with it. The bed was very comfortable, the heating/cooling worked well, it has a really nice view out the back (like out the kitchen window in particular but the whole back side has a nice view), and you have plenty of amenities, especially the kitchen/food related items. You have almost a full kitchen. I mean, like an actual STOVE with pots and pans! You can cook your own breakfast easily in here (or obviously cook other things), there's even a toaster. And a full size refrigerator too, so you can bring food and/or store plenty of wine. And the kitchen area has a table, so you can actually eat IN the kitchen, you don't have to try to figure out how to eat on your bed or on the couch. Oh yeah, there's a couch in between the bedroom and kitchen. Satellite television with plenty of choices. I know, I mentioned the view, so why would you be watching television? In our case, it happened to be unusually cold and rainy weather in Sonoita over New Year's weekend 2021/2022. The bathroom was fine, this may be the one area in which maybe a few improvements would make this place even more enjoyable. The shower is a little quirky. And by "quirky," I mean it's not all that easy to figure out exactly how to maneuver the handle/knob in order to get both the right temperature and pressure out of the shower (it's a kind of small shower). I mean, there's really nothing wrong with the water pressure, but the temperature can be tricky to figure out - it's a single handle that tilts. Also, maybe replace the bathroom rugs. But that's a small nit. Overall, this was a very enjoyable place to stay and we'd stay there again in Sonoita.

Enjoyed my quick weekend getaway at Xanadu Ranch. One hour from Tucson, lovely drive, beautiful setting, clean and tidy accommodations. I would definately recommend this place. I stayed in the Bunkhouse which was roomy and clean with convenient parking.

Xanadu Ranch at sunset on the patio!

We spent a few days before Thanksgiving at Xanadu Ranch.....our second stay there in a couple of years. We were in Casita #1 which we always enjoy because it's quiet and comfortable, with a great view of the area to the west. We sat on the patio the first night and happened to catch a spectacular Arizona sunset! The area surrounding the ranch is gorgeous also......there were a couple of the wineries in the area open so we did the sampling tour as well. You really can't go wrong staying here.....the host Karen is very friendly and will do anything to make your stay the best!

The suite itself was beautiful, we stayed in the Agave (each of their rooms have a desert themed name) and we really enjoyed the large private balcony overlooking the desert on the back of the room. On the front there was a shared balcony with one other suite where we had a perfect sunset view and talked with the people staying next door and shared Tucson experiences and local business recommendations. They have a large collaborative living room and kitchen as well as a shared pool and multiple rooftop balconies for panoramic desert views and mingling with other guests. We struggled to open the keypad to the main living room and within minutes the owners Sarah and Rich were helping virtually and their on site manager Mariah came over to let us in. I absolutely recommend this beautiful desert experience! Looking forward to staying again soon.

From the moment you walk through the magical corridor, you are mesmerized by the original art on the walls (painted by the namesake of the Hacienda)...you know there is something alluringly unique about this place! Come to find out it is what compelled Nissa's Mom to buy this magical place! The main house is artistic, inviting and homey chic. Our room was tucked away just enough to still feel apart of this warm hug of a Casa. The huge windows showcase the ridiculously stunning view of their property and just stepping outside you are audience to a melodic concert of birds, cows, bees and other delights galore! Cocktail hour was just perfect, complete with homemade chips, fresh guacamole, yummy wine and engaging conversation. Nissa shared her families story with such love and detail, what a gift! Our breakfast of powdered sugar dusted, artistic fruit ladened Dutch pancakes with thick cut bacon the next morning was ridiculously scrumptious and lovingly made by Nissa, she is extremely multifaceted in her array of talents! To my delight, Nissa fit us in on a holiday weekend no less for a sunset horseback ride. Emmanual, the resident cowboy and Ranch guru, is an absolute gem of a human, brotherly vibe from the moment we met him. The ride around the property blew us away, from a mini cattle drive, weaving through trees and brush, then making our way up to a sweet vantage point to catch the sunset. Truly a way to feel even more connected to this Hacienda! The adventure continued with Emmanual the next day when we had a spontaneous roping lessons by the pool and a shared cookout where we were honored by the presence of Nissa, Jeff, Rain and even the pups joined! Flawless experience that I look forward to repeating and most definitely will be back!
