This place is legit! I've never been to China, but have lived in San Francisco and then we moved to San Diego, so we're familiar with authentic dim sum. We ordered the shrimp har gow and shrimp and pork dim sum and they were delicious! I also ordered the spicy tonkutsu that the gentleman recommended and it was delicious! A lot of pork and flavorful. I read prior that customer service was bad, so I was skeptic but I observed and they took care of their customers to all door dash drivers who picked up food. They were attentive and courteous. The gentleman said they were new owners so it looks like they're doing their best to turn the customer service reviews to positive. Highly recommend if you want noodles and dim sum. I've never eaten at Red Bowl but we've DoorDashed it a few times. Everything is good but the dumplings are everyone's favorite. Sometimes we make a meal just out of several orders of those. Our soup bowls were black not red, but it was delicious regardless. The projected logos spinning on the ground made it a party. Please put the Olympics on the big screen next time. Wait. What? SF quality dim sum in Little Rock? This is the real deal! Wow! Here's how you play it: 1. Tea is required. They have mix of green, "jasmine", and black tea. But the jasmine tea is just flowers (?). You want proper yum cha tea, so say: "I want a mix of jasmine and black tea". Then you get a delicious flowers and tea. 2. Blow off the fried calamari, ramen, and other extraneous items. You are here for the dim sum. So order these classics from the back of the menu: -Stuffed eggplant (it's stuffed with shrimp) -Shrimp and spinach (or some kind of veggie) dumpling -***Lotus wrapped sticky rice***. -Bean curd skin rolls. -Steamed bao (buns) or shumai are other options. You'll want 5 dishes for 2 people. When your teapot is empty, turn the top/cap upside down, and it will be refilled. I also recommend bringing a pair of scissors to slice some dishes in half (in most dim sum spots the server keep a pair handy for this, but they didn't have them here). I was soooo excited to hear about a dim sum place in Little Rock. I moved from GA last year and was surrounded by Asian restaurants, so I do miss the variety of restaurants sometimes. We came here on a Saturday around noon. Our main goal was to get our dim sum favorite: bbq pork buns. They were sadly out by the time we got there. It's only a weekend offering, and when we asked one of the guys who came by our table, he said they ran out within 30 mins of opening!! Man I'm going to have to go right when they open to get them. I've decided I'm not a big ramen fan. I prefer pho. Having said that, I went here and the service was fantastic. They unfortunately only took cash because of tornado damage to internet, so I didn't explore the menu as much as I'd have liked. What I did have was spicy miso ramen with beef and shrimp. The beef was brisket with a good smoky flavor to it. Shrimp were a little small, but tasty. I had that with side of edamame. Again, service was awesome, food was good and fresh, and the manager even came over to ask me for my thoughts and opinions as they are just getting started. I was the first customer of the day, I was immediately greeted and seated. There was no music nor anything on the TV so it was extremely quiet. I ordered the spices Miso, which wasn't spicy at, I actually added red chili paste to kick it up, seafood and pork dumplings and chicken feet. Secondly, there were barely any vegetables in the dish except a couple of long green onions with little substance to them. I was super happy and surprised to find sticky rice on the menu, so I had to order it. My friends had never tried it before, and it was terrific. Wrapped in large lotus leaves, with a generous amount of rice inside, filled with chunks of chicken. So delicious! We couldn't stop talking about the sticky rice even after we got home. We also ordered the fried taro ball appetizers, and I have to say, I'd never had anything like it. It's rare to find something on a menu that I've never seen before, and they were also excellent. They're deep-fried, with a filling that seems like mashed potato (probably mashed taro, but it had the consistency and flavor of potato), and a center of something that tasted like beef stroganoff. The server said it was pork inside, but it tasted more of beef than pork. Other items weren't as strong, but there was nothing we didn't like. The pork and shrimp shumai were tasty and fresh. The eggplant dish is the only one I wouldn't order again; the skins were tough and the flesh too oily.. probably they were deep fried. I'd like to go back to try the ramen. They desperately need some kind of decor on the walls. The service and food were good, but they could really elevate the experience by making the room more inviting and comfortable. read more

Came for a work lunch and left pretty disappointed. One star is for the service and the other star is for restaurant. The waitress was very nice and she was also very attentive. The location is great, and they did a great job with the remodel. If it wasn't for those things I just mentioned, I would give the place a 0. The ramen broth tasted like dishwater. I couldn't eat it. The place seemed clean and our server was very nice. There was a wide variety of food to choose from on the menu, which may be actually part of the problem. They may want to branch away from the fusion aspect and focus more on one type of cuisine. I ordered the pad thai. Let me preface that I never send food back and usually Asian food is never an issue with me, but the pad thai had absolutely no flavor aside from the sauce that they use which must have been a watered down tomato pasta sauce. It had a very distinctive tomato taste, I even had my friends try it to confirm my suspicions without me even telling them what I thought it tasted like in advance. The waiter was very insistent it was pad thai, and in checking reviews after the fact here and at other sites I've noticed that other people have stated the same thing. They would not take the food back, or remove it from the bill, which in a way I understand they are a small business. I don't like food going to waste and I do not like giving it back, so I had it to go and gave it to a homeless man that was nearby the restaurant. At least I felt a little better that it did not get thrown away. I absolutely love pad Thai but this, oh God I don't even know what that was.
