After searching up tour companies in west Yellowstone, I came across this place. Easy to book on their website and they offer reasonably priced summer tours. Buy the insurance on your tickets as we needed to use it due to some flight schedule changes. On the day of our tour, Gypsy was helpful and gave us great information. Also go ahead and buy the lunches they offer because finding food at the park will be just as much as spending if not more. Love that they do hotel pickup if you are near a hotel by the park. Highly recommend.

We had the best snowcoach, a "turtle top". Very comfy!!

My family and I booked a snowcoach trip through the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone through Two Top Snowmobile rental. We were lucky to have "Elizabeth" (real name Rachel, but there are multiple Rachel's so ours goes by Elizabeth for name tag and work purposes) be our guide. From the moment she picked us up at our hotel, she was AMAZING. She was informative, funny, knew so much about the park and its animals & thermal features, and admitted if there was something she didn't know and said she would research it. But I think that was only one thing. She was just a delight. We had such a wonderful day thanks to her.

Ok. A spiritual moment. And some concern too. But Tay J knew what we should do. This is not zoomed in! Just wow!

What a spectacular day! Less than a week ago we wondered if there would be any snow. We are so thankful! Yellowstone Vacations was superb. The snow suits, boots, and helmets were top notch. Then the brand new 900 ski doos were pristine and worked perfectly. Then there is Tay J, our fun, professional, knowledgeable guide. She really made the 8 hours together. Make sure to take neck and face covering. I wish I had mittens instead of classic ski gloves. My fingertips were the only things that got really cold in low 20s weather. I had 2 layers in before the snow suits. I could have used a sweatshirt with a hood but it wasn't miserable. The scenery in winter-I wish all my loved ones could do this!!!!

For the first time at Yellowstone, I really enjoyed this guided tour. Very educational with the most amazing stops along thr way. This was perfect for our start, because the next day we returned to Yellowstone in our own vehicle, and knew what we wanted to see again or what we wanted to see that we didnt see on the tour. Highly recommend for first timers or if you just want someone else to drive for you.

The guide, Matt, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable! He made sure that we enjoyed our trip and was very patient and kind.

I originally planned on staying inside the park in a cabin near the Old Faithful geyser. Everything was going according to plan until it was time for me to arrange my excursions. I wanted to visit a canyon in the park nicknamed "The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" but all of their excursions to that location were booked months ahead of time. I really wanted to see it and in my despair felt like canceling my whole trip until the customer service rep recommended that I contact a company named Yellowstone Fun. I called Yellowstone Fun and talked to a down to earth guy named Charlie Thomas. I explained my situation and to say that he helped me out would be a major understatement. And yes, he had an available slot for the excursion to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone! Even though it was already September and my vacation was planned for December, he meticulously arranged everything except for my flight (which I'd already set up myself). He set up a package for me that when all was said and done cost me about $1028. I had to finish paying for everything by the end of October. Here's what my package included: 1) A shuttle to take me to West Yellowstone, MT from the airport in Bozeman, MT and back once my vacation was over: West Yellowstone is about 90 miles from Bozeman. The shuttle company is named Karst Stage. 2) Four-night lodging at Three Bear Motel in West Yellowstone along with a free breakfast each morning at the Three Bear Restaurant in the motel. He also gave me a coupon for one free prime-rib dinner at the restaurant. 3) A Yellowstone park pass that covered each of my trips into the park: You need to have a park pass whenever you enter Yellowstone National Park. 4) Snowcoach excursions for three separate tours into Yellowstone National Park: A company called Alpen Guides provided the snowcoaches and drivers. 5) A ticket to the IMAX Theatre in West Yellowstone Charlie Thomas sent me an email explaining in detail everything I paid for. The email also included printable maps of the town and the park. There were also recommendations on what to wear in order to stay warm and this humorous bit of advice: Never eat yellow snow where the buffalo have roamed. Everything seemed so easy and good to be true that I was skeptical at first and kept calling him before I caught my flight out there. I was so used to having to set up each part of my vacation by myself. But it all went according to plan and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I ended up being there from Sunday, 12/16/2018 - Thursday 12/20/2018. Charlie even told me about a hotel I could stay in near the airport since my flight wasn't scheduled to leave until the afternoon of 12/21/2018. That hotel was a separate entity and wasn't a part of the package he arranged but him recommending that hotel saved me from having to spend hours at the airport before my flight home. If you ever want to visit Yellowstone and do it in style, I recommend Yellowstone Fun. In addition to what I've told you about, you can also rent snowmobiles from them and ride that instead of the snowcoach. I'm rating Yellowstone Fun five stars. Unfortunately, the first pullover started developing pulls almost immediately. One particularly long pull in the front snagged on something as minor as my cuticle--something that shouldn't even be possible. I also noticed additional pulls on the back, even though I had been careful with it. When I went into the store to discuss the issue, an employee was empathetic and directed me to the manager. However, the manager--a brunette helping a customer with ski goggles--was completely dismissive. When I explained the situation, she responded with, "Oh, it must have pulled on something." I acknowledged that it caught on my nail, but I was shocked that such an expensive pullover would be so fragile. Rather than offering any assistance or even engaging in a conversation about product quality, she quickly shut it down, saying they couldn't do anything since I had already had it for a few days. For a store selling high-end outdoor gear, I expected better durability and customer support. Spending around $130, I at least hoped for a discussion about quality assurance or a possible exchange. Instead, I was met with indifference. It felt like they cater more to tourists passing through than to customers who actually care about their purchases. If you're looking for durable gear from a store that stands behind its products, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I'll definitely be back here next time I need tuning work done.

We kicked things off on what was supposed to be a "warm‑up run," but joke's on us, it was long, challenging, and honestly kind of brutal... in the best possible way. These runs are no joke and some of the longest I've ever ridden. But once the legs woke up, the rest of the day just flowed. Endless terrain, great snow, and barely any crowds. Absolute bliss. Since the cost of the tours was included in a vacation package provided by a travel company, I'm not sure about Alpen Guides' specific prices. This review is based on how much I appreciated the tour itself. I went on two tours to Old Faithful & one to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The Grand Canyon tour included a box lunch. The Old Faithful tour didn't include a meal but you could purchase something to eat at the Old Faithful visitor's center restaurant if you wanted to. I was so excited about riding the snowcoaches! In Yellowstone, snowcoaches are a normal mode of transportation during the winter but I'd never ridden one or even seen one in person before. In lieu of regular tires, the back portion of a snowcoach has tracks like a tank & the front part has something that resembles skis so it can plow through the snow. The reason why I was so anxious to ride one is because the kid in me remembered the old "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" animation special where the narrator rode one. For each tour, I was picked up just before 8:30 am near the front of the motel where I was staying. We normally returned back from the tour around 4:30 pm. The tour groups are usually small (the ones I went on ranged from 4 to 8 tourists with either one or a couple of driver/tour guides). On the three days I went, I rode with customers from Ohio, Alabama, Maryland, Canada, Utah, and the Phillipines (among other places). We were told not to throw gum or candy wrappers on the ground inside the park because they want to keep Yellowstone as natural as possible. During the winter season when there's lots of snow, they only allow snowcoaches & snowmobiles in Yellowstone. Snowcoaches have a speed limit of 25 mph while snowmobiles have a speed limit of 35 mph. Because snowmobiles are allowed to go faster, snowcoach drivers are supposed to pull over to the side and let them pass. Snowmobile drivers usually travel in groups & from my observation behaved like groups of people in a motorcycle club; like they owned the road even though most of them were riding snowmobiles for the first time. The crowds in Yellowstone are small & spread out in December so even with the snowmobilers we felt like we almost had the park to ourselves. The worst thing about the snowmobilers is when we're quietly taking pictures of wildlife & then they drive up en masse & unintentionally scare the animals off. Our drivers/tour guides were excellent at their job. They had eyes like hawks, pointing out such sights as bald eagles nesting in the trees that most of us would've missed. They knew everything about the various types of trees and wildlife. My favorite part was other than seeing the wildlife was listening to the guides tell stories about their experiences in Yellowstone. One tour guide told us about when he was by himself in the park & a grizzly began approaching him. He had to use bear spray to temporarily slow it down so he could get in his vehicle & drive away. Another guide told us about how bald eagles mate for life & how they sometimes test the worthiness of a mate during courtship by doing a death spiral. A death spiral is when they lock talons high in the air, tumble towards the earth & then let go just before hitting the ground. That's how they decide whether their mate is a ride or die. If you're trying to decide which tour to choose, I'd recommend that you go on both. The Old Faithful tour has the best opportunity for souvenirs due to the two gift shops near the geyser. Also, there's a restaurant beside one of the souvenir shops. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone tour is popular too because tourists love taking selfies with the canyon waterfall in the distant background. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone tour includes a boxed lunch that consists of a cold sandwich (roast beef, turkey, etc.), small bag of chips & Oreo cookies. We ate the boxed lunch inside the Canyon Visitor Education Center (where you can see animal skulls & pelts). You'll see wildlife on both tours but I saw more bison on the Old Faithful tour. Every time you venture into Yellowstone it's likely you'll notice something you didn't see the day before. I enjoyed riding the snowcoaches but my favorite was the maroon bombardier that has been running since the 1950s that's nicknamed Chip. It also had a roof that the driver sometimes opened when Chip was parked. You could stand up, stick your head out & take pictures. The other snowcoaches were nice too, although they looked more modern. All of them were toasty inside but during the winter you should wear warm clothing because you will get out of the ride & walk some. The weather fluctuated from single digits to the twenties later in the afternoon. Alpen Guides is as good as it gets when it comes to sightseeing tours. Five stars!

He talked over us (on a microphone blasting the van) while we were trying to have family time and a family conversation. He was the main attraction at the park that day! We asked him not to talk about politics because we weren't interested in his arm chair quarterbacking. He declined. He didn't ask much about our opinions about where to tour that day.
