Comcast has the worst customer service I have ever been associated with. Had used them for more than 25 years. But then they raised my monthly service fee by more than 40%. When I called and asked what they could do they said nothing... It is what it is. Now, I go to get on my Comcast email account and it has been closed. No warning. Just closed. When I called about this once again there is nothing they can do. This is just a sampling as to why they were voted the worst customer service. I switched to verizon. We are required to use them because of the deal cable companies work out with one another. So let me start a list of all the issues: 1. Internet connection constantly drops. We have the middle options and we have constant problems! The router/modem system they have is absolutely terrible. 2. They charge to come in and look at THEIR faulty equipment. My parents have Armstrong and they NEVER charge to come out and fix a problem whether it is their fault or the fault of the customer. 3. They promise not to charge for things, then when the next bill comes in, lo and behold a charge. 4. Customer service takes forever to get through hold. If you have ANY options other than Comcast, including rubbing sticks together in order to get signal for cable and internet, choose that over Comcast. read more

Bill goes up $50 and call to see what happened. Your promo ended,how would you like to pay. So I ask why my promo ended in 6 mos. when I was told it was for a year. Customer rep says, I'm sorry but your bill tells you when your promo period is over, maybe you were confused because your HBO promo is for a year. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding how would you like to pay. I say, I'd like my promo restored and the month that was billed incrrectly fixed. Rep. says, we can offer you the current promotion but you need to be current with your bill, how would you like to pay. Don't use Comcast. They over charge you monthly. This month, my account was over charged $180. It is completely unacceptable. The wait time with customer service is always going to be over an hour and you are sure to be transferred over 10 times just to get to the correct department. If you have a special show you like to watch, the cable will probably drop out at the climax. You will be promised things like premium channels for your inconvenience, but they will never be activated on your television, however, these "complimentary" additions will show up on your next bill. If a tech service specialist is meant to show up at your house, you will spend the hours of 8am-7pm waiting for them to arrive, only to be stood up by this wonderful company with no phone call, email, or any form of notification other than their own incompetence. If you are looking for a wonderful way to waste your time, and run up the minutes on your phone bill, then I would highly recommend Comcast. Opened up a new account and received a faulty cable box... after 45 minutes with customer service trying to trouble shoot I had to take a day off work and make a schedule appointment for cable service to come. No biggie. I waited for 3 and half hours for the cable guy to come. Never showed. Then upon calling customer service yet again, after 6 department transfers and 45 minutes on the line I got someone who spoke English to tell me the "cable guy" came and no one was home.... Comcast is the single worst customer service experience I've had in my life. There was a $20 bump in my bill in April and I've been on the phone for more than 12 hours trying to a)figure out why my bill changed so drastically when I had a year-long deal and b)negotiate a price that was within my budget. Every month, someone promised me to fix my bill, credit my account, and make sure the same mistake was avoided in the future. And every month, I still got a bill that was way more than I ever agreed to pay. I finally gave up on phone communication and sent a complaint in via their website. I was called two days later and told that I was actually being undercharged and that there would be an $8/month increase to my bill. WTF?! Bye comcast, you all suck major weiners. read more

I think I am more pissed I got swindled into comcast, we got the x1 on Saturday and since then to Wednesday we have had just a couple of hours of TV, so I called the "customer service" and I use that sarcastically, they are absolutely horrible at 1800comcast they hang up on you, tell you that you should take off work to wait for the repair guy like everyone else. The call back included, we don't have an update on when your service will be fixed so we will update you soon. My roommate and I have called them almost every day for the past two weeks. The worst cable/Internet provider. Period. I've lived in a lot of different places, and their service is terrible on all accounts. The phone support is frustrating, online support is close to non-existant, and the actual service is horrifying. I've had cable at my new place for less than a week and it has gone out twice. In addition to that, when they came to install it, they only installed the cable - and incorrectly - when I had ordered both cable and Internet, so I had to do it myself except I couldn't without waiting for the agent who did the TV installation to turn in all of his paperwork. Sad sad sad. I've been a customer for 7 years. Triple play max package. I relocated and requested new service. It's been 1 month I've had 3 cancellations. Every time I call I speak with someone In the Philippines. I'm still waiting. The second Fios is available I'm on it. This is the worst customer experience ever. No professionalism. No courtesy. Not sure why only people with negative experiences write a review for Comcast! I personally have never had any major issues. I LOVE the high speed internet. I have 20mbps and it is so freakin fast, even on my wireless connection at the complete other end of my house I can download things over 10mbps which IMHO is great for wireless. As far as TV goes, I have the premier channel line up. I don't watch a lot of live tv, so I also have the anyroom dvr which is great. I just wish that you could set up and delete recordings from the small boxes, because you can only do that from the main one with this service. I mainly watch recorded shows or things on demand, which I love. On demand is really only worth it IMO if you have things like HBO and Starz because otherwise the free movies on demand are not ones I am interested in. I like Pay Per View, it is nicer than having to rent movies from block buster like I used to back in the day. As far as phone service goes, I tried it, hated it. Got nothing but soliciting calls but I think I had a phone number that belonged to someone who owed bad debt. I did think it was cool that we got a notice on our TVs and on our computers when a call was coming in. You could also check your call records, voice mail, and manage other features online too. Since I didn't use it a lot, I cancelled it. All in all, I love my cable. When I have called in for problems with my box not responding to the remote, I found out that unplugging the power for a few seconds fixed it. Cable is turning into a higher type of technology, where sometimes circuits just fail and freeze for no reason, like computers do from time to time. I don't blame Comcast for that, I blame the manufacturers (like Motorolla) who make the boxes. Hopefully they will continue to come out with higher end and more stable equipment in the future. read more

Roberts, If your the type of Ceo that cares about Comcast customers, I would like for you to listen to a story about my experience with your company. On Thursday, June 20th,2013, I called to establish service in my new home. I received an email saying that I have an installation appointment on the Sunday the 23rd between 8am and 8pm. Sunday came and no technician showed up. I called and they apologized and stated that I received the wrong email. The agent told me that it was a it was a self-installation kit and no technician was to come to my home. The agent informed me that I should be up and running on Tuesday. I received the kit, preformed the installation and it didnt work. I called back and was told that no one came to check the cable lines on the pole near my house. An ER1 number was established and I was told an technician will come install service by 5pm on Wednesday.I informed the agent that I need service installed by the 27th for a surprise birthday party for my husband. I was told some will be there by 5pm. After THAT time passed I called again,but this time to cancel because I spoke to at least five agents and no one had knowledge of the events or knew that a technician was coming so I had to tell my story over and over again. At this point, I knew it was time to give up, I would not have the Xfinity expedience, I was just going to cancel service. She asked me to give Comcast one more chace, made offers to me but if informed her that if I don't have service by Thursday, the 27th, please just cancel my order,she put me on hold and transfer me to a another agent that made me an appointment for June27th and a technician will be at my home between 8am and 10am, I felt good about this and agreed. So, today is the 27th and its 11am and no technician! I am in tears and I am in rage. I get the feeling that nobody truly cares and I'm being played with. Time is running out for me to deal with Comcast. My husband loves Breaking Bad and True Blood and his birthday would have been a great day to watch his shows with friends and family.Honestly, its hard to be diplomatic at this point. Yes, I called once again and was told that someone named Mike Ortiz cancelled the appointment with no notes, no call, no consideration for what I have been through. The rep said that whom ever made the appointment was in error and will be in talked to. Now I'm being told that no one can come until June 30th. I'm wondering why someone would be in trouble for doing what NOBODY ELSE in your company did for me, provide good customer service.What about the other Comcast employees whom just flat out lied to me? As a two-account subscriber, I have just been put through the ringer by the COMCAST staff (mostly in India). On May 2, 2014 we received 3 letters stating that we were going to lose channels because we had a certain level of service, Basic HD, (which we didn't). We had a XF Preferred Double Play. Signed-up in October 2013. When I called to inquire about the letters I got a very hard to understand rep named "Louis". He frustrated me so bad with his broken English and lack of comprehension, I asked for a supervisor. "Monica" enters the fray. While not much better, at least (as I thought) we were making progress. She offered us a package "for our inconvenience" $50 less than what we were paying. It was also a Triple Play instead of a Double Play. We were forced to get a phone modem (which we didn't need) but still a lower rate. No such luck. This was the first lie. Our service was downgraded to basic and we lost MANY important channels. And, Monica told us that "any room DVR" meant you could physically take the DVR to any room. Really? On-line Customer Service Chat, I spoke with Adrian then his supervisor Mdrizwan. He didn't comprehend the problem either. I finally terminated the online Chat. Our service remained basic and this time NO DVR. To increase frustration, during the NFL draft, we could not access the programming because they cut the NFL channel. Our next call was to an English speaking rep by the name of Michele. She signed us up to a package for $166.94 plus tax. Sounded good, right? Wrong. No service change but we got tagged a $2.99 service change and an installation charge of $2.99. Our next call was to Karen in Michigan. Surely she could help. Well we got our service back and a bill that went from $192 to $233. Today, 6 June 2014, we talked to Charlie, Paul and Roy, all Indian. Roy was with the retention and billing division. NO HELP! He kept trying to up our service rate to $202. While he apologized profusely, he didn't offer to return our service to the $192 rate we were now willing to go back to and call it a day. "It is no longer available." BS! After arguing with him for about 25 minutes about what was and what wasn't the correct rate, we hung up. Bottom line: COMCAST has lost a customer with two accounts. ATT U-verse will likely be the beneficiary of this gross incompetence and Bait and Switch tactics. I am thoroughly disgusted with COMCAST. I will go to the Internet with this story. Comcast's customer service is a joke. Last week, I scheduled an appointment for them to install cable in my apartment, but they did not show up at the scheduled time. I called repeatedly to ask for a status update and they kept telling me that the technician "was on his way". I wound up waiting around for more than 7 hours but no one ever came. I called the corporate office the next day to complain, but they did not seem to care. I have come to the conclusion that Comcast simply does not care about its customers. Although I am new to Yelp, I felt compelled to write this review in order to spread the word about Comcast's appalling service. If enough of us complain, hopefully Comcast will get the message that they need to change. If I could give Comcast negative 100 stars, I would. Just horrendous. I terminated service when I moved in February 2013 (2 years ago). When I called to terminate my service, the representative asked if I wanted to transfer my service and if I did, they would walk me through a self-install. While waiting for my movers, my TV, internet and phone go out. Comcast did something right for once. They obviously disconnected my service. So, I give Comcast my cell number and asked that they call around 7:00pm when I would be at home to set up service at my new place. They called at least twice a day for weeks (not once at the time I requested). After being completely fed up with that, I returned my equipment and paid what I thought was my final bill. I would have had no way of knowing what my bills were, as their system didn't recognize me as the "administrator" of the account (strange since it was in my name only) and would only let me pay the bill, not view it. I got a better deal with Direct TV and went happily on with my life...or so I thought. In January 2015, I get a notice from a collection agency stating that I owe Comcast almost $500. After requesting validation of the debt (and receiving none), and reporting said agency to regulating agency, while reporting Comcast to FCC for good measure, I finally get copies of Comcast's invoices. They charged me for the next six months after I moved. So, I get a call from their corporate escalation department and played phone tag with them for 3 weeks. They'd call me, I'd miss their call and call them back 3 times and then the cycle would start over again. By the way, can we take up a collection to buy Comcast's customer service representatives clocks? Or maybe just teach them how to tell time? While waiting for my return phone calls, I am looking at said invoices and realize that they bill a month ahead. AND I actually paid for 3 of those months that I didn't actually have service because I was not living there anymore. I seriously have to thank them for pointing out that I overpaid them almost as much as they're asking me to pay in collections. I finally actually am by the phone when the corporate escalation representative calls me and I explain the situation. He pulls up the account and tries to tell me that the last payment I made to them was in January 2013, and no payments made in April and May. I guess we're not looking at the same bills. Besides, I have copies of my bank statements. He also tells me that there was some sort of service call at my old apartment in June 2013, so I must have still been there. I have an envelope full of proof that I signed my life away on a mortgage and moved. After a few minutes of talking to him and telling him that Comcast actually owes ME money, I find out that he really doesn't have much information on my account other than a couple of notes and that he has to look into it further. He had 3 weeks worth of phone tag to get the information. Then he tells me that he'll email me his contact information and direct email so that I can get a hold of him. Of course, that never happened. After two months, I still have no resolution. read more

I had been with At&T for 13 years and wanted to keep them but, Uverse was not offered at my new address and Directv wouldn't work due to the tree coverages. So, I went with Comcast/Xfinity and absolute NIGHTMARE with customer service and there understanding of there product. I was warned there CS is poor but the product works great, and my friends are right!!! 1. Was told didn't need installer. Moved in nothing worked. Called CS, told me I was given wrong infomration. As a brand new customer, Comcast scheduled a tech to come out to my home on 8/18/2014 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm (I left work early to be there by 5). At 6:30pm, I received a call from the tech saying he was running late and wouldn't be there until 7:30pm-7:45pm and would call me if anything changed. By 8:30pm they still hadn't arrived or called me back. At this point I called customer service and let them know what was going on. They told me I could reschedule my appointment for the next morning, or wait. I couldn't take more time off work so I decided to wait and they told me someone would call me by 9:00pm to give me an update. AT 9:15pm, no one had arrived and I still hadn't received a call back. I called customer support again and they told me that no one goes out that late and he didn't know why the first customer service rep would tell me that. I got a friend to come over to meet the comcast guy for my rescheduled appointment on 8/19/14 at 9:00am. I was assured that they would be there right at 9 and I would be first priority. By 11:15am no one had arrived to hook up my cable and I didn't receive a call to let me know no one would be coming. I called customer service back and cancelled the plan. This is the worst customer service I've ever seen. I will never purchase any services or products from this company again. read more

Comcast customer service for Seniors in Delaware. My parents have Comcast trip Play and they are in their 80's. Their phone service quite on 1/9 and called it in. The service Tech said they can not get to it until the afternoon of the 10th. At 4PM a second call was placed and the agent stated it had been scheduled for Monday afternoon and they could not help. This is absolutely terrible services for Seniors. I highly suggest anyone with Senior parents ensure their parents us one of the traditional phone companies that know how to handle home repairs. The worst customer service. I just joined comcast two weeks ago. Everything was fine for two full weeks, then one day we invited neighbors over to watch a movie. Well, all of a sudden we have to pay for channels we already had been paying for. I called customer service and after 50 minutes spoke with someone who ensured the problem would be corrected after 30 minute wait. I turned on the tv 40 minutes later and still no channels we had been paying for I attempted the "chat" online which I was number 94 to be selected....as soon as it got to 60 chat was unavailable...then I was on the phone ANOTHER 45 minutes to try to talk to a person about this. It has become clear to me that Comcast's method for dealing with customers' complaints of being overbilled is to agree on the phone to fix the problem and then never actually fix it. Here is my story. I signed up for a six-month promotion in April 2012. The promotion ended after six months and for month #7 the price of my package increased by $25. No problem there; that was expected. But then, for month #8, the price increased by another $47 -- with no change in service requested or given! CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL #1: I called customer service and after about 20 minutes, the rep agreed that I had been overcharged. She assured me that my account would be credited appropriately. I thanked her and hung up. CALL #2: About two weeks later my bill arrived in the mail and I noticed that the credit had not been applied. I thought maybe that paper bill had been generated before my credit was processed so I checked my account online and still, no change. So I called customer service again. Again, the rep, a woman named Ruth, agreed that I had been overcharged. However, the amount to be credited was more than she was authorized to address directly, so she referred my case to Accounts Management. She assured me that the matter would be taken care of and that Accounts Management would call me to confirm that the credit had been authorized. I waited a week and no call came. CALL #3: So I called customer service again. The rep agreed that I had been overcharged and assured me that a credit would appear on my next bill. (Does anyone see a pattern here?) My next bill came and no credit had been applied. CALL #4: I called customer service and spoke to a woman named Naomi. Naomi explained to me that Comcast's promotions last six months, and that after six months, another six-month promotion would become active, though the price is typically a little higher - in other words, the price would go up in month #7 and then again in month #13. When I pointed out that my price had actually increased in month #7 and then increased again in month #8, she could not explain it, and eventually ended up agreeing with me that I had been overcharged. She said she needed to send my account to Revenue Assurance for further review. She promised that she would call me back in a few days to follow up. A week went by and no call came. However, I did receive a letter from Comcast stating that after reviewing my account, they had discovered they had UNDER-billed me for several months and that my rates would increase beginning in the following month! CALL #5: I called customer service again and asked to speak to someone in Accounts Management. They transferred me to a man named Junior Baez and after speaking for about 45 minutes, Junior agreed that I had been overcharged for several months and said that my account would be credited. When I complained that several other Comcast agents had given me the same guarantee and then failed to follow through, Mr. Baez assured me that he is more reliable than the other agents and that he would take care of it. He said that he would be my "go-to guy." He said that he would call me on the phone when the issue was resolved to follow up. I asked him how long it would take to resolve and he said it would be 24-48 hours. He then guaranteed that even if the matter were not resolved in 48 hours, he would call me to give me an update. Two business days went by (actually four days if but that included a weekend) and no call came! And no, I wasn't surprised at this point. Mr. Baez finally did call me back today - the third business day after saying he'd call me after two - and left a message on my voice mail saying that the matter was resolved and that my account had been credited with $282, which was the proper amount according to my calculations: six months of being overbilled by $47. Finally, it's over, right? WRONG. I checked online to see if my online account actually did reflect this and no, it didn't. CALL #6: So I called customer service earlier today to confirm that what Mr. Baez said was true. The rep said, "Yes, we have applied a $149 credit to your account." I informed the rep that no, the amount to be credited is $282. She reviewed my account and of course, agreed that I had been overcharged and would be due $282. She assured me that the credit would be applied and that she would call me back to confirm. By now, I knew not to trust this line and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor came on the phone and said that the other agents had been mistaken and that I was only due a credit of $149. However, she offered no reason for this other than to say, "That is the amount we overcharged you." There remains no change to my online account, so I have no reason to believe they have any intention of giving me even that smaller amount. Clearly, Comcast can afford to cheat its customers of hundreds of dollars and there is essentially no accountability. read more

This review is for their XFinity TV Service. Zero stars if I could. I have had Comcast in the past, and had no problems with them until now. I started out with their internet service, which I still have and love. Great speed with no interruptions...love it, so far. Time will tell. Now let's get to the Xfinity Service. I called to get their service installed. They are the only company that charges for installation in my experience. I currently have AT&T, and have had Dish Network, and DirectTV. Upon installation everything seemed fine....until I received my first bill. THEY CAN SCREW UP A BILL IN A SNAP OF A FINGER! The first thing I noticed underneath my name was that I was signed up for a XFinity "Latino" bundle. Well, I am not Latino. I called to question them and make the change to whatever wasn't Latino. I was told that they didn't know how that happened, but they could make the changes WITH CHARGES. I had only had the service a month....how could I incur more charges? Apparently the Latino bundle has more channels, and costs less than just a regular XFinity package. The changes are made, and I am still under contract at this point, so what choices to I have? Then I decided to get 2 more cable boxes for my other tv's. I was told over the phone that it can be done wirelessly through my internet. So, I proceed to the local service center to get my other cable boxes. I get home, and install them, and they don't work. I cal them to seek technical support. I was told on the phone wireless is not possible. There must be a cable attached to each and every box. I live in an older home with no cable outlets, so I am informed they can run the cable around the trim of my home and drill holes in my home to where the cable boxes are and run the cable that way. This was not acceptable to me. Nobody is drilling holes into my home! So, I take the 2 cable boxes back to my local service center, and tell him my situation. This man at my local service center tells me...."Don't call them....they don't know what they are doing". SERIOUSLY?!? Because I still had time to cancel my contract (they changed my contract when I added the two additional boxes and made the switch from Latino to regular), I did so promptly. I was and still am happy that I do not use XFinity TV service. FYI......they charge $150 for installation when the competitors charge nothing. NEVER AGAIN COMCAST! Hey Comcast, come and pick up you POS equipment. Yesterday I waited for you to show up and fix my issues of no sound, pixelating, screen freezing, and "wait this channel is not currently available". The service call was from 1-3pm. YOUR tech showed up at 5pm smelling of alcohol and cigarettes. His order, replace two boxes. Thirty minutes later he was gone replacing my two main boxes. Well lo and behold the issue is STILL NOT FIXED. So what do I do, I call 1-800-COMCAST and get Brian who hangs up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor or floor manager, this after being on hold while Brian went to look for a supervisor. I call back and get Alexis. Well she was "very sorry" and told me so about 30 times. She also could not find a supervisor and asked if one could call me back in about five minutes. That is fine and I hang up. Fifteen minutes later supervisor Lester called me back and does nothing for my problem. I request a field supervisor to respond today and the EARLIEST appointment I was given was Friday between 1-3, and no guarantee that a senior tech or supervisor would be sent out. So much for customer service or being able to watch my television. I guess I have to go over to Fellowship Rd. and drag a supervisor out of the break room, or find a tech sleeping at Wawa to look into this. read more

Comcast is the worst! From their customer service to their tech support. I have wireless internet and wanted to connect a new laptop. I had to call customer service so they could tell me where to find the password to connect. The rep said, we can change your password to something easier to remember. Great, right?! Hell no. We changed the password but she failed to tell me I had to reset the router & change the password thru my computer settings. So, I called back and got someone even more idiotic. This rep tells me that I need to talk to their Customer Gold solutions center which I get transferred and was outsourced to India and guess what? I couldn't understand a word she was saying. All I heard was that they would remote into my computer and do a diagnostic check. At that point, then they would tell me if there was a cost involved. I get transferred to a 4th person who told me before he could do anything, I would need to sign a contract for $9.95 a month for tech support. I hung up on the ass! I wasted 3 days of my life trying to get my computer back online. Luckily, I have techie friends who hooked me back up for free. COMCAST, you suck! read more

I hesitate to bash these guys, only because I have good friends that work there. However, the customer service is a complete joke and always has been. Of course, if you don't know this already, you are probably from another planet. I always tell my friends they need to improve the call centers there. I tried to sign up for new service and it was a major headache, and for some reason they never sent me a bill except when they said I was two months past due and had to pay in a few days or the service would be cut off. We have switched from direct tv to comcast so many times and now I remember why. I remember when I would (rarely) have a problem with service with direct tv they were awesome in helping me fix it. In our new house we have a problem with our wifi every week and have had people come out a few times to fix it. It will work and then stop again. When I call customer service they always make comments like I have no idea why that technician would do that and other things along those lines. After the 3rd consecutive week of this happening I requested to speak with a supervisor after a half hour of waiting I just asked to speak with a wifi specialist who could hopefully (again) help me solve this problem. I was placed on the phone with "Anthony" and he was very condescending from the beginning. He kept interrupting me and being very rude. When I was telling him our phone number on the account he was saying things like "too fast now let's slow down" and then when I slowed down he was like "yup yup yup". I would have hung up but I had already waited so long and just wanted this fixed, even though I knew he was making this a joke. When I told him I was the daughter of the account holder I explained I do this every week and my name and phone number is also on the account because my mom does not understand these types of things so I handle them. (I do this every week!) He was then saying "he doesn't care and will only speak with the account holder" I said okay but I am letting you know she will not understand. My mom then asked how she can put me on the account and he proceeded to say he doesn't care so we hung up. A minute later we had a call from a restricted number with "Anthony" saying horrible things to my mom. It was probably a cell phone. I have never experienced worse customer service or supervision In a buisness. People seemed to not care what so ever. When I called back they seemed flustered but at the same time did not really care. This is a disgusting company and it is no wonder it is rated worst in customer service.
