Having an appointment doesn't really seem to mean much other than when you arrive you get to go to the front of the "line", but still behind others who also made appointments. We were finally taken 25 minutes after our appointment time, which is aggravating. Aside from the the annoyance of being taken late, we had an outstanding experience with Jason. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. He was even able to get me a credit for an erroneous charge for a service visit a few months prior. He broke up the popular station package and slowed down our internet speed from 800 to 300 without telling us - terrible! I cancelled my service with bundled Netflix, Apple TV and Peacock a few days ago. Got new service from AT&T and have tried to establish new Netflix account under AT&T but Comcast/Xfinity has not released the Netflix account even though I cancelled days ago. Netflix is telling me Xfinity still shows an active account. Called to take care of their lack of urgency so I can resume Netflix and just get a runaround. How are these a-holes able to do this?! Wish I could post a -0 review. I've had Comcast service for over 25 years. Recently moved and paid $50 to help with installing of which they didn't correctly hook up one tv. After several weeks of frustrating phone calls and service and finally being in a town with more options to select from I switched to AT&T and direct tv. Went into the Xfinity store in Vernon Hills to cancel and return my equipment. Was told I had to wait. Then someone else came in that they said had an appt and I had to wait longer, no problem. Finally the person who checked me in was done. Since I was next I walked over by him. He asked what I was doing. I replied "waiting to get helped". After him standing around I asked if he could help me. He replied "no"! Finally got called up and after all of these years was never even asked why I was cancelling. We went this morning to finally cut the cord. Cable was costing us an arm and a leg. Spoke to a young lady there who asked why we were there. We told her we wanted to drop cable and the landline, but keep wifi and home security. She looked at her computer and informed us there were no current promotions, however, if we wanted to wait three days, there may be one. We said, "no." And she said, "okay." And that was it. No more cable. We were amazed since we'd been customers for over 20 years that they'd try to keep our business, but nope. No care in the world. She did talk to us about the storm last night and how she was tired. Makes up for it right? Then we look at the security contract. In our package on the form, it states that we have "video monitoring. However, we don't have cameras. We asked why it was on the invoice and why they never set it up. She said she hates the form and that Xfinity just puts that in with everything. Excuse me? They add stuff to the invoice even though they don't give it to you? So messed up. Glad we switched. We have been having some issues with our cable, so we stopped in recently to swap out our splitter and to get some information about possibly even getting rid of cable TV altogether. Our plan is to keep our Internet in tact. Upon walking in, Louis was at the front counter ready to help us with the hardware we needed, and if it wasn't for his kind and encouraging demeanor, we probably wouldn't have waited around to talk with someone about the cost of changing our plan...and options for us going forward. He put us in the queue, and we waited only three minutes before we were chatting with Louis with all our options. I spent 3 hours on the phone today with India "customer service " trying to get a PIN number which I apparently need to switch carriers. Getting nowhere after multiple transfers to different people, I kept requesting they transfer me to a US-based supervisor and instead was connected to Egypt! I am an elderly lady. I feel like Xfinity takes advantage of me. They raise my prices constantly. They offer me gifts I have to pay for. They try to sell me things I don't need when I am asking for help with their service. Two days ago they had me on the phone for hours passing me from one representative to another. I contacted Xfinity for help with my services but I ultimately came out with more things to pay for over time and still didn't get the help I asked for. They have a monopoly here and a contract with my building so there's no other Internet providers I can work with. Now I just feel awful with worry over my new bill. I'm disabled, very poor and Im tired of greedy people gaining money off the backs of the poor. It's not just Xfinity but it's also the people who work for them that seem to scam for commission for extra payment. There was not one representative who I could relate to. The absolute worst! For months I am unable to get the promised speed of 1,200 mbps! I was even told to purchase an external modem which I did. The speed did not resolve - the modem provider says it's xfinity and xfinity the modem provider. I've ordered new modem and asked them if I can pick it up in the local store (didn't want to wait for shipment to arrive). Upon arrival to the store I was told by Comcast representative that there 10 people in front of me to be served. Tried to argue that I don't need to be "served", I just need to pick up the modem I already ordered. The rep became pretty offensive and she told me that she knows better. Waited for 15 minutes and watched few other guys doing exactly that - picking up new equipment and leaving after spending 3 minutes in the store. So, at the end, just asked another representative to help me and everything was completed in less than 2 minutes. Cherry on top - I've received another new modem 5 days after because they didn't update my case and didn't enter my request for in-person pickup. Your company is absolutely awful! On 1/17 I made a $200 payment towards my account and on 1/18 I called and explained my situation and asked that my 1/19 payment plan be changed. The agent I talked to said she understood and would change my payment plan for the rest of what I owed would be changed to 2/19 (February 19th). Today I get an email from you that you have fraudulently taken $445 out of my account! I called your customer service and explained the situation and I have also alerted the fraud department of my bank. the payment hasn't posted yet and your company has to drop the charges so I can get my money back. This is the seventh time your company has made a huge mistake in regards to my account. I'm a single mother who doesn't get child support, I put myself through school, and I work two jobs. If I don't get this money back your company will be the reason why my daughter and I are homeless. You're company steals from people. It's absolutely asinine that your employee made this mistake and my daughter will have to pay the consequences by being homeless. I have the authorization number, reference number, and employee name and ID to the supervisor I spoke to. How dare you put me in this crisis. I have not yet talked to anyone on the phone except the ridiculous computer voice that's says I'll be switched to an agent but never does. No one has given me an answer for a smoke alarm question I'm asking. Actually I can't say they haven't given me an answer I have received five different answers. The key to a good salesforce is knowing your product people! And you do not. We spend nearly $500 per month on Xfinity services and cannot get one quote to add one feature to our home. I live in palatine. On Sunday we were having some internet issues. We called and I rebooted but did not help.so I called and was told that someone will come on Monday to check the connection. The person came to see the issue.after checking he changed the Mortom and started the wi fi . He was so polite and so good that couldn't stop to ask his name. Comcast, without me asking, sent a new modem to update my older equipment. I did the self install and had to return the old equipment, so I thought it would be easy to drop off at the local store. (You can either drop off at Comcast or go to a UPS store.) Typical Comcast, they made me check in and wait. After about 10 minutes, I went back and said, "look, I've got to pick up my son from school, can't I just drop off the old box?" Although they have a reception person, she could not somehow take the equipment. Obviously, they want me to talk to a salesperson to offer me cell phone, home security, etc. Very frustrating. I left, went out of the way to the UPS store. I walked into UPS, the guy scanned the modem, said thanks and I was on my way in under a minute. Thanks to Comcast, I followed up and cancelled my cable TV service (stuck with them being the monopoly on internet) and cut the cord. So free to be away from them!!! read more

Long wait. I'm disabled and had a rough time navigating the store. Issue never resolved. Asst mgr. kept calling me "Boss" on my way out.

So let me begin by stating that as you can see, I am here 12 days later, with the SAME exact issue, and still NO CONCRETE resolution. So after leaving the store 12 days ago, and being under the assumption we placed the order on the phone that day (as we were told - we also paid that day) we waited 2 business days and did not receive anything. Called on 3rd business day to find out that the order (that they told us was placed in the store) was never placed. So, I then placed the order. But for the 40 mm size Apple Watch, as they still have no idea why they cannot sell me the 44 mm size. Even though ... they have plenty of stock of the 44 mm size at the store. Order is placed on Jan 16th and I receive the watch on Jan 21. I then proceed to go to the store, as per their directions, and ATTEMPT to exchange the 40 mm for the 44 mm at the store. Again, at the store there is plenty of stock of the 44 mm that I want in the store, but because they literally are unable to sell me watch because they cannot bypass this step that I am about to mention. And on this last step of the ordering process, the same spot in which we faced the problem that brought us here in the first place, the issue appears again. And once again, NO ONE knows how to get past this step. So we call again, and they tell us they will place the order themselves on the phone. BUT, now there is no stock of the 44 mm online and therefore, they cannot place the order, as they wanted. And remember, the 44 mm is in stock at the store I am at, but they just cannot figure out how to get past the system error message. So end result as of today, Jan 22, is that they cannot do anything for me right now. And that the issue has been escalated as far as it can be escalated, as per their words. Only solution that they offered is to monitor the stock online and once that it is in stock, we will ATTEMPT to place the order. I really hope someone reads this. And I hope that something is done. Honestly if I could select 0 stars for this location I would. I have been trying to switch over to xfinity mobile for the past 3 weeks and have visited the store now 4 times and have not been able to get the service. There seems to be an "error code" that pops up every time they try and get into the mobile website and while I understand that may not be the sales reps fault, they could do more than stare at me like a deer in headlights when the message comes up. So while there is some mystery error "haunting" my account as one rep put it (good to know they are trained to handle these types of situations) these people do nothing to put you at ease and the same manager has been at the store every. single. time that I have visited and can't even be bothered to help his reps or come over and help assure me that the problem is being addressed. I will disclaim that a few of the reps I worked with did what they could with what they were equipped with, which I'll be honest is not much but again, where is the manager?! Or is he literally just as clueless? If you have the time it would probably be worth while to drive to a different location for any of your xfinity needs, the lack of customer service here is worth the drive elsewhere. read more
