    Xcel cut my internet and phone lines and didn't even tell me I reported a downed power line in my yard to Xcel, and the next day they repaired it. In the process, they cut my internet and phone lines. They didn't tell me (the only way I knew is that I happened to see their truck drive away) and they didn't call me. They left the cut lines draped across my yard. They didn't contact anyone else to come fix it. I had to wade through 7 levels of phone menus to finally speak to someone, only to have them tell me it's my problem to deal with.

    Today June 20. Outages every 7-10 minutes from noon to 830 so far. No bad weather just poor maintenance and poor leadership

    I just had service turned on and the technician who came to turn it on was one of the most…read moredelightful human beings I've met lately. His name was Victor, and he's a younger guy. Just went above and beyond to be helpful, but more than that, he also had such a pleasant and kind demeanor that I wanted to make him stay and be my new BFF. What a sweetheart. As a woman who is often home alone for these calls, I've had more than one uncomfortable experience. Victor just radiates reassurance and put me instantly at ease. I called his supervisor, Steve, to tell him what a good experience I had, but I also want to recognize him on here. He was only here for about 20 minutes, total, but made a very positive impression. He turned on the line, was very friendly to my pets, and then took the time to both explain how the water heater and furnace system work, how to check them for any problems, how to adjust the water heat level, and then checked around the house for CO leaks, because I'm a jeweler and have had false positives due to my acetylene torch. He was efficient, so it's not like he wasted time, but in that short amount of time, I learned things about my house's heating/water that I'm embarrassed I made it to this age without knowing. Also, the exhaust tube for the water heater wasn't lined up properly, so he adjusted it and double tested it to make sure my kids and I would be safe from CO leaks. If every big company had employees this competent, personable, and helpful, you'd have a lot fewer Karens b*tching about things. And Xcel wants to raise rates AGAIN by 8%. I would switch to another provide but guess what - I can't. They have a monopoly. Lousy service and raised rates. You don't need to provide good service when your customers cannot go elsewhere. Ridiculous.

I got a SEPARATE invoice from Home serve today for the first time. It was a bill for 3 separate services through Home Serve. i called Black Hills who explained that Home Serve is a separate company, but he could transfer me. He also gave me the number. When he tried the the transfer, I heard the number was no longer in service. The number worked, and I got a live agent, Monique, with no last name. My records show I cancelled in May 2024. Her records concurred, but that I changed my mind!!! NO. She was to cancel my account immediately and confirm via email. She was also to send the signed renewal she said she had as well as an updated copy for each year. I got nothing!! I called back and only get a recording asking me to rate the agent. These people sound like scam artists to me. I expect Black Hills to vet their subcontractors better than this. When I owned a business, I was responsible for my subcontractors. .

They have NO record.of us ever having any services. I told the guy I spoke to, Jose, that we have had somone out for all services. They have NO record of it. So WHO deleted our pasted history??? They said I could sign up today for $49.99 mo they but have to wait 30 days for service. They are charging higher prices and the service is getting less and less. Very, very unhappy customer here. Then I looked up reviews and see other people submitted complaints. I also send in a complaint to the BBB. Lousy services....

I mistakenly believed I was enrolled in autopay when I wasn't. That's on me, and I take responsibility for missing the payments. What surprised me was the notification process. I received a single piece of mail indicating that my account was past due, but I didn't receive any email notifications or other alerts warning me that service interruption was imminent. Since I genuinely thought my payments were being handled automatically, I had no reason to suspect there was an issue. When I called to have my water restored, I suggested that Denver Water consider adding clearer alerts, such as email notifications or a more prominent warning on customer accounts. My intention was simply to provide feedback that might help prevent similar situations for others. Instead, I felt like the conversation quickly shifted to being reprimanded for the missed payments. To be clear, I understand that I was responsible for paying the bill. My concern is that the communication process could be improved. In a world where we're constantly warned about scams and fraudulent notices, a single piece of mail can be easy to overlook or question. Additional notifications would make it much more likely that customers are aware of an issue before their water service is shut off. I hope Denver Water considers strengthening its customer alert system. It would likely save both customers and customer service representatives a lot of frustration.

Came out the next day on Nov 7 and it was all fixed in about 6 hours- after having to get folks to move cars, tear up asphalt in two places, dig deeply, patch asphalt, etc. Lots of heavy equipment and many workers. This electric only (boo - I wish they did gas too so I could escape Xcel) utility is our utility provider in Northern Commerce City (if you live North of 96th they'll be yours also, south is still Xcel). I have called in several burned out streetlight requests and they have always been addressed within 1-2 days of submission. When a location needs clarification the staff has always been pleasant to deal with. The electric service has been reliable too! (That probably should have came first!). We have some high winds out east here (40-60 MPH) and our lights have never blinked once. Compare that to X-hell where a measly 40 MPH wind out of the mountains caused a lot of blinking in a new area of Broomfield. Overall, hats off to United Power for a job well done! A solid 5 star performance though I wish their outage maps would get a bit more user friendly. Still not enough to knock a star off. And no, I DON'T work for the company.

When a situation like this happens, as a customer, you want to feel like someone cares about your problem as much as you do. Some other plumbers told us they would call us in a couple days which obviously left us desperate. Jed at Apex Plumbing really took care of us. Even though I called late in the day he gave me personal attention and was sure to follow up to give me updates on the status, texts to make sure his team had arrived and followed up a couple times the same day to make sure we were in good shape. Honest and genuine, we will happily recommend Apex Plumbing to our friends and family.

    I hired Apex to repair a drain and waste valve at my residence. The job consisted of excavation and…read morereplacement of the valve due to a water leak that only occurs when the valve is open. the valve was also extremely hard to open and close due to its age. After paying Apex nearly $4,000 to replace the valve, the water leak remains. I have called several times and emailed just to get a representative from the company to come out and take a look at the issue. This company has ignored my phone calls and emails. Apex WILL NOT be there in the event of an issue with their service. I DO NOT recommend Apex Plumbing for these expensive repairs as they will not even pretend to back up their work. Save yourself the hassle and go with a reputable company who backs their work. Apex IS NOT that company.
