Things have changed for the better with Xfinity--at least at this store in Westwood Village. Jason and Landon were very helpful for me to get out of the 25Mbs turtle-slow internet, and hook me up with the NOW setup for $30 a month--no hidden fees or taxes. The longer co-ax proved to be the winner, as a 3-foot cord is useless for my set up. This is a big store with lots of space and very well staffed as of late. I can't speak about what is why like before, because I've only been in the area a few months. Thanks, Landon, for the free energy drink, BTW. Wait times are short here, unlike the Northgate store, which is harder to get into than a Miley Cyrus concert. (p.s. I've been an Xfinity customer now for 20 years, not counting the early years when it was Group W (1974). Back then, it was $7.95 a month, and HBO was an extra $1.99 a month. have been with Xfinity for 10+ years. A couple days ago I discovered I'd been billed $20/mo extra for voice service on top of high speed Internet. I dont use any kind of voice service (I have T-Mobile for that). We have had no luck reaching a human via the 800 # and the web site would not allow this service to be deleted. So, yesterday I went to the Xfinity store on Barton street in Seattle. When I walked in there were no other customers, and at least 4 employees sitting and talking with each other. A minute or so later one employee got up and asked if we needed help. I said we need help with our bill, specifically the voice service billing. He said we have to call the 800 number for that. I said, we cannot get through to anyone which is why I drove 20 minutes to the store. He said he could not help with billing issues or services and that we should call the 800 #. We left and have since canceled Xfinity and have signed up for high speed internet with another company for 40% by less per month. Really bad service at the Barton store and company wide. Avoid doing business with Xfinity. read more

I had the student rate of 25 a month and the girl here tricked me into signing something to get a faster speed for the same amount to open a phone line. I went in for a new modem because the one they sent me didn't work. Half way through it felt scammy and I said never mind just keep my student rate I don't have time to deal with this because she was running into some hiccups with the set up. She said okay and I triple checked it would all stay the same. A month later they're now charging me 75 a month because they said I changed my plan in store and they refuse to give me back my student rate. Xfinity makes me want to smash my head into a wall to begin with but the employee here has a special place on my bad list now. Thanks for wasting hours of my time in person and on the phone to get absolutely no where. Avoid at all costs the employees are horribly trained and untruthful. read more

If you're lonely and have nothing to do then this is the perfect place for you! We were due to rebundle our services and it was immediately known that they are into pushing their cell phones. We were told that the line would be free but it turns out that for some reason the new plan didn't take. That was understandable but when we went to the store to troubleshoot and get a new plan, the manager said "we could either get justice or peace." Okay, that was strange since no one was complaining so we left. We were still being charged for a mobile line even though it was supposed to be free. My husband went back a few other times. The last two times really caused great confusion. After most of our lines were transferred to Xfinity, the worker opened up a new account for us and claimed my original account was closed. We were sent with a Flex box that didn't work and was no longer supposed to be given out. In the end, my original account was still being overcharged from the first visit to the store (plan gone wrong) and our new account was also incurring charges. We've spent about 20 hours trying to get the plan straightened out but right now I am being charged for two different accounts for the same address and equipment. This store was a nightmare. Talked me into getting a phone and I could never get the phone activated. I bet I spent 10 hours on the phone with various employees. Each one would tell me something completely different. Xfinity's mobile sector is disorganized and untrustworthy. They would not even let me return the phone at the store that I got it. They told me to FedEx it and warned that I should be sure to take photos (just in case). That's nice when employees have to warn me about their employer! Never again am I dealing with these jokers. read more

I hope things improve because I waited a long time that should not have happened but apparently the manager was really busy when he got there so I will give him a break, but there were people that came in and laughed and that's not good there should always be somebody at the front who greet the people and stays there. read more

Went in on 6/29 to get a new promo. RJ walked us through the agreement to keep our current Internet speed as long as we add a phone line. $66/mo. RJ asked for a good rating for his service. We go our bill for July that said $116. RJ got his review and we got screwed on the promo and ended up with a phone line that we didn't really need. Came back in 7/24 to see what happened. RJ wasn't working and his associate Daniel said he could get us our bill lowered but we would have to add a second phone line. These guys are a joke. Steer clear folks. You may get more than you bargained for at this Xfinity store location. read more

I went into this store to return a modem and Flex and to shut down my account of almost twenty five years. I had enough of the constant bill creep -- even after locking in a 24-month price that Xfinity decided to ignore after sixty days. The snot at the desk was laughing when I told him why I was cancelling. I used to have everything that Xfinity offered, having them foisted upon me over the years in order to retain a 'bundle price'. Two months ago, I cut back to just the internet and the Xfinity mobile, because the mobile requires you to have the Xfinity internet. I was locked into a $65 per month deal for 24 months which would give me 900 mbps internet and a cheap $17.58 per month cell phone bill. Two months later, Xfinity decided to charge me $105 plus fees, taxes, and equipment rental, completely ignoring the fact that I had a written agreement from this store. When I challenged them on it, they just shrugged and said there was nothing they could do about it. So I went to CenturyLink, got a 1gig fiber connection for $65 per month, for life. Google Fi now powers my cell phone for $30 per month. To have the snot-nosed kid laugh at me when I was closing my account told me that I made the best decision. read more

Comcast/Xfinity customer service on the phone suggested I switch to newer boxes since mine were so old, there are free upgrades. I have 4 TV's so brought them in 1 at a time, in case I had problems. I did. turned out that clerk had given me the wrong box, so it never would have activated. I came back for a 2nd one, different employee spent some time on the computer (supposedly activating the box remotely, since I was having troubles, not knowing his predecessor had given me the wrong equipment) handed me another box and I left, very little conversation, no paperwork. Now 3 of the 4 TVs no longer worked, and I received an email saying they had changed my plan from $103 a month to $190 a month! The clerk at apparently made an error, I was a customer for so long I had a discounted rate, and he wiped that out, and they claim it cannot be restored. 4 hours of Phone Calls, 3 trips in and still no luck. The tech who came out to get my TVs working was wonderful, but that still doesn't change the fact that xfinity- due to clerks mistakes at the same store- have now almost doubled my bill... read more

I recently moved to the Seattle area from Nashville. I came to this location after spending a lot of time dealing with customer service on the phone to get my modem which I own scanned into their system. The modem was still showing up as hardware in the Tennessee inventory per customer service. I came at the request of a representative I talked to on the phone after hours of trying to get the internet service connected over the past two days. I came to this Xfinity location and the customer service representative dropped my modem in the lobby floor. They were unable to get the service activated which I completely understood, but dropping my modem which I paid for! It was not owned by Xfinity and it was obviously damaged. I bought this at Walmart to save on the $10/month charge to rent their crappy modem. The telephone jack was jammed into the modem. Something was rattling inside when you turned the modem box over. There was a crack near the reset button of the modem. I contacted the 1-800 number to explain what happened and he added a note about the incident at this location. All the customer rep at this location said was, "I think it still works." Well, how do I know? I don't even have internet service? Are you kidding me?? The customer service on the phone was nice and told me to try to call the 1-800 number again tomorrow to see if the hardware was purged from the central district inventory so that it could be added to my Washington state account. After all this trouble and taking a bus to this location to have my own modem damaged by a careless service representative, I cancelled my internet service and I am switching to Astound. I have been having issues with Xfinity for a while. You can't call and speak with a real person without dealing with the automated robotic system. Their customer service representatives at the call centers acted like they didn't understand the issue and it took hours for simple answers to the internet connection issues. We put in weeks in advance to have the internet transferred! Xfinity needs to figure out how to transfer service from district to district and this location needs to hire staff that does not handle hardware owned by others as if it's worthless. When I went into this location everyone was sitting down and chilling like it was the after school television party. I am so glad I don't have to bother with Xfinity anymore. read more
