If you're a normal person, this place tastes like booty. My group got the burger and chicken sandwich and it was... definitely a flavor. Yuck. The drinks were ok. Nothing crazy. The service was somewhat questionable, with us having to ask for napkins and our last drink, and them telling us we already have it, when we clearly didn't. The tables are also microscopic and the biggest one only fits 2 people. Yeah, probably won't ever be back for some yucky expensive food. As a vegan for over a decade I ALWAYS want to support vegan businesses. I have had an experience here of both good and bad. First, let me start off by saying I think its overpriced- WAY overpriced. I can get a fully organic meal at Panini Grill for $30 that will last me several days. A few of the employees are wonderful but the male manager is odd at best- he gives off swarmy vibes and today when I picked up my food (which was $30 for a ceasar salad and small side of macaroni) I noticed there was barely any vegan chicken- I asked the manager about it and he said that it was standard and if I dug under the chicken it will be spread throughout the bowl. Well, it wasn't. And while I was there, I commented that the food is quite expensive and what we are given does not seem to equate to the cost the manager said he could provide extra vegan chicken this one time- as if he was doing ME a favor, I declined. I won't be going back- this is the second not good experience I have had with poor delivery of food. I have noticed the same thing in some of the other comments- my food when I picked it up was ice cold and strewn all over- The order I picked up today the lid didn't even fit on the to go order so I had to make sure it didn't spill everywhere-really disappointed all around. While I waited, she offered water (available on the counter) and I listened to how she was training Zach. She was so passionate and caring describing how to gently place bowls in the to go bags and why it makes a difference. Why some get utensils and some don't, but she cared and it showed. There are so many delicious sounding options, but I opted for the Backyard BBQ Tofu bowl which comes with sunshine rice, BBQ tofu, sweet potato, coleslaw, sautéed cauliflower, grilled corn, diced tomato, shoestring onions, fresh cilantro, massaged kale, pickled red onions, lime, and buttermilk ranch. They give a generous portion and it's a hefty bowl. You can taste the quality and freshness of each ingredient, and this bowl was incredible. The flavors and textures of everything was perfect. To my taste, the vegan "meats" were bland, nothing noteworthy. Bottom line, you cannot create flavor by adding sauces on top of a bowl, or by a colorful bevy of accoutrements like sweet corn/red cabbage/pickled onion/lettuce. This place's offerings fall flat for me. Their base target customer probably has a more bland American palate.
