Took my vitals and then the staff shut the door and left the exam room. Over an hour later I finally got up and opened the door and two doctors were just sitting there. I was literally just going to leave but they said they were really busy and I was next. Went back to the room and the doctor came right in. 3 minutes of exam and he prescribed normal prescription you'd expect for a sinus infection. Was out 5 minutes later. Pretty sure they literally forgot about me because once I walked out of the exam room I got all kinds of intense attention. Upon exiting through the lobby it was completely empty.

I kindly mentioned I have been to other Express Wellness locations and only pay $25 for a copay. She then told me that the locations I had been to were new, not the same type of urgent care that their location was, and were "not in the loop yet". I have been to the glenpool, jenks, and Sapulpa locations. I have only ever paid a $25 copay. The Glenpool location is the newest, but I know the Sapulpa location has been there for years. I didn't want to cause a scene because she was persistent that I owed $75. She said I haven't reached my deductible (which has never been an issue before). My mother called the billing office immediately to address. She talked to Lori. Lori agreed with her and told me she'd contact the office then call me. She never heard back. This morning she called Lori again. This time Lori was short with my mother and basically told her we'd have to wait and see IF we'd be refunded. No direct resolution. This isn't just a customer service issue. I'd hate to see what they steal from patients that come through without healthcare coverage. Note: they are MEDNOW but have Express Wellness all over their facility. Regardless, my insurance is still in network with them.

I called my dermatologist, thinking this was more in their wheelhouse, but they didn't have an appointment available until October. That's when I figured urgent care might be my best bet. I arrived shortly after opening on a Saturday morning. There were a couple of people in the waiting room. I walked up to the window and the staff let me know I could check in electronically on my phone. I scanned a QR code and sure enough, all the intake/medical forms were online. I'm a huge fan of using less paper and this seemed extremely convenient since it also lets you know how many people are in front of you. I waited maybe 15 minutes and then a nurse called my name. She was very nice and asked helpful questions about why I was there. After the usual weigh in and intake process, she told me a doctor would be with me soon. Dr. Dan was amazing! He was in such a lighthearted mood that my mood immediately improved. He was friendly and asked lots of probing questions trying to get to the cause of the bumps. He helped me realize that it might be an allergic reaction to liquid collagen of all things. He prescribed me some tablets to make it go away and a cream. Highly recommend. The bumps are gone already. I only had to pay $35 with insurance.

My friend told me about access medical and so I looked online an booked an appointment. The site was a little confusing as to how to book it but once I did I saw that I had multiple locations to pick from as well as times. Which was great because I needed to leave town to go to Dallas that afternoon. I managed to find one near me that was in 45 minutes. They got me an immediately and I waited about 5 to 10 minutes for my results. It was nice because a medical professional comes in and talks to you about it so I was able to ask him questions about my exposure. Luckily I was negative as was the person who I was around who was around the positive person. If I ever need a rapid test again this is definitely the place I will go!

Kris is very knowledgeable and passionate about not only the mechanics of the body, but also about various methods used towards treating injuries. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to determine the root cause of nagging and seemingly perpetual injuries. Many times he would continue to do research well after our session was over in order to understand the injuries more. He was able to treat the tendonitis in both of my knees that I was certain would never go away. It was a very tough injury to treat, but Kris was resilient and did not rest until a solution was found. Not only did he treat both knees but he also gave me lifelong self-treatments I could use should the pain ever return. He even showed me how to improve my form when performing certain exercises; particularly squats. I did not realize all these years I had been performing squats incorrectly which is one of the things that contributed to my knee pain. This is just one example of his broad knowledge and expertise. Kris is also also very empathetic and aware of the inflated costs of healthcare and did whatever he could to ensure that the insurance provider paid what they were supposed to so that I would not have to pay more than I was responsible for. If you are looking for a therapist that is an expert at his craft, but yet very personable, I recommend Get Going Physical Therapy. You will not be disappointed.
