I switched to Comcast from century link a year ago and have been very pleased with the service. However, at the end of the contract period expect a sizable increase in the cost of service for the next 12 months. My bill increased 50% at the end of the period. A year later update, after being without service for two days now my Linksys modem and TP Link router won't work. Comcast referred me to Linksys after an hour on the phone and Linksys says there is nothing they can do if I can't hard wire my computer to the modem. Time to change providers and equipment. Next day. I made one last call to cancel service and happened to get a technician in Denver who wanted to send a technician to my home. That person showed on time the next day to test my modem and router. He disconnected the coaxial wire from the modem to hook it to a modem he brought to see if there was a signal; and there was. Then he tested the router, hooking it to his modem. The router worked. He went to the truck to get a rental modem which I had 30 days to return without charge while I purchased a new one. Before doing that he happened to reconnect the coax to the old modem and went out to his truck. When he returned the old modem was now working for the first time since the internet outage, probably because of the coax disconnect and reconnect. read more

I will never step foot in this store again. I am officially canceling ALL of my business with Xfinity. They will never receive another dime from me. I have had multiple terrible experiences at this location, but my most recent visit was the absolute breaking point. I purchased an iPhone 17 Pro in January from them a phone that costs well over $1,000.00, and it has broken down repeatedly. Leaving me with out service many times for days at a time. (I did end up going to the Riverdale Xfinity store after this, and when they deemed the phone defective and activated service on my other phone and advised I make an insurance claim with respect and kindness, I found it even more frustrating that I did not receive any solution in the Layton store closer to my house.) All I asked for was them to fix the defective phone they sold me, or simply swap my active service over to the backup iPhone so I wouldn't be left disconnected. Instead of doing their jobs, the staff was extremely rude right out of the gate. To make it worse, I pay for insurance through Xfinity. Yet this woman didn't offer a single solution. Her brilliant answer was to tell me to take it to an Apple store, which is what they did last time, and I had to pay someone else to fix the phone previously. Why would I go to an Apple store where I did not purchase the phone from? So they can charge me for fixing it? I advised her of this or attempted to before she cut me off with "Well, we cant do a return, we cant do an exchange, and we cant help you now get out of my store." Wow, really, you cant help me with a $1,000.00 phone I bought from you in January? You cant help a customer who pays every month and carries insurance. Who can you help? Little did these employees know I was already living through a nightmare that day; my friend's son was in the ICU on a ventilator from a drowning accident, and I desperately needed a working phone for updates and support. Despite being completely overwhelmed and upset by my personal situation, I started out patient, but as the interaction went on, the staff's attitude only got nastier and ruder. When I finally matched their energy and got upset at how poorly I was being treated, a woman working there actually had the audacity to threaten to call the police on me and have me trespassed from the store. Threatening a paying customer with law enforcement because your store sold a defective phone for $1,000.00 + product, and your staff lacks basic human empathy is utterly PATHETIC! It feels like this place is run by a bunch of untrained, rude teenagers who have absolutely no idea how to treat people with professional courtesy or respect. I even advised that young lady "I am a frustrated customer, put yourself in my shoes for 2 seconds and imagine how I feel. Please don't take it personally; I just really need access to a phone." I'm allowed to have an upset tone without being threatened with police. I was not threatening or cursing at them. There seriously needs to be a corporate-level investigation into this building and the sheer volume of complaints coming out of this store. They treated me like a criminal for wanting the phone service I pay for actually to work during a critical family emergency! It is sickening! The people in the Layton store were nice and I would rate them much higher. BUT... No phone numbers are published except the 1-800... number that takes you to the #&$%$#$! computerized service. The disembodied voice says it can connect you to a live agent any time. Bull#^%#^$!!! You can't get past the gatekeeper. This last time, I was calling to speak to the people in Layton to see if the part I needed had arrived. NOOOOO. The computerized gatekeeper wouldn't let me pass. It even wanted to cancel my membership. I found an old local phone number for the Layton store, but was told by a recording something like this: "You have called an unattached Comcast number. Please call 1-800-..." If there was another provider where I am at, I would jump on it. This Xfinity by Comcast is by far the worst service provider I've ever had to deal with. Xtinity/ Comcast are one of the absolute worst companies I have ever dealt with. But everyone already knows this. If you are selecting them it's most likely because your options are limited. If you have literally any other option, go with that one. The office told me I was free and clear when I turned in my equipment. I was surprised when I received notification of an auto pay for a full amount. Called to inquire and told it was a mistake and would receive a refund. When I didn't, I contacted my bank and they re-cooped it. The following month they tried billing me again. Once again I called and was told I was good to go and "to ignore it." That didn't sound correct, but also knew I didn't actually owe them any money, so I did. Imagine my surprise when 1 month later I get notification that my bill had been sent to collections. Never in my entire life had I have something go to collections. The gentleman at collections was 10x more competent than anyone I had spoken to at Xfinity. read more

Ilol start by saying that Xfinity and comcast is the biggest ripoff Ive ever seen! I went to ask about Xfinity streaming. They got me a box and hookups and all that stuff. All I needed was to download the app and install on my TV but they dont tell you that. They would rather charge you rent for the box. Then they asked if I wanted a phone deal I asked about it then I declined. I was sent a phone in the mail. I went to return it and they said I had to mail it back. They sent my shipping l;abel to the wrong email address!!!! I waited a month! They got the label to the correct address but charged me for a month of service! The lady at the riverdale office was no help at all! She was also rude. Finally the manager cleared things up (he was the one to find the wrong email address). I commend him but the lady ( I hate using that word to describe her) just did nothing and treated me like a deadbeat! They lure you in with special deals. Then they slowly hike up the prices without you realizing it until you've had service with them for a few years (because there has been no major competitor nearby). They also bait and switch you with plans. They made me pay for a phone line for an ipad for a year after they told me it was free. Then after the year was up I tried to cancel it. They said it was cancelled but they just kept billing me for it. Three times I have tried to cancel that ipad line and every time they tell me they have cancelled it they still keep charging me for it! Also I recently switched to Connext fiber internet. I asked Comcast to disconnect my service INCLUDING THE IPAD and stop charging me. Instead they just left the ipad on there and continued to charge me $111.59 a month for basic internet. I am SO frustrated because just getting to speak with someone is a pain in the butt. And when I do get to speak with someone, they lie to me and tell me they will fix my problems yet they continue to charge my account for service that I asked to be disconnected as far back as February 7th of this year. 2 things are unfortunate: 1. Yelp doesn't let me rate with 0 stars; and 2. My original rating/post of XFINITY is overwritten by this update. Summary of initial rating. 1 star (because 0 still wasn't an option). Poor service, unresponsive service reps, and poor service (repeated intentionally). My wife called ComCast yesterday to have our landline removed from our service. We literally never, ever use it. In fact, it's more problematic than anything in that the bluetooth connection with the handsets and cell phones is screwed up and confuses things more than helps. So we just called to terminate the unnecessary home phone to learn that it was bundled into our internet service and by removing the landline, our monthly bill would actually go up by $20 per month. The service rep was a complete asshole and it was pretty obvious that XFINITY has the market cornered in Davis County, UT and could give a rat's ass about my opinion of how logical this was as a business practice. Cutting the service they provide results in an increase in cost. If you can stomach service from CenturyLink, please do. read more

I am relatively new to Xfinity. We switched a few months ago (dropping Dish Network, which we loved btw) in an attempt to save some $ each month. At first I was considering the whole "cut the cord" thing but after looking at the options I realized we couldn't quite make that move yet. Then we found out about Xfinity's triple-play package that allowed us to add cable tv to our already existing Comcast/Xfinity home phone and internet. Plus, by going with the bundle our internet speed would be upgraded from 60 Mbs to 250 MBs. That was cool, especially given our little screen addicts' frequent complaints about the speed of our home WiFi. Another benefit was that we would get Xfinity Mobile for "free." So we dropped Verizon (which we loved btw) and switched to xfm. I received a $100 prepaid Visa in the mail for porting my old phone over. We had to buy an iPhone for my wife (because they don't support older Androids) but I'd been trying to convert her over to iOS for a while anyway (she's technologically challenged) so I was prepared for that expense. A couple of weeks later we were told by Xfinity that they had another promotion going and if we purchased a another new phone and activated a line we would get $200 prepaid Visa. That was just about what it would cost us for the phone and a 2 year contract so we bit the proverbial bullet and got a new phone for our kids to use. Well, time went by and no $200 Visa card. I eventually called to inquire and was told the promotion required 90 days before xfinity sends the Visa. I was given a date when the Visa would be mailed out. That date came and went so I called back only to be told our purchase did not meet the requirements for the $200. I threw a hissy-fit. I escalated my complaint. I threatened to cancel all my services. I emailed the company. I wrote a nasty response and gave the lowest scores possible on the customer service survey. Total aggravation. A few days later a rep called me and I had an opportunity to explain everything again. He said he did not have authority to make it right but said he would try his best. Weeks went by and lo and behold; I just received my $200 prepaid Visa card in the mail! The 3 stars is only because there was one person who actually did something to make it right. If not for my rating would have been 1 star. Okay xfinity, you had your chance and you blew it. Turns out cable tv sucks; no big reveal there and that's not all xfinity/Comcast's fault although they could stand to invest a billion or so in r&d to provide technology for this millennium. Can't control the fast forward function and the xfinity voice remote is a joke. Think: Big Bang Theory episode where Barry Kripkie demonstrates why Siri sucks and that'll give you an idea. As I considered the costs and impacts of switching back to Dish Network I decided to call xfinity to make sure that cancelling my cable tv service would IN NO WAY affect the speed or pricing for my internet and phone service. I repeat, the sole purpose of my call was to verify that if/when I cancelled cable tv I would continue to receive 275MBps download internet and phone at the starter pack price ( ~$90). This is what I was quoted so a couple of days later we arranged for the dish network fairies to come by and we are now back in the 21st century enjoying our tv with state-of-the-art dvr and navigation features. Same day I call xfinity to cancel my cable and long story short, the retention specialist aka "loyalty team" member, Ben (once he realized it was a done-deal/lost cause to try to retain me) jacks my bill and lowers my internet speed. After 20 years of having service with xfinity they just continue to get greedier and greedier they are not willing to work with existing customers and force you to have services you do not want. I had to disconnect service from Comcast due to moving to an apartment complex that mandated another internet provider for all residents. I was charged a $180 early termination fee, which was never discussed when I started service at the store. Customer service had no sympathy, even when I asked if they could waive it, as I've been with the service before and would have stayed with Comcast after moving again. I found out that they do phone service well I was very hesitant and told several times that it was a no contract if I ever wanted to cancel my service I could pay 35 and return the phone with no issues well last week after two months of service and my bill being 90 which is awful to me I tried to cancel and the Manager was very rude ! Satisfied with Comcast TV and internet (and unnecessary land line) for 15 years with a few hiccups however when I signed up my mom for a new account for her move into her home from assisted living I was astonished at the lack of understanding by the service personnel. I set up a service date 'window' but because I was moving furniture I missed their call and they canceled the service even though they called early - 1020am -and could have easily followed up with another call within their service window. My mother is handicapped and lives through TV so now we have to wait another 5 days for them to show up due to their not holding up to their service claim. Save yourself a lot of grief and don't bother calling the number listed for this store. Just unplug your comcast box and take it down to the store. Ask for Abbi...she's great! She'll get the box replaced and have you on your way in now time. Our box kept resetting, which was pretty annoying. I called the number on the 11th of September and someone with a thick Indian accent told me that since we were such good Comcast customers that they would send me a replacement, which would arrive in 3 to 5 days. It never arrived. We called back and they said it was in transit, that they would look up the shipping order and call us back. Two days later we had not received the call back. So I called back again and the operator told me there was no work order to have a replacement shipped to me so I could just take the box to my local store for replacement. Grrrr. Not good at all, me and my roommate went in to the store to resolve some issues we had with our internet and bill. The women we talked to acted as if we were dumb, and acted as if she was better then us. We pointed out the bill that we got overcharged for and she said she'd talk to her manager to get it fixed cause she seen the overcharges. However when she came back she only took 10$ of the 35$ overcharge and wouldn't take the rest off. And as for the xfinity service the cable is good haven't had a problem with it yet. However the Internet on the other hand is complete garbage. We have never gotten what we were promised and what we pay for. At first we were suppose to get 50 Mbps and did speed tests and were only getting 8-10 Mbps and then we upgraded to 105 Mbps and did multiple speed tests and the most we have ever gotten is 45mpbs so still not even getting half of what we're paying for. And it cuts in an out so doesent even work all the time. Very dissatisfied. read more

Disappointing. Beware. I walked out with a paper with totals for a 2 year guarantee (Even figured taxes and all other fees). Prices are higher on the bill (because they missed the DVR fee) and only part of it was locked in for 2 years. The store makes promises that they can not backup - and it seems like Xfinity the company will not stand behind either or even attempt to make right. absolutely disgraceful--- i am unable to connect with a live operator on the single phone number offered (which, by the way, took more than 30 minutes on the xfinity/comcast website for 'my account' access! when i finally called the 800#, no person available to talk with me - only automated system! i have to drive 15miles to get to store which was closed last few times i tried. in my view, any company doing business in u.s. should have live employee service agents to asssit - especially when question cannot be resolved on-line. i would send this via email; however, unable to find an email address...... so i have no option but to air my laundry with comcast via this medium. world's second largest telecommunications company and no way to recieve the help i need - js utah 1500hrs/18sep20 rated service - disgraceful!!! read more

I don't understand Xfinity my bill was $ 144 ( the paper statement that came in the mail )when I went to the kiosk it took $ 344. I switched to Xfinity/Comcast two months ago, January, 2017, from CenturyLink because Centurylink could only provide 5 GB in my area. My Xfinity rep, Lagina, has been awesome!! Lagina told that there would be no installation fee when I signed up so when they charged me an installation fee, I contacted Lagina and she took care of it, immediately! Wow! Whenever I had a billing or any kind of question, Lagina answered them in a timely manner. If she didn't know the answer, she found out and responded quickly! Amazing! When I had some initial internet access issues, Lagina made arrangements for a Tech guy to come out, no charge! Incredible! What more can I say!?! I have internet access that works great and for a reasonable price ($39.99/mo for 25 GB). Not a penny more. I would highly recommend Lagina to anyone! She's at the Layton store! read more

First off I would like to speaks a rep that speaks American English. We were sent a new modem that had a cable wire that was too shot plus we were supposed to return the old modem. First they gave me the wrong address & once I found it I walked in to find the store full of customers & only 2 agents working. One customer told me she had been there for over an hour & was only #8.
