My internet was not working last night. So I talked to the chat bot; who obviously would not listen. Finally got a live person, I think semicolon because she would not listen either. Instead of listening for the problem she tried to upsell me a phone, a smartwatch, a faster speed. My question to her was if what I have doesn't work why in the hell would I buy anything else? So. I moved a month ago. Everything was working fine and dandy until last night. She tried to tell me the internet at my old house was not off yet and she needed to do that right now while I was on the phone. 2 hours later, my internet was still not fixed and I am getting pissed. She runs through the Wi-Fi blah blah blah tells me it's working. No s*** Sherlock. But my internet is not. Again, this I know. Now she's telling me it's my fault because I didn't buy their TV equipment. That's odd since both my tablet and phone don't have internet either. She basically tells me it's a me problem and asked me if there's anything else she can help me with. This little adventure started at 8:00 and all I wanted to do was watch a happy movie, Barbie, to be exact. It is now 11:30 still no internet. I am furious and couldn't get to sleep till 6:00 this morning. I was forced to used Xfinity (which also goes by Commcast) because there were no other internet providers in my area 6 years ago. Since then they raise the bill every chance they get. Claiming "free" speed upgrades and other features i dont need and did not request. ( I dont even have a TV, they bill you for those 'free' features later. ) Sometimes I watch moves on my lap top and go on social media. That's about it. I have to constantly check my bill to make sure it hasn't been increased and then make phone calls to TRY to speak with a real person ( NEVER easy to get to a live human) to get it lowered again. My mother also was forced to use Xfinity up in Santa Fe for the same reasons. (no other providers at that time). Mom is 85 so I have to do all the internet stuff for her. When I tried to lower her bill ( they raise her bill without her notice for services she does't need... over $100 for internet and she only goes to email !!!) I was told I couldn't adjust my moms bill as her modem was set to "stop working" and she would need some new modem or something..... He said "all the customers modems are being upgraded and will stop working".... that was about 4 months ago...... my modem and hers are still working....... I have photos of this text conversation with a "customer service rep" via the online chat..... that representative outright LIED to me so I wouldnt be able to lower her bill to the actual services she needs. It is the WORST company I have ever dealt with; I am still waiting to have them UNLOCK MY PHONE (2 days) to move to another carrier. They also promised $400 off of my iPhone 14, but they could not port over both our numbers and forced us to pay $859 for a phone that was promised at $459. Two months, and they never honored the discount. After an hour on the phone they finally sent out a text to reinitialize service... but in doing so, he cancelled service to my other t v box. Another hour on the phone and they finally sent out a guy to reinitialize service... and a few weeks later, after all of their mistakes, i'm hit with a hundred dollar service fee. It's absolutely ridiculous that in this "city" you have have at most 2 national internet providers. Your options are pay for WiFi for like $50 or pay for WiFi for like $100. Honestly, it doesn't matter because crappy internet service is crappy internet service. I'd gladly pay for fiberoptic internet but that isn't an option in this "big city". I switched to Xfinity from Direct TV/CenturyLink because I was without service for 14 1/2 days and no adjustment was made to the bill. The entire neighborhood was out due to their equipment failure. After extensive talks with Xfinity, I signed up for TV, landline, cell service and internet. I was told there would be no installation charge if I did the work myself. After getting the equipment I installed it, however, the app needed to activate the services would not allow me access. I finally called tech support and was told that they would have to send someone to troubleshoot the problem but as I attempted to do the installation I would not be charged the $100.00 fee. I was immediately charged almost $200.00 for the initial service. The technician came out and completed the installation. But said he would not be able to activate the cell service. My cell service was never activated and I continued with my original cell provider. I received notification that Xfinity had taken an automatic payment from my account for cell service. A few days later I was notified that they took a further almost $300.00 payment for phone service, TV and internet. They had charged an additional $100.00 for installation. I called the service representative for an explanation on the cell phone charge and the extra $100.00 installation fee. After almost an hour and 3 different representatives, I cancelled all services. It is a shame that the costs of these services are so high and the citizens of New Mexico have few options. Please think twice before you consider Xfinity. read more

I went to the xfinity store and picked up a modem for internet service. A tech came out on Sunday to see why I couldn't connect and found that I had no cable running to the house. He said he would be back on Monday or Tuesday with more information and help. No one showed. I have been unable to reach a live human at Xfinity after 2 hours of trying - just bots and online support - no help, yet no way to get the status of connecting internet service. Xfinity sent me a new modem saying that they upgraded my internet. I have it hooked up to my TV and I have a Roku device. The Roku device requires a USB port and the new modem doesn't have one. I made several calls to customer service and first I got someone in South Africa and the next one I got someone in India. I have hearing issues and sometimes have trouble understanding the accents over the phone. I requested someone in the US or for a local store phone number and I was told that I would have to keep calling back and maybe I may get someone in the US, they can't transfer calls and don't have local numbers. An Xfinity team showed up on our property to install a line for our neighbor. We discussed at length the route they intended to dig, which was flagged. Our concern was a mature juniper tree near where they intended to dig. We asked them to dig as far from the tree as possible. They showed us a flagged route where they intended to dig, outside the tree drip line. After they left we discovered that they had dug all of two feet within the drip line of the tree! They lied to us. I called customer service. They responded with derision. If our tree dies, I will sue Xfinity for the replacement cost. I have been having outages for about two weeks every couple of days. I work from. home so when I have no internet net I can't work. It goes put for about two or three hours at a time. I called xfinity to find out why this was happening. I was told they were doing upgrades in my area. I asked for a credit and was offered $14.00. Then they offered me a free apple watch. When I call it is an automated system that tells me we know you are experiencing an outage an agent can't help you, then a hang up. I tried to get credit on my bill it only gave me $17. I pay a lot monthly for reliable service. Everything at my house is streamed. Apparently there's a huge outage in my zip code. I have tried to use the chat feature for the billing they transfer me to internet customer support where I am number 87. I have had Xfinity for 14 years. I paid their prices for reliable service and the customer service now I don't have either. My patience is nonexistent now and I have had more then enough. Comcast is awful! I had a technician yesterday as all my 3 services had problems. Obviously related. He just looked at his smartphone and said 'you have not had problems for the last week. That is all he did! He did not even have to come into the house for this statement. He fixed nothing and did not even look at the problems I had. His name is Andreas. He just left. There is no way to access a real person online. You can call and listen to music while they check your address (many times) even after the 5th call to them I get the same recording!. I'm having a non-internet issue, but Xfinity will not talk to me because their system says there is an outage at my address. There is not! And this non-outage has been going on for 72 hours! I don't think it will ever be resolved--oh, because there isn't an issue to resolve! I walked away from comcast/xfinity years ago--and was never happier!--I must have gone a little crazy to think that saving a little money would make it worth it to do business with them again... I have never written a terrible review, but I strongly recommend against using Xfinity Mobile for the following reasons: i stupidly agreed to transfer my phone, iPad, and Apple Watch from T-Mobile to Xfinity, and the guy who did the transfer failed to cancel my iPad & watch, but told me everything was completed. Thus I was billed for three months for services thru T-Mobile & Xfinity. When I tried to get this rectified, I spent 90 minutes with an Xfinity supervisor (whom I waited online for 30 minutes) who told me that there were no lines that needed to be ported to Xfinity so it was T-Mobile's problem. This was in fact, a LIE. I found the line #s on my bill. The next day, I was trying to make phone calls & started getting messages that my bill was unpaid, also untrue. When I called to get this remedied, the person agreed that it was fully paid, but was unable to get my phone working. She did not transfer me to another, more experienced person; she just said she was sorry for the "inconvenience" of having no phone line. That was it! I then spent about an hour with a competent person from T-Mobile who not only got everything done, but is working to get some of the charges dismissed. I truly have never had such a bad experience from a telecom company. I rarely get angry at all, but I have been furious because the people were incompetent and dishonest. Bad experience. read more

Comcast/Xfinity customer service is non-existent. If you contact them, do it through chat as that is the only way to have proof of what they said. If you call, they won't write the correct notes and then blame you. Be prepared to not have the service work when you get your self-install modem (yup, have to do it yourself and fail before they come help). You will be without internet for a few days. Happened at all 3 of my residences. If we had an alternative, we would switch in a heartbeat. read more
