we had apex come out to fix a break in the sewer line. never done. how we found out was a foot of poop water in our basement. charged over 5000. when i called letting them know we had water in the basement and we have a 5 year warranty. she pretty much said to bad. nasty people working there and obviously do not know what they're doing. bad customer service. go through mr. rooter very experienced and good people service 303 975 0005 give them a call they treat you right

Apex uses duct tape to tape up plastic sheeting, which peels off paint & plaster when removed.

I can't recommend APEX Plumbing. tl;dr: Based on my experience and reading the other Yelp reviews, I'd say they are great at doing sewer work and not so great at doing water service lines. Their communication before, during, and after the project left A LOT to be desired. Additionally, for a company that prides themselves on turn key work and leaving everything in the same condition it was found, they definitely fell short with my job. --- After doing a lead water test from Denver Water, I found out my water service line was made of lead, and I worked with Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) to get the line replaced. In the bidding process, DURA selected them for the job because it was the lowest bid. After the line was replaced, I found out they were the only bid submitted, which was done on 1/17/2018. When they gave me an estimate for my project in early February, they suggested we use their mole borer because of the location of my existing water line. They also said using that method would require the least amount of demolition inside my house. The water service line comes into the house in my bedroom through the floor, so I was glad Jim, their estimator, had a plan for minimizing the impact to my life & house. Jamie, who schedules the work, said the job would only take 1 day. It took over 2 months to get my project scheduled, and I had to follow up multiple times with Jamie to check on the status (part of this delay was the Denver Water being slow, but I'm not sure how much... I was told by DURA it should take 2-3 weeks). Their crew showed up without any knowledge about what we'd talked about during the estimate. Their crew didn't want to use my front door for access and instead opted to walk on my freshly planted grass seed to access the back door. This only stopped after I asked their supervisor, Mike, to ask them to use the front door. After looking at my existing service line, Mike, said that they were not going to be able to replace it in the manner I discussed with the estimator, so more demolition was necessary and they started jackhammering the floor and dismantling the cabinet containing all the water valves. Their crew used duct tape to secure the plastic sheets, and when removing them after the first day, the duct tape took off paint from my walls and ceilings as well as left residue on my floors. Blue painters tape was used a few places, but I have no idea why it wasn't used everywhere like it should have been. They worked all day at getting to a state where they could replace the line. Mid-afternoon, I was notified that the job wouldn't be completed that day. At the end of the day, my bedroom was left in an unusable state. The next day, the crew arrived early and continued on their work. They did not put out protective plastic throughout the house for this day's work like they'd done the previous day. More jackhammering of the floor/foundation was done. They got the new water service line installed mid-afternoon and they then focused on putting everything outside back together. They poured a new concrete patch for the sidewalk that was removed and filled in the parking strip with dirt. The meter pit they installed is about 2-3 inches too high, so it'll be an obstacle to avoid while mowing once grass is planted. They said the job was done even though nothing was put back together in my basement. I had to contact them again to get this addressed. After contacting Jim about the incomplete job and explaining the difference between what I was told they were going to do and what actually happened, he apologized for any miscommunication, but said "Unfortunately the Dura program is always low bid, so any better technology causing additional costs are rarely included." This wasn't what he said during the estimate. Jim said that Mike would come by to "check the grade of the meter pit and address any other tie up issues," but he never showed up. Someone from APEX came by to verify the sprinklers were working. He agreed about the meter pit being too high and said they should be able to fix it. Mike did not show up to take care of the basement or the meter pit & shutoff that were set to high. Denver Water came to inspect their work and agreed the meter pit & shut off were too high and failed their inspection (with an additional issue related to the install inside the meter pit). Jim finally responded to my email saying since it's a DURA job, interior repairs are not included. If this was the case, Mike shouldn't have said he'd fix it. Three days after they "completed" my job, a crew showed up to fix the height of the meter pit & shutoff valve. While fixing this, they cracked a large paver in my flagstone walkway that's between the curb and sidewalk. It's now been seven business days since my job was "completed". My basement is still torn apart, I still have cracked paver, and I haven't heard anything from Apex about getting this taken care of.

The company was very eager to get paid, but not nearly as eager to show proof of satisfactory work done.

Hyper Flow Service - Completed water service replacement, ready for re-sod

Hyper Flow Service has been my trusted plumbers since 2021, for the past 4.5+ years. The owner,…read moreKyle, has also referred me to my equally trustworthy HVAC/Electrician, ArkEHC, and I couldn't be happier! I've worked with David, Jacob, Brian, and James, and can't speak more highly of all of them! They've all helped me in various ways, the past few years, during both emergencies and routine maintenance. It all started in Labor Day 2021, when I had just flown here from Arlington, VA (Washington, DC), to "hug my dad for surviving COVID," as he returned home from the hospital after starting at the VA, then being at a private hospital for 5-weeks, and he was scheduled to be discharged Labor Day weekend, just as his basement sewage plumbing backed up! I was so overwhelmed. I called 1.800 Water Mitigation, to remove all the HAZMAT, then get going on the dehumidifiers, fans, and worked with USAA to re-build the entire basement thereafter, and for the stopped-up toilet, I called Hyper Flow. James helped me snake the basement toilet, and begin to explain all of home plumbing to me. That was 4-years ago. Then I began hiring Hyper Flow to slowly rebuild two upstairs toilets that my dad had perhaps not maintained as well as ideal (he was on fixed income, after all, so no judgment), as well as the two upstairs bathroom sinks, then ultimately I hired them to replace the Kitchen Sink Faucet (James did this work, as Brian was the manager, who helped me assess the problem and do the estimate). James also helped me get my Water Heater (that a different company installed, that was no up-to-code) up to code, per the retroactive Home Inspection, and James helped me install a mainline water shutoff. My house is finally in ship-shape - on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC - all thanks to Kyle, the owner of Hyper Flow. Highly recommend! FYI, they've also jetted my lateral sewage line pipes - twice - and I will be hiring them for the excavation of the line that connects to my HOA main sewage line, before it connects to the City of Denver, once that time comes. Great work, great value, and - most of all - I trust them & their work.

Awesome!!! Awesome!!!! Awesome!!!!…read more We called Harry and he came out the next morning. Within 2 hours he found the source of our leak and fixed it!!! Very friendly guy, he is the third generation of master plumbers for this company (grandfather, father and him). Cheaper labor than the other bigger companies (done! plumbing) that came out the day before and quoted us $199 / hr for labor and ~$500 for parts and labor to fix said leak -- I will add Done! did not even attempt to look for the leak they just looked at the spot we showed them and quoted us a price from a "price book"). He fixed our leak within 2 hours and the charges were UNDER $200!!!! And that included labor. He saved us a ton of money and was truly a professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is going to be the plumber we call from now on if we need plumbing work.
