I was really hoping to take advantage of real home theater equipment with a dedicated receiver and speakers instead of having to settle for a sound bar yet again. To say that Adam was the perfect find in my quest for this project would be an understatement! From our first meeting where he swung by for a walkthrough of my space and I had the opportunity to first describe my end goal I knew he was who I wanted to work with. His undivided attention to my vision and patience answering all my questions peppered with critical advice wherever needed was exactly what I needed. I decided to proceed with hiring him for my project after our initial sync. Right from the beginning he was very cognizant of my budget and needs and did a fantastic job helping me choose just the right equipment I'd need to truly get the most out of my investment. The amount of time and effort he invested in addressing all my questions/concerns and helping me narrow down things to the best components for the space and my price range is something I will always really appreciate. We went over a few quotes and settled on the final setup after which we collaborated on purchasing the equipment(some of the components I purchased directly, while the rest he procured for me from his distributors). Adam kept me posted at every step of the way from ordering through delivery of the necessary equipment until we finally scheduled the install date once we had all the equipment delivered. On the install date, Adam arrived promptly, and set out to work tirelessly until the entire room was wired up, equipment installed and perfectly callibrated and my mind blown with the final result. He did a fantastic job of running the required speaker wire under the baseboards and mounting the equipment(including an 83" panel) cleanly, and then calibrating the entire system for the space. Additionally I'd requested some help with lighting in a few spaces. Even though the overall work went over by a few hours compared to what was originally quoted(which is perfectly reasonable for the quality of work performed), and for which I'd have gladly paid him for his efforts, Adam only charged me for the hours that he'd originally quoted me. That type of integrity is just rare to come across! His work ethic, attention to detail and honesty is inspiring and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone that has similar needs for a project. I've included a few pictures of the before and after setup of the space mentioned above.

He also wired internet line from my router in my office through the crawl space to the cabinet. So happy with the install and the way it looks....really clean. Also wired another volume control for my home speaker system. I got a couple quotes and his was the best. Had some guys wanting to drill holes and set up conduit through the outside of my house. A year later and Adam is still prompt with answering occasional questions. Highly recommended. You'll be happy with the end product.

All of the sophistication and no-nonsense excellence…read moreof Speakeasy is gone, replaced by a shambolic ineptitude and corporate dysfunction that made Comcast look like a good idea. I had DSL from Speakeasy for a decade and then several years of business voice and DSL from them before they were subsumed into Megapath. I signed my last three year contract with them in October of 2013 and have been trying to get them to cancel my service for more than a month since it ended. First they offered to have the Cancellations department call me to send a shipping label for the equipment I leased from them. When that call failed to materialize, I called them again and they told me that they had renewed my contract without my consent. I have invited them to take me to court for it. Perhaps you will do better with them. Every big corporation has earned some nasty reviews, including my current ISP. Even so, I am ditching Megapath for their ongoing inability to provide reliable voice and data services and their equivocation during my last service interruption. I elected to get service from Comcast after my latest outage where my retail business had no internet service for four days. My shop uses cloud-based POS software and authorizes credit card purchases over the net. I was obliged to buy a mobile hotspot to keep things working during the outtage. During that time, Megapath tech support expressed confusion that I had voice but not other net service working and denied that the problem was something anyone else was experiencing. After a day or two of this, they admitted that the issue was known and widespread and that they were trying to resolve it and would call me back. They did not call back and my efforts to call for updates got me nowhere. In fairness, many of their tech people came from Speakeasy and are smart and decent people but the business side of the operation is too much for me. Perhaps they'll squeeze the money for their so-called contract out of me after litigation. Because the tech folks are so decent, I probably would have continued suffering the bad connectivity--the copper lines and related hardware in my area are leased from Centurylink and can't be relied on in rain, and it rains all the time here--but the fact of the matter is that when I described my outtage to them, they pretended that it was a unique occurrence instead of a widespread, already known issue. They weren't selling me a reliable connection, and when they lost my trust, there was nothing left to keep me from trying a different broadband technology from a different giant corp.

I immediately filed a complaint and by the time they got back to me it was past the 30 cancel policy. I've tired numerous times to connect with them and all I get is the run around! I hate to sounds stupid but HelloTech just plan old sucks!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!! The tech asked for a towl to clean with but as you see he did nothing with it he asked me to! There were 2 bolts left in the old mount and he asked me if he could remove them and I said ok then he changed me another 150 bucks but didn't tell me it until I received the bill after he left! I could go on and on but I strongly advise stay away no customer service nor do they care. When i complained about the installer they said thank you for letting us know but offered nothing!!!!

They never called or emailed me. So I rescheduled for the next day between 9am-12pm, no show, no call, no email. Figured one more try, rescheduled for the next day, guess what? NO SHOW, NO CALL, NO EMAIL. I cannot believe this company is in business and I am not even sure it's a real company because I was never able to contact anybody. It also took almost 3 weeks to have the hold released on my credit card that they put for the service and the only reason it was released is because I can contested the charge with my credit card. I would not recommend this company to anybody.!
