I did get their spicy eggplant spread on it but be warned it is a bit spicier than anticipated so maybe get a hummus or something creamy to balance out the spice. My brothers a picky eater and didn't want anything but chicken and tatziki sauce in his and so we physically picked out the avocado (an additional $ add on) and pickled onion since he hates corn. I appreciated the packaging of everything-- some intention placed there! The cauliflower was quite under-seasoned and strangely and overall sandwich was sweet. THE place to go when you're craving Mediterranean food and want to eat it ASAP. The delivery service was super convenient and easy! The grilled chicken wrap was my favorite entree with the super-soft pita bread that held together the chicken and veggies coated in tzatziki dip. I savored every bite of this until it basically fell apart at the end. I also tried the grilled steak plate and you honestly cannot go wrong with either protein. It makes me want to try the veggie options too because I know it'll be just as good. The rice was mediocre but the smoked eggplant dip is the perfect combo with the meat so who cares about the rice. Yo. This was so good. Love that they dedicate a whole section of the menu to vegan options. I got the falafel salad option, and it was really yummy and filling. When I arrived at the address, there was no XENIA to be found. The yelp description states, it's a pop up offering Mediterranean takeout food, which I like. After triple checking the address, I did not see any evidence of XENIA's business pop up. Where's the pick up spot? And more importantly, where's the kitchen? During COVID times, I need to know if COVID safety measures of handling food are practiced. Is this business still in existence? I called the phone listed on their yelp page and no answer, no outgoing greeting, just straight to voicemail. Its not an established business that has a proven track record, so my concerns about safety is reasonable. Wow, I was excited to discover Xenia through Doordash and noticed Xenia offered a Happy Hour discount so gave this new-to-me restaurant a try. I ordered the steak plate with Greek salad, carrot hummus (I couldn't go without selecting a dip on their form so grudgingly selected the carrot hummus). I figured if I hated the hummus which I knew I would, I would select one of my victims to eat it for me (cats, dogs). Anyway the Angus steak with brown basmati rice pilaf was amazing, the Greek salad was fresh and yummy, pita was thick and scrumptious. Unfortunately the dasher was at one location for a lengthy period of time, so the hot food wasn't (hot that is, not even warm) but that isn't the fault of Xenia. I had to microwave the food that should have been hot. The anticipated "disgusting" carrot hummus was actually really good so what my pets don't know won't hurt them. My regrets were that I didn't order the Xenia fries or the yummy looking chocolate chip cookie. But after this very positive experience I know I shall be ordering again soon! As someone who's really into Mediterranean food, I thought I'd give XENiA a shot to see if it could hold a candle to my favorite places. I ordered their chicken plate, which had Souvlaki-style chicken on rice, a Greek salad, and some smoked eggplant dip on the side. Now, I wouldn't say XENiA is terrible or anything, but it felt pretty average, particularly when stacked up against the amazing quality and taste of Soom Soom Mediterranean Grill just around the corner (ok actually 20 minutes on a good day). I ended up rating XENiA 3 out of 5 stars, mainly because it didn't really stand out among all the top-notch fast Mediterranean restaurants in the city, like Soom Soom and the best of all Tel Aviv Grill. That being said, I could see XENiA becoming a popular chain, especially in places like El Paso or Tucson, where there isn't as much tough competition. The flavors and ingredients are certainly tasty, but they just don't quite hit the high bar set by similar places here in Los Angeles. I do have to give props to XENiA for their fries, though - they were seriously incredible! Perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they're definitely worth mentioning. If you're in the mood for a solid fast Mediterranean meal, give XENiA a try. I absolutely love Xenia. Every item on their menu is so flavorful without being heavy. I'm a huge fan of the salad, french fries and ANY dip they have. Also, if you don't try the grilled potato, you are missing out!! It's unreal! They are also super accommodating with food allergies. I have celiacs disease and am lactose intolerant and it's incredibly easy to eat at Xenia. There food is flavorful and filling, but light and healthy. I feel good eating their food.
