AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! O STARS! I brought my samsung s24 ultra in with a cracked screen. I wanted to get the data transferred to another phone. I was told they could replace the screen for relatively cheap and I would be able to sell or trade it in, although the screen would not be quite as good as original. I was told it would take about a day or 2. I was suddenly called out of town on business for a few days. A week later they said a mid tier screen would work fine, but not quite as well as original. I was ok with that. Another week later I picked it up and paid $180. I got home and got the data transferred from it. I turned it off. It never worked again. Apparently they installed the cheapest screen which still should have worked. I should have known when he had to soft reset it while I was standing there. They wouldn't refund my payment and tried to get more money to repair it correctly. Here are some excerpts from our text conversation. LML repair, I tried replacing the screen flex cable in order to get the screen working. However it looks like the touch capability won't be returning on this screen. If you would like to have it replaced again we can do that at a discounted rate Well, no. That would be at your cost. I already paid you to repair it and you didn't. Sir it was repaired and working upon pickup. No, actually, it wasn't. You had to soft reset it even to turn it on while I was standing there. Soft resetting a newly replaced screen is completely normal. I made it clear to you the difference in screen quality and you still opted for the lowest quality screen. I made it clear that it could cause issues and problem. Now if you would like, the best I can do is install another screen at no labor charge, but you would have to cover the part cost. Actually, you talked me into buying a screen that you said was a level better than the lowest quality and that it wouldn't be great to sell, but would work well enough for a trade in. I don't feel I should have to pay anything extra to have you take care of what was originally requested without any online reviews. How much are you talking about for partial cost? I said that if you are looking to sell the device, the lowest quality screen would not be sellable. The mid tier screen is $120. Low quality screen is $60. Original screen is $220.We only use the low quality screen for trade in or data transfer purposes. This situation is why we don't recommend using the low quality screen, you still opted for it. I really don't mean to be difficult and I feel this is a fair resolution. That may be what you put in there, but I did request the mid tier screen. I contacted this guy to replace my iPhone charging port. He advised me to meet him at his location in Fremont. Once at his studio, I handed him the phone; it was turned off and ready to be repaired. He asked me to turn it back on and confirm that it was an XR...ok...which I did. When I handed him the phone to show him the details, he tipped the phone away while he was gesturing to turn it off, and even though I stretched my neck to confirm it was off, his maneuver prevented me from seeing the phone shut down and go dark. This was unsettling and my first flag, but I silently reassured myself I was being paranoid. When the work was complete, I went to his studio to pick up my phone and he handed me my phone and not only was it on, but I could also read the text messages that I had received in the last four hours that he had it, which is not how my iPhone behaves after being rebooted. My phone, after a reboot, but prior to entering a password, will display a notification showing the sender's number but it will not display the message. This concerned me. I then attempted to log into my banking app to make payment, and I was locked out of my bank account. What...? There was a security warning and said that I needed to reset my password, and that Face ID had been disabled. I went into settings and my Face ID had indeed been disabled and when I tried to set it up again it said "Face ID was disabled and to try again later. What??? I spent the next 30 minutes standing in his studio trying to get into my BOA app to pay for him replacing my phone port (which visually from the bottom of my phone appears to be used). I told him that in replacing my port he broke my Face ID, and he mumbled and shrugged. I eventually manually got in to BOA app and issued payment through Zelle. My bank froze the Zelle payment, for what I was later told by the bank to be tied to security issues regarding the recipient's email address. I asked the tech what this was about and he mumbled and shrugged. I made payment through Square instead. I again pointed out that it was strange that my Face ID was no longer working and asked him if, in his experience, did replacing the charging port sometimes disable the Face ID -- he said he knew nothing about that. Long story short, my phone is all sorts of farkled since this dude touched it. I'm also sending this report to the AG's office because of how sketchy it was to see my text messages displayed, the security flags, me being locked out of my banking app, and his overall lack of ownership regarding his cruddy workmanship and his continued dissing of my concerns. read more

ZERO STARS!!! Horrific experience. Brought my phone in for a back glass repair. it worked perfectly when I dropped it off. When I picked it up, it could not connect to my carrier. After chatting with them, they could not come up with a solution so I was forced to take it to the apple store, where their tech team discovered a bunch of the broken back glass still inside the phone, under the glass that LML had installed. This glass severed the carrier antenna inside, and damaged other interior components beyond repair. I was forced to buy a whole new phone for almost $800. When i finally got a hold of LML 8 days later, they took no responsibility, and offered no help other than to try to get the broken phone back and they could fix it. I am left with nothing but a "we will give you half off next time you need a repair" Please please stay away. read more

I took my phone back to them to fix (again) and every time I asked for an update they were vague about it. I checked my phone location and it was in a different repair shop, which they didn't tell me, long short story I decided to decline the repair an took my phone to Apple to inspect where I found out the phone was damaged internally beyond repair, and components had been replaced with incorrect parts from a different model iPhone. My phone screen stopped working after a whitewater rafting trip. I could tell my phone was still working but the screen was completely black. Verizon was unhelpful but recommended LML Repair. They were able put on a temporary screen so that I could backup all of my data/pictures at no charge. They were awesome and so helpful. I was really impressed with the experience. I didn't know what to expect since I've never gone to an independent repair shop for my iPhone (vs. the Apple store), and I found this place just by searching "iPhone repair West Seattle" or something like that. The location is hard to find. It looks like an apartment building but I realized it's actually the ActivSpace building which specializes in renting out space to small businesses (artists, technicians, massage therapists, etc.). You need to use the call box to take the elevator up and find the correct business unit. The service was excellent. Radwan was friendly, customer-oriented, and a good communicator. There's a form you fill out where you can indicate the best way to be contacted for updates on your repair. He gave me the update the next day on my issue (motherboard failure on my iPhone) which was really helpful because I assumed it might have been a battery issue, and he saved me going down the wrong path and spending money on something that wouldn't have fixed my issue. For whenever I have another electronics issue where I need a repair, I'll definitely be going to LML. Pricing was great too (certainly relative to Apple store which would be $$$ and I fear with less qualified repair people who just try to upsell you on the latest phone...).
