The salon had a room with a pillow, that was dimly lit and music was playing. I ended up falling asleep during my first eye lash extensions experience it was so peaceful. At Mai's: I was uncomfortable, I don't remember if they have music playing or not but the fluorescent lighting and hospital feel made me SO uncomfortable. I was lying there, trying to get comfortable when I felt like I was going to pass out (I think I was clenching my body because I was trying to be still but also get comfortable) Well, I asked if I could get up and stupid me didn't realize I couldn't open my eyes (because they are like taped down or something) and I ended up freaking out. I don't think it was the girls fault that was doing them but it's not the most comfortable procedure, and not being able to open your eyes/having someone right in your face is claustrophobic. They need to renovate. It feels like a hospital. Have 2 stars because the lady was very kind.

I first got my eyeliner done by Brandi at the end of July 2016. She really took her time and went…read morethrough different options and different services she offered. We decided to do the mini eyeliner, because she reminded me that we can always add more later but it is a very difficult, long, and expensive process to get it removed. She obviously loves what she does. Her bedside manner is phenomenal! She made me feel very relaxed and explained everything she was doing as she was doing it. It started with numbing cream being put on the eyes which sat for about 10 minutes. She then started with the eyeliner and it felt like more of a tickle than anything. A weird sensation but no pain. She felt me flinch at one point and asked me what my pain was on a 1-10 scale. I said maybe a 2 or 3 so she stopped and put on another layer of cream on my eyes to sit for another 10 minutes so I wouldn't feel a thing. It worked! I loved the results, but as she tells you, it fades 20-30% over the next 10 days (it's healing!). I went back this past weekend to add a little more, so I really didn't have to put any eyeliner on for my day to day look. This time Brandi was no different. She really listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted! The whole process and procedure was painless and amazing! I am SO thankful I found her and got it done here-- I've read/heard horror stories of other places. Even if you aren't certain you want to get permanent makeup but are toying with the idea, set up a consultation. You have nothing to lose! She does eyebrows and lip tints or liners, and also eye lash tinting/perming. I got the eyelash tint/perm done this past weekend with my eyeliner touch-up and I am also happy with my results; I won't even have to wear mascara anymore! The eyelash tint/perm only last 2-3 months though, where as the eyeliner is permanent. I hope this review helps. If there are any questions, I would be happy to respond. (obviously not in Louisiana) so my hair was pretty much destroyed after leaving.. the blonde was exactly what I said i didn't want... the red was beautiful.. during the process i started feeling sick as if i was going to pass out. I just figured it was from not eating that morning..my head was burning and asked if it was normal.. the lady said yes its normal. When i left i couldn't even put my head against the cars headrest because it hurt so bad! I felt i had something in my hair and just figured it was shampoo or something that didn't get fully washed out... until i got back to my moms and my husband took a video of the blisters.. my mom informed the lady and she claimed to not notice.. but how do you not notice at least irritation because like i said my scalp was burning so bad i felt like I was going to pass out..fast forward to when i got home. Which was a few days later, my first time washing it since i was told to wait a few days so the red wouldn't bleed. The lady told me wash the blonde and red separately IF i could. Which at the salon i was have to hold sections of my hair as she washed it. So im not sure exactly how i was supposed to do that by myself. I did try as best as i could but it was just impossible. After the verg 1st wash (with cold water as told) my hair was pink. The red wasnt even red.. it was pink. After ONLY ONE WASH! when she was made aware of my hair of course it was my fault for not washing it separately..and at this point my head was still full of blisters that scabbed up (gross i know) i seeked advice from another professional and she told me not to put anything else on my head because i risked my hair falling out. At this point ny hair was already falling out. I had to wait 3 MONTHS to get it fixed. I was so embarrassed to even wear my hair down. Not once did this lady offer to fix it or anything just a lame apology she didnt really mean. My hair being done was a my Christmas gift from my mom. I showed her many styles i liked all which she said she couldn't do. But seemed very confident in doing half and half (not sure the correct term for what was done). The whole experience was negative. I was in tbe chair over 4 hours and all she did was complain. She decided to work on Christmas Eve. So that wasnt my fault. Literally complained the whole time. It was all around a terrible experience. I dont do negative reviews on things but i mean....this deserves one for sure. Feel free to share!!

The owner got back to me personally, she went over and above to work with me and my super busy schedule. When I arrived, she took her time to discuss the shape I wanted, then took more time just to get the shape right before she started working. Yes, getting something similar to a tattoo on your face takes time to get right; which she did. I was worried about the pain, about the healing, the scary "dark" phase as some call it, but there was no pain whatsoever, following her directions made the healing process a breeze (and she provides the ointment), and the "dark" lightened just like she said it would. I have gone for my first, and touch-up appointments and I could not be happier with the results. My confidence has dramatically improved, yes, just the difference having eyebrows can make. No more 15+ minutes trying to pencil in my this brows, having them wash/wipe off. I seriously couldn't be happier with the results!
