He treats people like they've got brains, explaining things with lay language but without talking down to the patient. He is always friendly and upbeat, with a terrific bedside manner. He's got all the best qualities of an old-fashioned country doctor --accessible, personable, genuinely interested in his patients' needs and well being -- but his medical and scientific knowledge is top notch. The nurse that assisted the doctor, Brionna Beals, was very helpful, funny, and down to earth. The staff gave a patient-centered care that is very appreciative. They gave suggestions and were willing to hear my friend out while discussing his medical history and what has helped in the past. The doctors name is Wendy Powell. Billed well near $600 for a basic visit, after insurance I had to pay $225 of it, and for what? A…read moreless than 2 minute visit after I wanted 75 minutes to be seen. No doctor, only a physician's assistant. I spent $135 on Rx. After I finished the medication with NO change, I called back to see if I could see the PA again without paying (since I already paid so much and was misdiagnosed). Spoke with Brandy and she told me I would have to come back in to see the same PA or would be billed again if I saw someone else. No problem, that PA would be there Tuesday, so I waited to go back. I went this morning and AFTER I had the visit they said I would have to pay again. The PA saw me for less than 2 minutes again and seemed annoyed that I was back to follow up. NEVER AGAIN. Go anywhere else. Better yet, go see your primary care doctor.
