    Mint chocolate and custard

Found this local gelato shop in the area. It was super cute and they have a wide variety of flavours! I We got the mint chocolate and custard flavours. Would highly recommend the custard one. Mint chocolate is good as well!

A-OK gelato. I got to try the pistachio and mango gelato and it was flavourful but I felt I had much better. Service was kind and quick!

HAIRS in ice cream. This is hair #1. Bottom right. There were MANY more. These were the most visible to capture on camera.

HAIRS, yes, PLURAL, in my gelato. Different lengths, superfine, fine, medium and thick strands, etc. Yup, THAT many for me to observe. I'm terrified to think of how many I actually ingested without noticing. This is disgusting!! How is it possible to have not one hair but MANY and in a consumable product for sale no less?! I have attached two pics of the most visible hairs I could capture on camera here for your viewing. There were many more and I don't care for even more reminders of what might be in my stomach right now. :'( If you like hairy ice cream, I got the pistachio and mascarpone today, Monday, Aug 31st. Too bad it wasn't April 1st. ETA: I had to reupload the pics. For some reason, one of them wasn't showing up before.

Lime and mint on top and bailey's gelato underneath ($4.75)

Location: Drove by Mt. Pleasant and Eglinton on a random Tuesday afternoon and noticed a gelato shop in the corner. Since it was 15 minutes to 4pm, I decided to take the plunge and get a quick bite before hitting the 4-6pm prohibited street parking mark. As soon as I walked in, there was a large selection (a whole 2 window caseful!) of gelato and sorbets to choose from. Just like any gelato/icecream shop you go to, samples are necessary! The staff was happy to serve me and was willing to let me try 4-5 different kinds even though there was also a man standing not too far from him right behind the cashier; I am guessing he's the owner. However, what I didn't like about this guy was that when I asked him which flavour most customers would order or the shop's signature flavour, he just said all of them or more specifically, he just named all the flavours out loud. After I had paid, the guy who gave me a sample told me to try the pistachio flavour and that it is really good. Why didn't you mention it to me earlier?!?! Food: I settled for a gelato cup ($4.75) which allowed you to have 2 scoops of 2 different flavours. I chose Bailey's and Lime and mint. The Bailey's was really good and yes, the alcohol tasted strong but it wasn't creamy enough. It was kind of liquidy and watery. The lime and mint was alright; I was never really into sorbets anyway but wanted to try the contrast. Overall, the gelato tasted just like any other places that I have been or perhaps even lower in standards. Or perhaps I chose the wrong flavours?! I have had better gelatos in my lifetime and so, I don't think I'll return. The shop also sells hot chocolate and other espresso drinks, but they were too special in my opinion. They also have a case of creme brulee (which looked absolutely UNappetizing as the custards were peeling off the ramekins) and some cannolis (which also looked very UNappetizing! Not sure how long they were in the fridge for). It was also sad to see NO one in the shop when I was there.

Great tasting gelato but the service can be better. Their pistachio and hazelnut gelato is superb. I highly recommend for gelato.

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
