We had so much fun here! We came last Sunday for the first time. We bought one lane for 6 people for one hour ($60), six pairs of shoes ($5 each) and two people needed socks ($5 each). XL Lanes is located at the south end of fashion fair mall. You don't have to actually enter the mall to get to it. We had no trouble finding parking. You can take the stairs to go down to XL or wait for the little elevator. Inside, the cashier is to your right with good large signage as to prices etc. to the left are pool tables and seating area and beyond that, arcade games and the bowling lanes. We attempted to place an order at the bar but since we were bowling, we needed to order through a server. I didn't know what to expect since it's located inside the mall. Upon walking in I was surprised with how big the place is. They have bowling, lots of arcade games and pool. On Mondays and Tuesdays I believe they have a 5 dollar special. Each game is 5 dollars and shoe rentals are 5 dollars. A great price in my opinion and it allows you to pick more games if you want. They have bowling ramps and bumbers for the kids. My boys are little and they had a blast. They have food too. Our waitress was extremely kind and very helpful. I'm very shocked lol. I came to bowl and there's no oil on the lanes... I was told by a staff member that "this isn't a real bowling alley." Staff are great and the vibes here are awesome, but if you're here to try and have a good bowling session, this is not the place. Lanes are DRY asf... I can literally walk the whole lane and not worry about slipping. They don't oil their lanes and that's a shame. Pool, arcade, food & drinks are wonderful. My only complaint is the bowling section! I recently found out that this bowling alley has 3 karaoke rooms I was very interested after finding out but I couldn't find much about it on yelp or google. I decided to go check it out myself and being that today is my birthday... It was perfect and easy to book. I just went online and went under karaoke room reservations by scrolling almost to the bottom of the page and used my credit card. The prices are good and they have good equipment and it wasn't too hard to navigate through once we figured out how to add songs to the list. Place is cool. Food is good. Service is decent. Pros: I really love the design of the place. It's so cool and fun. They have a good selection of games to play. The food is good. Well the pizza since that's the some of the only things I've ordered along with onion rings and nachos. Birria pizza is my favorite. Friends were able to get drinks and were satisfied. Bowling is great. It's an overall vibe just being there. Cons: I've been going here for karaoke with friends and it's been fun but mainly because we make the most of it. When we reserved a room for the first time, staff didn't really show us what to do or which room to go to. We had to figure it out ourselves, meaning I had to do some tweaking with the karaoke room settings and tablet as if I worked there. After having to ask for food service, staff was being judgemental of our singing by trying not to laugh. Pretty much made it a buzzkill. I also want to note that one of the rooms did not have a good sound system from it's speakers so every song sounded distorted. Can't forget to mention that the party lights glitch alot to where it flickers wildly and hurts our eyes. The games were for the most part accessible but some such as one of the Mario Kart machines were super wobbly and it felt like it was going to fall along with me. 5 stars for service - Jojo, Ryan, and Alexis were awesome, attentive, and provided great customer service, 3 stars for karaoke rooms that fit 10-15 people with poor to no air conditioning except for 1 out of the 3 rooms available. It was a very hot and sweaty night. Came for group karaoke on a Friday night 8-10pm. Drinks good for the price and had a great time. Bartenders was super quick. Easy to book. Wide song selection. Just wish the karaoke rooms were consistently cool for such a large group. We were here for a group bowling event prior to karaoke and the bowling was fun as well. read more

First time at the bowling alley. Not sure what to expect but was nicely surprised. The cashier was really nice and helpful. They charge by hour or by game and she gave a us both totals to help us decide which option would be better. There are 12 bowling lanes. Max 6 bowlers to a lane. We had 3 kids and were able to program at the cashier which bowlers had the bumpers. So when it the kids turn, the bumpers would automatically go up. The lanes were clean. There was plenty of seating. In addition to bowling, there were a few karaoke booths, pool tables, air hockey tables and arcade games. The place was clean. There were lots of tables to eat and a large bar. We didn't eat anything but the beer was cold. There were a variety of people, not just young adults. Would visit again. read more

The bar tender told me "oh you're big you need a lot of alcohol you're a big girl!" I'm 6'2 ! I'm a tall person, but why would you tell somebody that they're a big person and then comment on how they need more liquor! Still didn't get drunk " Then they gave our food to some other lane which we clearly said what lane we were at. they only refunded a portion of the food and my kids were crying because they have been waiting an hour for some food that never got delivered. What a PERFECT place to hang out with friends and family!! They have everything for entertaining. Karaoke rooms, bowling lanes, arcade machines, sticker photo booth, arcade machines and restaurant and bars!!! Their pizzas tasted really great, so freshly made out of oven and the buffalo wings were the top of my favorites!! We did bowling, the lanes and balls were clean, and even the sofa had under spaces for the shoes! My kids enjoyed all the arcade machines with the hourly play card. The arcade hourly card price was very reasonable compare to other places. Kids could try everything that they ever wanted!!! Definitely we'll come back for more fun!! We had fun bowling but the lanes were sticky and you couldn't slide when releasing the ball. I give 4 stars for bowling. The food got one star, we had the nachos tray with chicken. Even a few more people got asked to leave and not return because of the servers feeling uncomfortable being sought out for service!! Didn't know this place existed. Stumbled across it at Fashion Fair mall. X lanes is kind of a misnomer because we expected to find a bowling alley and karaoke based on the sign in the front but they actually have it all for adults and kids. Definitely a family friendly place with all the bells and whistles. They advertise bowling as their main feature hence the name XLanes but they also have a full bar and dedicated billiard area, arcade, and private rooms to rent for karaoke! Very colorful and neat set up. Great family value package and a Happy Hour at the bar M-F 3-7pm. Be sure to ask about specials, they have special pricing for everything, restrictions apply. See their signs on No outside food or beverages. It's a restaurant/fun zone for both adults and children so they have it all. Be aware they have two entrances, one from the back between Macy's and JC. Penny as they are open past mall hours. read more

This place has potential but it just doesn't seem like it can hit that potential. Went to go bowl here and thought we were going to have a great time but we didn't. The lanes are not maintained/oiled so you can't spin/curve bowling balls. Even MCD floors are more oily and better!!! Bowling balls are cheap and don't rotate as the average bowling balls. Please save your time and money and just go to Bowlero. Better bowling atmosphere, vibes, and fun. X-Lanes seems to focus too much on other things besides bowling. I tried to book a reservation for karaoke on the day of, but it was already all booked. however, we went in anyways and asked if they happened to have any availability. They were very kind and were able to accommodate us for an hour which we were super appreciative of. the stools in the rooms are cushioned but have no back support. We were told we can grab one of the dining chairs outside of the room if needed, which was great. There is a lot of different music genres and selections to choose from. There is a server that will come into your room to take any food or drink orders. Their cocktails are delicious. A few negatives: the music is very loud. Not quite a negative because some people might like that, but we couldn't really hear eachother singing lol. AND, the room was VERY hot. We were told they were unable to turn the AC on which was pretty horrible because it was hard to fully enjoy our time in the room. We were given the option to prop the door open if needed, which kind of helped, but it would've been nice to at least have a fan. A few things that would really make this experience exceptional is comfortable seating(preferably couches), air conditioning, and more karaoke rooms. All in all, it was so much fun. I have been to xlanes 3 times now and I can honestly say that it is a really cool place. The staff are friendly and helpful, the vibe is great, and the food is some of the best I've had. I've watched an interview where the owner was talking about how almost everything on the menu is house made and you can tell! Now as you can see I didn't give this a full 5 stars. I do have a few things that weren't so great and that I feel can be improved. One time I went in and the men's restroom was super dirty and no toilet paper was in either stall, I'm not sure how many times the restrooms are checked but it might need to be increased. Now for my last part it has to do with pricing specifically for the bowling. When you go early in the day pricing isn't too bad, it can be as low as $5 per game. However I don't particularly care that it goes up as the day goes on. I get it companies need to make money but literally when I paid $9 for a game (which was actually $18 because me and my wife were bowling) and we played the hyper bowling just to have the game end in like 10 minutes made us feel a little ripped off. I'm not necessarily 100% upset about pricing but I would like to see hyper bowling changed to be 2 turns per player so that way the games last longer to make it feel more worth the money. My wife and I switched to regular bowling after that game and we enjoyed it more. All in all this is a very fun place to go bowling, get some food, play other games that they have and hang out. Very cool concept and friendly staff. Only knocked a star off because the bowling isn't quite right. Bowlers need to know this isn't a true bowling lanes. The lanes aren't oiled, so there's no way to spin the ball with any control. And all the pins are held by rope at the top of them, so they don't fly around like regular pins. I'm guessing this design is so they just pull the ropes to reset them instead of needing double the pins and organizing machines to set them every frame. Took me about one game to give up and just throw balls straight. If you're not a remotely serious bowler, this place is probably perfect since it has everything for a fun night out. My wife and kids loved it and once I wasn't trying to bowl great, it was fun. I hope it succeeds as it's a great use of the Fashion Fair basement. read more

Service is so slow, inattentive and I think overall just inexperienced. I hosted 18 individuals here for my husbands birthday party. Reserved 3 lanes for two hours each. Hope our server was so slow I ended up suggesting to my guest to go to the bar for their own drinks since service was not moving along and half of the party was either missing drinks or still waiting to place their food order. I wish the management team would've been more involved. We were there to consume and did but many of my guest and myself did not leave happy. The place itself has potential and had been fun the prior time I was there with a party of 4, not sure if the bigger group was too much for the venue to host or maybe the staff just isn't properly trained. If hosting an event here I would suggest having dinner somewhere else and maybe just getting drinks at their bar before doing the bowling. Food here is not bad, I think we all agreed the food was good but the service ruined the experience. Food was actually out before drinks for some of our guest which was really irritating. I had to go to the bar and ask for water cups and two of my guest ended up just canceling their beers afterwards and stuck to just water. Service me can either enhance an experience or completely ruin it and unfortunately for me this place can't meet minor expectations for big parties. Xlanes is a pretty fun place and has multiple attractions of things to do here. The main thing is going to be the bowling the lanes are nice but are a little overpriced for a date. The arcade was had some good games but have a pretty limited selection so it felt like we ran through the games we wanted to play and still had $20 left over out of the $60 we put on the arcade card. The pool tables are nice and not to badly priced compared to other billiard places. I liked that this place had a bar and food options that was a nice way to start the night of fun here. Literally looks like a hole in the wall while strolling through the mall but this place is poppin on the inside. Its hidden on the south side of the mall. Walk thru the doors, get pre-screened by a security guard and take the escalators down... its a really huge space. They have 12 bowling lanes, 4 pool tables, arcades, 4 darts, a full bar with a good selection on draft, TVs all around. Looks like a fun place to have a business or family event here. The lanes here are dangerous for actual bowlers. The flooring doesn't allow you to slide. I brought my own shoes and used powder. Still no slide. The lanes are dryer than a 40 year old virgin. After my 4th frame, I went to go ask for a refund since we paid for 2 games. Was told they didn't do refunds. Got switched to a different lane. Same results. This place is cool, but too small and terrible for bowling. We also did not have anyone waiting on us. I'll stick to bowlero moving forward. read more

I had heard about this place just opening and we decided to do a group date night; which turned out to be a great idea. We did reserve two lanes in advance since we had over 6 people and the manger was very helpful and friendly during that process. The atmosphere is great, so fun! They have bowling (of course), darts, pool, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, and cornhole! The bar is huge with ample seating but as of right now they serve only beer, no hard liquor...yet. Table and high top seating is decent and readily available. My only "warning" is pricing; we did go on a Saturday but bowling, food and beer added up quickly. Overall a great time! read more

So we came back and the bowling was nice. But I found out that they charge you a 20% service charge for groups of 4 or more for food or drinks. The waiter kept apologizing about that and he mentioned that people didn't know about it and it is written in small print at the bottom of the menu. And that service charge does not go to the waiter it goes to the company. So I guess I will not be ordering food here because of that money is not going to the people working then why charge. read more
