Bing Bing Noodles... basically spaghetti with some chili sauce...
    Dhyan H.

Ordered Bing Bing noodles and Chinese hamburger pick up from Chowbus. Said br eady in 20 min. Got there 25 min later to pick up food. Counter person said it not ready. 20 min. Ok. Waited another 20 min. Again not ready. It was almost 1:20 hh:mm total before getting food. Opened food at home and found basically spaghetti with chili sauce... tastes terrible... called restaurant and person said sorry no flat noodles... May be I got unlucky but I will not be going back again... PS: Chinese hamburger was ok.

After a long day of hiking, I was craving some Sichuan, spicy cold noodles to satisfy my appetite! On my way home, I found that the closest place to me for this dish was at Xi-An Flavor. I ordered my food and picked it up without a hitch. I was excited to eat my food, but by the end of the meal, I only realized that the food was just okay for me. I'm not too sure if it was because of the overwhelming amount of spice it had or the lack of any other flavors (like peanut or sesame), but unfortunately, Xi-An Flavor's spicy cold noodles were not hitting the spot. In the future, I would try something else on their menu. Happy eating, fam!

It's so hard to find good Xian Food in New Jersey, but fortunately I was able to find this restaurant. I believe this restaurant was originally in the food court in Edison that currently doesn't exist now. Anyways I want with the classic Liang Pi and Biang Biang Noodles. Flavor was pretty good and the noodles are fresh. Is it the best one, not really. It does pass and does it's job.

With the proliferation of Szechuan hot pots and dry pots in the area, it's refreshing to see a Shaanxi food joint that focuses on the noodle and rice dishes of Xi'an. The Szechuan mala numbing spice and the familiar capsaicin spice is also present, but here, the food is saltier, with a larger soy sauce and umami presence. Highly recommend any dishes with noodles, whether that's the liangpi or the bing-biang noodles (machine made here). The mapo-tofu was also surprisingly delicious and unctuous. It's a great rendition of a classic dish. Definitely skip the Chinese hamburgers since they're a little dry and boring compared to the noodle dishes, and compared to the version at Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC. Note, this is more of a casual takeout spot, so they're not used to having people sit in, but the service is friendly, prompt, and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Awesome food. Good price. Recommend cold noodle, the unique in NJ. Chinese hamburger and braised pork are also recommended.

Cheating and always push to order the meal. Ask for cash pay to avoid taxes and never give receipt.

Is this placed closed as of at least February 2026? There's a sign mentioned something (new?) opening in March. Thanks!

Every dish we tried was delicious and you can really tell everything was high quality. There is a parking lot across the street so parking isn't too bad to find. Our party was situated downstairs at a nice round table. This really helped us share the seafood tower and pass clams around. Our group ordered the small seafood tower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It had a little bit of everything. The presentation was flawless. I am still in awe of the lobster. Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. (No, that's not an embellishment. That actually played.) All in all, we had a great time, great food, in a beautiful space. Natalie was a very attentive service. But please, maybe some different music?

I am not good with written words, but here goes;…read more This is a shout-out to Manager Monica and the employees of Steakhouse 85. I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances

My family and I have been to Steak 85 approximately 12 times over the past three years, and for a…read morelong time, we absolutely loved this restaurant. It was a place we genuinely enjoyed coming back to, which is why it is disappointing to say that the quality has declined significantly over our last several visits. The steak quality does not seem to be what it used to be. The risotto portion has noticeably decreased, and unfortunately, the flavor has gone downhill as well. It used to have a creamy consistency and actual sauce, but now it is more like slightly wet rice with very little flavor. This most recent visit was especially disappointing because even the crab cakes smelled and tasted sour, which is something I have never experienced there before. What makes this review different from simply having one bad meal is that this has now happened during our last three visits. At this point, I don't believe it was a fluke or an isolated bad night. There has been a noticeable decline in both the quality and portions of the food. I really hate leaving a review like this because we genuinely used to love Steak 85 and have recommended it in the past. We have been loyal customers and have given the restaurant plenty of opportunities because of how much we enjoyed it previously. Hopefully, the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and brings the food quality back to what it used to be. Right now, though, based on our last three visits, we are honestly very disappointed especially because of the price point we expect quality.
