I went for dinner with my spouse and kiddo on a late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant has a lovely sit down atmosphere that is cozy and not at all stuffy. Place was empty and I have no idea why. All the food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We were waited on by a sweet older man who checked on us at least twice during our meal. We ate well and had leftovers for an affordable price. We've been here so many times. Service is always good and fast. Easy to get a table right away most days. Food is consistent and good. Portions are incredibly big and you'll always have leftovers. Kabobs (ground beef and chicken) are our go-to. with side Shirazi salad and rice. Everything's always super flavorful, and the meat is amazingly seasoned and tender. Grilled veggies are a great side, and we sometimes get hummus and babaganoush which are also good. We have lived in the area many years and unfortunately hadn't gotten around to dining here until recently. The overall ambiance is quite nice and the service was excellent. We got hummus as a starter, I got chicken koobideh and my husband lamb koobideh. Both came with a refreshing shirazi salad of onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes, basmati garnished with saffron, and charbroiled onion and tomato. Everything was plentiful and flavorful. Stopped by on a whim and boy was I happy I made the right move. Ordered their Chicken and Beef Koobideh plate paired with a lentil soup and a charred jalapeño . The dish was perfect, the saffron rice was piping hot and the varied charred bell peppers, onions and tomato all just hit it right. The lentil soup also was very earthy and home comfort feel. The owners and managers are incredibly kind, respectful, and welcoming. Every time we visit, they treat us with genuine warmth and appreciation, and sometimes even surprise us with complimentary dessert, which shows how much they care about their customers. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean, and has such a comfortable family atmosphere. The location is great, and most importantly, the quality of the food has always been excellent. For me, the (now) vegan in the family, I went with a grilled vegetable kebab, and the sauce is ground walnuts simmering in pomegranate, I think.
