Pro trip for my fellow road warriors: next time you have an unbearably long layover at O'Hare, grab your carry-on and head to Xanna for a little pre-flight pampering. It's about a 10-15min Uber from the airport (approx $20 ride) and within a short walking distance of several independently-owned restaurants. I made an appt for an online package (pedi, no-chip mani, blowout and mini-facial for $160) but added on some services and walked out the door for about $300, tip included. Money well spent in my mind as I needed the services anyway and it got me out of the airport for the afternoon. Hanna gave me a wonderful facial personalized to my needs and I felt very comfortable with her. She had a fantastic associate (I feel awful b/c I forget her name) who did my nails/blowout. She was very cognizant of my time to make sure I made it back to my connection. The salon is nice...just what's needed-no more no less. I will note that the bldg mgmt (not in the salon) needs to do some updates to the ladies room. But, there's complimentary wine...so I let it go:) I left feeling happy, beautiful and ready to take on my 10-hr flight! read more

I had my first facial with Hannah yesterday, and she did a tremendous, thorough job. She didn't rush and the extractions were painless but very effective. My skin is glowing today. Hands down the best pedicure I've received in years. Luscious spa products that don't cause an allergic reaction in my skin, beautiful OPI polishes, a long and relaxing massage and nail polish that doesn't budge for weeks..which is an amazing feat for someone who works out 4 days a week. The salon is warm and inviting with a great progressive dance music coming through the speakers. Hannah and staff are very friendly and welcoming. This little Edison Park gem is not to be missed. The salon was fairly nice, but pretty dark (how can you see what you're doing). Place was super affordable at $35 for a wash and haircut. Didn't get a blow dry because it was so hot out. Eva was extremely nice, however my hair is a disaster! Left side is a perfect chin length bob with long layers. Right side is a long wedge. Uneven. Puffy. It's really bad. Should have waited to go to my girl downtown. You get what you pay for... I'd rather pay $100 for a haircut that always looks good, even 4 months after or wait. Will never go back. Options right now are wait for a grow out or go short. read more

I had my hair cut by Eva for the second time last weekend and I am officially a huge fan of her and of this salon. They got me in on a Saturday morning with pretty short notice. When I got there, the owner took my coat and hung it up and offered me coffee and cookies which was really nice and unexpected. I waited for maybe 5 minutes and then Eva took me right on time at 11 a.m. She makes you feel very comfortable and is very friendly but not overly talkative. Best of all, a great haircut is only $35 which is not much considering some other salons in the area are getting away with charging $60!!! I will be moving out of the Edison Park area in the summer but will definitely keep coming back here for my haircuts. It's not easy to find a reasonably priced place with a stylist who is as nice and awesome as Eva! read more

Love. ... love. .. I was basically a walk in at 4.45pm on Saturday, they close at 6pm. I received a trim from an amazing stylist who was a bit chatty but gave me the best trim EVER!!! She maintained my style and did not over cut like most stylist do. Xanna was patient and warming throughout the service. I started with a full leg wax that turned into a bikini, under arm and brow wax..... that was all trust and comfort in her! The session went over 2 hours and we left together after 8.15pm... best service! !! It's nice not feeling rushed and to be able to add more services. She could have said "no" as most spa owners do when it's closing time. Highly recommend and the price was more than reasonable for all the services I received!! I will definitely be back!!!! read more

This salon is a hidden gem! I've tried many salons in park ridge and edison park. Xanna is top notch on my list. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxing. My stylist, Sam transformed my hair to look glamorous and vibrant. It's Soooo refreshing to find someone who can cut Asian hair! I'm very happy with my new style! Long story short I'm a disabled person, and the owner of the salon mocked me the entire time while she did my hair, and made fun of me for it! If you care about humanity don't give this lady your HARD EARNED money! Now yo the longer version... Most akward salon experience I ever had from the moment I walked in! I walked up to the lady behind the counter I think she was owner not sure. I said I have an appointment. She goes you do? I said yea at 11am I booked online. I said sry I'm about 10min early. She goes ," you should have called to confirm!" Then I show her the confirmation email on my phone and she goes well you still should have called to confirm." I said sry thought the email was my confirmation? She goes you booked today so I didn't look. Well I'm thinking what's the point of online scheduling if you schedule and the people don't even bother to look! Then I explained to her how I have chronic health issues that was in the hospital several days and that's why my hair is a little mangled and knotted. She began belittling me and talking down saying you should be doing your own hair you shouldn't go to the salon for this! I wonder then why did she even open a salon then if "we should all be doing our own hair" LMFAO! She reluctantly proceeded to do my hair, and then to add insult at the end one of the other stylus complemented my hair saying wow you have really nice hair, and then the lady who styled my hair said yeah took way longer than I should've worked on it for!! How you treat a customer like that. and think they're actually coming back is beyond me I do not know how this place gets so many stars on yelp they literally will make fun of you if you're disabled and tell you do your own hair, and why are you even here! Then why are you guys even a salon if you don't want people to come in? Over and over again while I sat in the chair I was told by the lady oh my God your hair is so knotted how am I going to comb this like! making me feel so terrible after I explained I was just in the hospital, and that's why my hair is tangled that's just not acceptable to make the customer feel so uncomfortable the whole time they're doing their hair because all you're saying is oh my god this is so terrible how my going to do this! Will not be back! Hair looks good that's why 1 start, ! But zero for customer service skills! read more

I started coming to this salon for a quick eyebrow wax. Now I am in love with everything about this place. Hannah continues to wax my brows amongst other things including lip, arms, and bikini. She has also done a few facials and let me tell you-- they are AMAZING (relaxing and she uses the best products). I also go to Vicki for my mani/pedi. She is a kind lady and a meticulous nail tech.
