We booked the All-Day Lower Loop Summer Tour and had a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Rue,…read morewas incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about Yellowstone. We visited on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised that the park wasn't too crowded. Because of this, we had extra time for a few additional stops along the route, which was a great bonus. All of the stops were amazing, especially Old Faithful and Artist Point. We were also lucky enough to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including a grizzly bear, black bear, bison, elk, and more. One thing to note is that most stops are about 20-50 minutes long, so there isn't a lot of time to fully explore each area or purchase food. Our group chose to include lunch through the company, and it was more than enough for lunch. I would suggest to bring some snacks if you're a snacker. I loved the water bottle design they provided and ended up bringing it home as a souvenir. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yellowstone!

The staff in the office were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The snowmobiles were in great shape and work flawlessly! Our guide, Roy, did a super job! He gave us clear instructions on how to use the machines and the 'rules of the road.' Along the way he stopped at the interesting/beautiful locations and taught us many interesting facts. He is an outstanding guide! Very entertaining. I would definitely rent from them again. And a special thanks to Kennedy for all his help too!

Five stars - It's Yellowstone, how could I give it anything less?…read more I'll keep this simple. There are moments in this park that you will feel like you are on another planet. The geysers and the hot springs are surreal. My favorites spots were the Grand Prismatic Spring, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Fountain and Artist Paint Pots. I saw elks, bison, grizzly bears, and a wolf. My recommendations are: visit during off season (if you can), book a guided tour if it is your first time in the park, and get the America the Beautiful Pass.

Pros: 1. The…read morelandscape is absolutely stunning. Anywhere you turn there's a picturesque shot waiting to be captured. 2. The park is huge and deserved to be explored through and through. 3. Watching animals in their natural habitats and not in an enclosure is magical. 4. All the Yellowstone rangers are super helpful and ready to help if you're lost and not sure how to get to your destination. Cons: 1. The biggest cons to Yellowstone and the reason why I can only give the park 3 stars instead of 4 are the parking nightmares and lack of bathrooms, especially in the high-profile attractions. There is just no excuse for that when there's plenty of space to build more parking lots and bathrooms. 2. Somewhat related to #1, because the roads only have one lane for each direction, traffic logjams often occur when long lines of cars are formed trying to get into a parking lot that's already full. And since there's only one lane, it's not really possible to go around them if you're just trying to go straight. 3. Food pretty mediocre and extremely overpriced.

Dale's knowledge of the park - its history, its wildlife and its geology - was worth every penny. The van was comfortable and allowed for easy viewing of the park. We never felt rushed at any of the stops. Even the breakfast and lunch were good! Dale is very friendly and an easy person to spend the day with. He treated us as if we were long-time friends. I have zero complaints but lots of great memories of our day touring Yellowstone.

He's been a geologist and professional wildlife photographer for 30-40 years. His wealth of knowledge about everything in Yellowstone is what takes this tour to the next level that other National Park tours don't even come close to touching. This tour is worth EVERY penny. Along our tour, we saw a bald eagle, many buffalo, mountain goats that were right next to the road, elk and deer. Dale was shocked that we didn't see any bears that particular day because they are so common. We saw waterfalls, canyons, geysers and way more. The only downside is that we wish we had more time to tour the rest of the park.

If it's within your budget, I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Ecotours…read more Our guide, Ben, was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Yellowstone and the surrounding area. He was also incredibly patient with our rambunctious kids, which made the experience much more enjoyable for our family. The snacks throughout the day were excellent and thoughtfully selected. The offerings ranged from blueberry muffins (which tasted like they may have come from a local bakery) to bison jerky. Sodas, tea, hot chocolate, and French press coffee were available throughout the tour. Hot drinks were served in stainless steel travel mugs, and water was provided in reusable water bottles that we got to keep--a nice touch that fit well with the company's environmental focus. Lunch was fantastic. The Mediterranean and elote salads were generous enough that we wished we had a way to take leftovers home. The mufaletta sandwich was piled with a generous amount of lunch meat and cheese. The kids also enjoued their PB& Js. The brownies were absolutely divine. We also appreciated that the meal was served in stainless steel bento boxes with real silverware rather than disposable containers, which felt very consistent with Ecotours' name and mission. I can't forget to mention the washable tablecloth and napkins. We enjoyed the viewing hatches on the vehicle. While we only had one opportunity to get close enough to wildlife to really use them, they were a fun feature. Our kids especially loved being able to see out the back windows and open them for a better view. Overall, the tour was well organized, comfortable, and family-friendly. The combination of excellent guiding, great food, thoughtful amenities, and a commitment to sustainability made it a memorable Yellowstone experience.

Laura is the Yellowstone Whisperer…read more We had the absolute BEST day with her!! She took such good care of my family of 12! We saw the sulfur pools and learned so much more than just reading the signs. She provided thermometer guns so the kids could see the variation in temp from pool to mud pot to steam vent. She timed our arrival at Old Faithful PERFECTLY! We waited just 10 minutes and watched from a much better spot than the general viewing area (and learned that an average blast can fill 150 bathtubs!!). We stopped at Old Faithful Inn and the Lake Lodge. We saw Firehole Falls and the Lower Falls. We lunched in a beautiful, shaded picnic area with truly DELICIOUS sandwiches and HOMEMADE cookies!!! We spent over 11 hours trekking 270 miles total from our vacation home in Big Sky into the park and back. It was a total gift for everyone to be able to enjoy all the scenery and learn along the way and not have to drive. I ALMOST FORGOT!! We saw a GRIZZLY swim across the river! Plentiful Bison (they are such MASSIVE creatures), Laura pointed out Osprey nests, a pelican!! And so so much more!! It will be hard not to do Yellowstone this way EVERY trip. He was so knowledgeable about the geological history of Yellowstone it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia with us. He treated us all with kindness and respect, which was I'm sure difficult sometimes with loud and inquisitive kids! He was patient with my 75 year old mom and accommodating when something proved too taxing. I loved how he also let us expereince things on our own too. We walked around Old Faithful just the 4 of us and a few other places too. The highlight had to be the wolf we all caught on his INCREDIBLE binocs! I seriously was blown away by how good they were! He also provided a delicious lunch for us and we enjoyed his company on our picnics. We booked Moses for two days and his van was as spotless the second day as it was the first. I was impressed after a 13-hour day, he still cleaned it all out of our dirty shoeprints and restocked the water so that we could start fresh the next day. Thank you for the incredible memories, Moses! We saw Yellowstone how it was meant to be seen in two days, and it definitely inspired us to come back and camp there to experience it even more.
