I am a small business in Carlisle PA. I stayed with Xfinity because they told me I would lose my email if I changed providers- I have been told since that's a lie. I have a desktop computer, a credit card machine, one regular phone line, and a security system. No TV. For this they charge me $185 a month (best we can do, you're already a customer so you're not eligible for discounts), and I lose signal at least once a day, and occasionally for days at a time. I would give zero stars but it won't let me. I have been an Xfinity customer for over 20 years today was the last day. I have been having home wifi connectivity issues for over a month and since their AI BOT can't detect an outage or an issue in my area I've been told to reboot, unplug and let it off for a little while before you plug it back in and then go through the app to troubleshoot - none of these suggestions have helped. I have been unable to work a full day without an issues. I have 1 gig of wifi and I'm the only one working from home and on my network daily. Coincidentally my wifi seems to work just fine Monday through Friday after 5/5:30 and on the weekends. Today when I turned my wifi service off I was told my cell phone bill will be going up $75/month since I only have cell service now. Yesterday I called Xfinity for home internet and television. The man I spoke to talked to me about their mobile services. I currently have an iPhone but the screen is all cracked up. after talking to him for about an hour, he talked me in to getting 2 new iPhones. Plus there was $400.00 off of each phone. We had to have him call us back today when we got paid. I waited for a while and it got to be well after 9:00am, so I called them. I explained to this guy what I spoke to the man about last night. So, as we talked this guy said that the only way I would get $400.00 was if I transferred my current number. I told him what the guy said last night. In a pretty cocky manner he said to me that I was wrong. Then he proceeded to say that he knew what he was talking about. That he was '\"what do you think?! That I'm not telling me the truth". I asked for a supervisor. I had to repeat this 4 times. Then he wanted to know why I wanted a supervisor. This conversation did not need an attitude from Xfinity. Trying to set things up with Xfinity this time was BAD. See, doing this was not just today. Last Friday I called in to do the same thing. The woman I spoke to seemed to not understand her job. Again, I asked for a supervisor. She put me on hold to get a supervisor for me. Guess what, there were none available but she would take my number and a supervisor would call me back. No one called. I was promised a two-year triple play price that was not to change. It changed in just a matter of months. Since then the cost of my package has increased on a number of occasions. Yesterday I tried to call and get an explanation on the most recent price increase. The phone number put you into an automated system that is extremely difficult to get through to a human voice and when you do, it's some foreign agent in a far off land who can barely articulate in the English language needless to say no satisfaction on the bill either. All politics or local, and the local politicians in our township have given Comcast exclusive rights to cable. They have us over a barrel with Internet needs that make it foolish to not include their TV package. I feel like a prisoner. read more

My problem started around Dec. 7th, when I was emailed that my payment (mailed on 11/26) was overdue and that I would be charged a $10 late fee and my internet service was due to be disconnected for nonpayment on 12/28. Since my bank has a bill pay service, I tell them who to pay and how much every month. I double-checked to be sure the payment was sent by mail and that the check had not been cashed. Then, I paid the bill again online. I called Comcast Billing and spoke with Meredith, who told me at first that she would note the account, but couldn't do away with the late fee. I finally convinced her to deduct it, and I told her I wouldn't be making a payment in December because it was already paid. When the check went through I called Comcast Billing again and spoke with Rodriguez, asking if he could change the billing so that my bank could electronically send the payments and to keep this from happening again. He said all he could do would be to set up electronic billing. I again explained what I wanted, and he said he couldn't do it because my bank had to contact Billing to change it. Yesterday I contacted my bank and was told that Comcast establishes the type billing and the bank can't change it. I was told to contact Comcast to get the billing information from them. Today I called Comcast....and after 48 minutes (mostly on hold) talking with 2 different reps, the second rep hung up while I was within the first 2 minutes of explaining what I wanted done. NOW!!! I was a customer service rep before I retired, and that type of service would have landed me out on the sidewalk on my butt!! The rep I spoke with, and who hung the phone up on me before I could even get out 3 sentences, did NOT have English as her first language. Actually, none of the reps I spoke with had English as their first language. I realize that complicates communication for both, the caller and the rep. I only wish I had gotten the last rep's name, but I'll bet Comcast has it. This is ABSOLUTELY the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever come into contact with. I've seen monkeys and wild cats that were a LOT more intelligent and willing to get along. It is the JOB of a CUSTOMER SERVICE REP to HELP the caller, NOT hang up on him/her. I am going to do my very best to get something done about the absolutely LOUSEY service I received so this person in particular will either be educated or dismissed. Of course, from what I've been reading for reviews, I doubt seriously Comcast even cares. Like several others, if I could do it I would give Comcast a MINUS 20 rating. It's the first communications company I ever dealt with who didn't know how to communicate and doesn't want to learn. Do you know who nobody seems to have contacted? The FCC. If I could I would rate this xfinity prepaid a zero. It's a joke on all levels. I've made sooo many complaints about the unreliable service and it's always the same routine. A temporary fix and the issue returns. Im constantly having internet connection problems. I don't mind the price but why am I paying for a service that only works half the time???? I've even scheduled for a tech to come out and they never showed up. Over the phone they sound nice and professional but when it comes down to real customer service they fall short. Xfinity internet cuts out multiple times a day and they change the amount of your bill without notice. They don't help even when they're in the wrong. xfinity overall sucks. Absolutely horrible! Triple Play is a joke. You sign a 2 year agreement which sounds good at first. Then after a while Comcast starts taking away some channels. Then they replace those channels with freaking garbage channels. Internet sucks. My son's room which is roughly 15 feet from the router and does not get service. Freaking pathetic! i have never experienced more frustration in my life trying to set up service for an account. i attempted to set up new service online for their blast plus promotion which was internet and basic cable for $49.99 for first 6 months. after spending about an hour online to do this and having to live chat with 2 different "analysts" i was told that i needed to go a comcast center for further verification. they could not tell me why i needed to do this, only that it must be done to complete my order. (let's pause here a moment and let me pontificate that it was the most painfully slow instant messenger convo i've ever had...45 minutes for three questions? wtf!) so i drive a half hour out of my way to get to the comcast center and am asked by the lady at the counter what service i want. wait a red hot second...so the hour i spent online this morning was a complete waste? i give her an order id number from the online encounter and she proceeds to tell me that she cannot give me the price that i was quoted online because they don't have the same promotions at the etown (or any) local office. but i could pay $79.99/mo for the exact same type of service i found online for 49.99! NO EFFIN WAY. so i go back out to my car and call the comcast 800 number. after another 15 minutes on the phone with them (most of the time spent on hold) i am told to go back into the building and the woman will finish the set up at the 49.99 rate. she does, but is unable to schedule installation until 5 days after the time i tentatively set up online. (note: the lady that was actually at the etown desk was quite nice, just an unfortunate hostage of the screwed up comcast policies). MORAL OF THE STORY - i probably should have just said you know what, go screw yourself comcast and not set up service at all. i guess i'm a glutton for punishment...however, fios and u-verse are not available where i live, and century link is more expensive. we were sick of the non-existent service we got from clear wireless, so comcast it is for now. hopefully in a year or two there will be more options. :end of rant: read more

Have had all the local channels with my Xfinity service. On the road trying to watch something on Fox - it wants me to login through my TV provider, I login to Xfinity - then get a message " Fox tv is not part of your service package"!. So I call the "most Frustrating Menu Driven Customer service #" and Finally I speak with the first person who tells me I Do have Fox and should be able to see it anywhere. he then send me over to the "Technical team" - the second guy not sure about the error Reset something and after 10 minutes says try it now. Still getting the error. The second guy then, without a word transfers me to a third person in "Phone services" department!!! Really? When I asked to be transferred to the cancelation department the lady there was a trigger happy Staff who canceled my account Without a moment of hesitation or any attempts to evaluate the situation or try to resolve my issue. We called Sunday to set up an appointment for Friday today between 230-430. At 445 we called and got a recording that the technician would arrive between 430-455PM. At 515 PM my husband called and was informed by the office that the technician had called and found "no one home". That is what he wrote on the order slip! This was not true. My husband's cell phone never rang. He purposely was IN THE HOUSE the entire time waiting. "And, we were informed that it could not be done any more today. They then said they could come Saturday between 12-5 PM. Horrible customer service!! They had both our home & his cell number on record. Customer for 3 years. Good internet. Does well for streaming. Never goes down. The X1 system is slow, not at all like the commercials indicate. It locks up at least twice a week. On demand is unavailable at least once a week. Picture quality is good. They have a good amount of on demand content. Major complaint is the pricing. I pay $130/month for one box, no DVR, 90 HD channels, $5 sports package, and internet. The double/triple play is a good value, but the price just keeps going up and up after that. Then they add insult to injury by sending me mailings or displaying offers in my online Comcast account that I am not eligible for. They only seem to care about attracting new customers, not keeping existing ones happy. I should probably switch back and forth between them and Direct TV but that's a pain. Problem solving over the phone is very hit or miss. If you have any tech sense or common sense, you are more likely to diagnose the problem before they do. The techs they have sent out have been quite good. Have had the same cable box for 6 months, which is probably the longest any of them have lasted. read more

Xfinity is a terrible Internet provider. My service is interrupted many times a day. If I call for assistance all they can do to help to tell the reset my modem or trade it for another (which hasn't fixed this persisting issue is sn the slightest) then they pat themselves on the pack and lie on their reviews saying that they fixed the problem and were very helpful in doing so. If I lived somewhere where I could switch providers I'd do it in a heartbeat. read more

Be careful, they lie to you when signing up. they tell you you are locked in to one price for the first year and another price for the 2nd year for your contract but they don't tell you that your amount can go up anytime in between them two years.
