I recently visited Xperience and while I found the vibe to be very nice, I must admit I was disappointed with the food. The chicken lacked any seasoning and tasted like plain boiled chicken. The shrimp tacos were underwhelming, with nothing but shrimp and coleslaw. Even the fries lacked seasoning. However, I have to give credit to the drinks they served. They were the highlight of my visit, poured straight from the bottle. Servers seemed cool tho interacted little with my party of 2. I highly recommend getting someone who can season the food. My party went on a rainy Wednesday night on 12/27 with a 6pm reservation. The vibe was great and the cocktails were delicious. Then we ordered. It took forever for the food to arrive and when it did I had great expectations. The $63 stuffed lobster was over cooked, tough, salty, and I had to fight like Sophia to get it out of the shell. It was black underneath (not pink or red). I couldn't eat it and neither could my friend whom ordered the same thing. The bathroom needed attention and should be refreshed regularly. There was no water pressure or hot water which is very concerning! The music was great but I don't think I'll be back. I visited this restaurant for my friend's birthday celebration. They had a soft launch in april, so they're fairly new. Upon arriving, i noticed that it was inside a plaza, so there were other businesses present. There is plenty of parking and they do valet parking.It's located in avenel, which is in Woodbridge township. I made reservations, but the staff was accommodating when i needed to push it back to 6pm.The hostess and waitress were really sweet. The overall look inside was very chic. The menu was actually an iPad, which I thought was cool. They do have an outdoor section and offer hookah out there. It seemed like a hot commodity since my friend and I wanted to sit outside after our meals, but a table never opened up. The cocktails were tasty. We stayed so that we could watch the performers. They were two women in elaborate costumes doing the samba. They were really sweet and took a pic with my friend. I did have to take a star away because the menu was quite limited, and the prices for appetizers are quite steep. The food and presentation were good, but I wish I had more options. Keep in mind that this place is really new and a lot of the workers just got hired so please give them grace. I personally enjoyed my experience and will be back in the future. read more

In all fairness, the restaurant has been open for approximately 1-2 months so please keep that in mind when reading my review. However major concerns exist with the staff. The restaurant is located in a strip mall located next to some type of Sub Shop. The location isn't a vibe when it comes to the aesthetics of the restaurant and its pricing. The service does not match the pricing. Our food was delayed, we never received our sparkling water (but they charged us for it), and I thought they forgot about my wine because it took way too long to reach our table. To top it off, paying with a debit or credit card is risky business. The menu contains TINY PRINT. Be prepared to take a picture with your phone so that you can expand the text. The items on the menu are limited, and the best thing I had, unfortunately, were the $10 truffle fries. I had Chilean Sea Bass although it wasn't on the menu. The price was not known until we got the check. The Sea Bass cost $50 for a small piece sitting in excessive sauce. The scallops were bland and cost $24. It's weird how many of the dishes are listed as starter meals with only one main dish. How can I forget? The lamb chops were alright tasting, but served luke warm. Poor temperature for a $32 starter meal. AND the Xperience Shrimp were good (priced at $24). The DJ keeps the music spinning but nothing to write home about. I guess the DJ caters to a specific population. Overall, the place is attractive but will not last. The service is poor (the manager named Will lost our credit card and asked us to describe it after bringing us two cards that weren't ours), the food and drinks are overpriced, the taste of the food is average, and the location is not desirable. If this restaurant was in Fort Lee, Edgewater, or Hoboken the success of the establishment would be more likely if the staff were better trained And competent. read more

The spot has just opened! So of course there are a few kinks to work out! What I will make mention is; The food was mediocre @ best. The scallops were good, very small but cost me almost $40 (this was just an appetizer, just to give you an idea price wise). Lambchops were again just ok, but the sauce paired with them were very good. All of the food lacked seasoning. The service was very good. They were all extremely attentive. Highlight of my day was Avianna! She was so sweet and accommodating to every request at my table. The drinks were really good I would definitely suggest getting the party package with 2 hr open bar. I knew this spot got live on the wknds but i wasn't sure what i walked into from the onset. As I'm walking to the restaurant, i passed some ppl who seemed like they weren't having a good night and they were fresh out the restaurant but i ain't think much of it. I walk into the corridor/waiting area and met with a man holding an iPad and it was almost like i caught him off guard or something because it looks like i wasn't supposed to even make it that far. LOL. I walked in the space and it was almost like he was NOT trying to let me in. LOL. I barely got my second foot in the door and he was on me damn near blocking me from coming in the space and getting out the cold. It was like the directive is to meet ppl OUTSIDE of the establishment and confirm their reservation, however, it was cold last night so of course he couldn't just stand outside and wait for ppl. There's a hostess station but nobody spoke with her at all. It was a weird setup. The dude at the front was hella aggressive, like he was skeptical of my being there. No greeting, nothing. Anyway, shit was a disaster! I had a reservation for 9:30, got there and had to wait to like 20 minutes because they didn't have my table ready. I could live with that because things happen, however, i was also kind of lost because they'd been texting me all damn day to confirm that im coming so i coudlnt figure how ya this ill prepared (they even texted me 30min prior to my reservation to ask my ETA). Like i said, it's a live spot and i'd seen promo on the spot for about a year so i expected nothing less, however, they don't know if they wanna be a club or a restaurant. They had mad ppl standing around because they had no tables for their reserved time. They had a party of 10 STANDING at a 4 seater table and like they was in a section in a club and gave them complimentary Prosecco because they'd been waiting mad long to sit and never had a table ready for them. Of course it was no different for me, another gentleman (using that term loosely here) came and said they only had the bar available versus a table and since i was only one i took the hit. They didnt offer any apologies for any inconveniences or anything. o they sat me at the bar (corner spot) with these thirsty dudes trying to trick on chicks and buy them mad drinks. Shit was a soap opera. Had ppl hovering over patrons seated at the bar, no courtesy, manners, apologies or anything. However, just the logistics of the restaurant, in terms of how the tables are situated, it WILL create a situation where fights get started. They had a low top table (verses a high top) setup right in front of ppl seated at the bar, however, ppl standing by the bar because there's no seating available, they either have their butts or genitals in ppl faces while they're trying to eat. I didn't even eat, just had a glass of wine, ppl watched and left. It seems to me that management doesn't know a damn thing about the restaurant business. The dudes i saw running the spot, who i assume are the owners and/or management were either party promoters who decided to open a restaurant and/or they cleaning drug money. LOL. The bartenders were just some pretty women w/ banging bodies who didn't look like they were confident in how they made drinks. I left after about 30 minutes and as a i was leaving i saw mad ppl outside like they were waiting to get in. I realized they (management/hostess) were running behind scheduled with their times and they were ppl waiting for their reservation. Later on, my cousins told me came to this location and waited 2 hours AFTER his reservation. They left and went somewhere else. I really don't see how this spot can last much longer without some major adjustment. The two good things is that it has plenty of parking and the decor is really nice. One of the best steaks I've had at a restaurant in the last couple of years, I would go back just for that alone. I just celebrated my birthday at Xperience! 10/10 service! 5 stars! from the minute we was addressed by Sabrina, she led us to our seats, and welcomed me with reposado birthday shots, then asked me to Airdrop my fave pic to her, and came out with not just 1, but 2 customized drinks, 1 one with a customized birthday message and the other drink with my picture on it! I was impressed! I love the set up and decor of the establishment, and the way the servers were dressed, plus the digital menus! Then our waiter Jason, so sweet, and very engaging, had the DJ shouting me HAPPY BIRTHDAY every hour on the hour I was there, by the end of the night, the whole place knew I was the birthday girl, and lastly the owner Sam came over and introduced himself and gave me a nice gift, our secret!!
