Food is the Key to the 5 stars. I really enjoyed Yellow Curry; it was a large portion. It's not too spicy and has some Veggies that aren't overcooked; the chicken was tender and it had three Jumbo shrimp. Tiger roll is 4 fried spring rolls with crab and cream cheese I think, like an improved crab Rangoon. The Brussels sprouts are good, I wish that had a bit more spice or flavor. My wife had the Ramen with steak, and I enjoyed a few slices of steak (like super quality roast beef). The service is a little slow if you're there on a weekend. The Ambiance is nice, but not overly done. You can go in your scrubby clothes. No problem. read more

My kids had been hinting that they wanted ramen so we decided to take them out on this cold day for this treat. We were greeted upon entry and we got there around 30 minutes before they were going to close before reopening for the evening crowd. We were quickly seated and our orders taken. The resteraunt wasn't packed but there was a nice amount of people dining in and a lot coming in and pick up. It was clean. We received our food quickly and the soup for me hit the spot, as mentioned it was cold out and it wanted me up. It wasn't the best ramen that I've had but it was really good. Everything tasted fresh, from the potstickers to the dragon rolls. I tried my husbands rice order and it was ok- you had to season with soy sauce or to your liking. I am use to going to resteraunts that season the food before getting it and not having to season it myself as much. We got decent sized portions for the price, and had food to bring home. How do you review a place that is never open and that will not answer their telephone for pick up orders? Here is the story. My family and I went there one afternoon before close, about 30mins and when we arrived, two women went over to the door to lock it and proceeded to not tell us that they were closing. It was very rude, at least have the courtesy to tell the customer if you are closed. We gave the restaurant another chance on Saturday afternoon. I called at 1:50pm for a pick-up order and there was no answer. I called three more times and no one picked up. Yes, they could have been busy, but usually restaurants will answer and say to hold a moment. They could have answered and said they weren't taking pick-up orders. Unfortunately, I shall not be trying to eat here again. Not worth the headache. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch just before noon and got a table right away. We ordered and sipped on water while checking out the fish tank, Hello Kitty figurines and other Kawaii nicknacks along the shelves behind the register and the walls. I had the Singapore BBQ pork ramen and my wife had the Tom Kha soup with chicken. My ramen was generously laden with tender pork, bok choy, peas, corn, noodles, broth and a hard boiled egg. Homemade chili oil gave it just the right amount of extra kick. My wife's soup has all the trademark flavors of the famous Thai soup including, galangal, lemongrass, kafir line leaf and had plenty of straw mushrooms and chicken to make the bowl meal-worthy. After such a scary tornado hit NLR, I ended up evacuating my place and staying in Conway at a friends. She lived about 5 minutes from Xen Thai & Ramen--a cute little spot nestled in a large shopping center. When we walked in the doors, I noticed the place was packed but not too packed for a Friday evening. The wait was fairly short and there was comfortable seating near the door. Once seated, our waitress was very inviting, friendly and engaging. I appreciated her warmth considering we'd had such a tough day already. She explained their collection of juice drinks and teas. I highly recommend the passion fruit juice and boba. It felt light & refreshing. Next, we ordered the tempura Brussel sprouts. Can you say love at first bite? This appetizer was a fun and yummy twist on the tempura vegetable and Brussel sprout trends. I couldn't get enough! Finally, we ordered our entrees--duck ramen & spicy basil fried rice with shrimp. I love that both dishes were packed with characteristic Thai flavors & spices. This made my tastebuds very happy and brought me comfort--Thai style. Another waitress came by with a highly recommended Thai chili oil & dried peppers to add to the ramen. This took the ramen to a whole new level! The food and service were excellent! Recommend! Kidney disease friendly!!Chronic kidney disease usually keeps me from eating ramen. I typically ask if a restaurant can prepare something low sodium and ramen is usually very salty. I asked and they happily prepared a tasty low sodium shrimp tempura ramen. I was surprised! The noodles were pretty basic but I was willing to put that aside due to the fact that I could actually eat ramen in a restaurant!!? Yay! My family also got chicken fried rice which they really liked as well. The Thai iced tea was delicious too. Obvious the noodles are packaged, not real ramen made from scratch which in turn gave my wife and I stomach aches. My wife got chicken ramen, and it was so bland and tasteless. The best part were the service and the appetizers. Not sure if management changed its recipe, but they should really focus on a real authentic broth and noodle. It was mediocre at best. This is my go to places for lunch and has one of my favorite comfort foods: ramen! They are one of the few places that has actual ramen and it tastes pretty good. It's really nice on a cold day or if you aren't wanting something super heavy. I've tried the drunken noodles as well , which were really good. Every now and then me and friends will get the donuts and condensed milk as a treat. But i can not leave this place without ordering my Thai tea with boba!
